New Hosted Game! "The War for the West" by Lucas Zaper

From what I can see you only have one time to woo him and that’s after you have killed the Abyssal Spawn and to do that you have to have a high combat skill, keep fighting it and have the blade from the fallen star I would also say save before you go do it just in case.

Is there a way so I can defeat the Three in the End? Because I’ve replayed a couple times and it’s surrender or die, because it seems my stats aren’t high enough to resist. I have 46 on combat, 41 on knowledge and 44 on social

Oh man, I finally finished it. It was way better than I thought it would be, to be honest. I had my doubts with the whole managing the kingdom thing but I found myself having a blast. Characters were poorly developed but I can understand it wasn’t the focus. I’m actually looking forward for a possible sequel.

Does anyone know how to get the Thirsty Ruler / Join the Triple Chalice achievement? And not as their Hidden Oracle.

I had doubts too at first as micromanaging isn’t exactly my cup of tea normally, but I came to enjoy it so much that it was weird when the game suddenly turned more story focused after the battle with Noyades (probably I’m misspelling his name again, I noticed I tend to do so).

I just wanted to say that I absolutely had a blast with this game! The only thing I really wanted more of was character interaction but that is a testament to how interesting your characters are. I especially loved the four advisors, Lanfrey, Meybuk, Vradnir, and Jenneth.

Two little nit picky things I would have liked would be 1) the option to lie to Lady Sessanah about returning her sister, especially since I betray her and kill her husband anyway, and 2) when getting into a relationship with Vradnir I thought he would comment on the option of wanting him to be your “first in other things” if you have hardly been discreet with others (I thought it was a joke when I picked the option), and his opinion on fathering your heir if unmarried since he is married with children already and seemed very reticent to enter into a relationship with you in the beginning.

Overall I think this is one of the best Hosted Games I have played and I look forward to whatever you produce next.

I think if you get at least one stat to 50 you should be good. I had my social at over 50 and it essentially revived me.

Enjoyed the game. It somehow reminded me of Endmaster’s masterpieces (Eternal; Necromancer) though not as sombre. Thumbs up from me and looking forward for more.

I do have a question: Will the sequel feature the same protagonist (the character we played) or a different one?

So no one answer my question

How can i get abyssal armor?

Once you kill the abyssal spawn don’t send it to the temple and instead send it to the guild to study. Eventually they’ll call you and the option will be there.

I got an interesting “bug”, perhaps, were I literally exhausted everything I could do except play cardeed and pray at the temple - finished all other events, could no longer hold court, built everything, read all books and scrolls, could no longer train or even watch troops etc etc, exhausted everything basically.

Anyway I went to church like 40 days in a row and the Noyedas event eventually proc’d; feeling extra holy now.

Waitwaitwaitwait where do you learn Jenneth is your half sister? that never came up in my playthrough

You can go to “show stats,” then “options,” and there will be an option to be able to “skip time.” After that is clicked you have the option to skip “1 day,” “10 days,” or “30 days” if I remember correctly.

You need to keep the body after you kill it and then after war u will get a choice to make it or not

Give it some time? Given the author hasn’t posted here a while I assume they are busy and maybe the other players haven’t figured it out either yet? Anyway I’m curious of the answer to your question too when it get’s answered.

Does anyone know how to triggerthe duel with Noyedas? When I play he always seems to escape.

I was just wondering after I beat the game I don’t get a choice to save my game will are choices carry over or do we start as a pre-made character in the next book based on choices that were available?

Hello,

Recent CoG and HG titles will only have the save option at end once the sequel has entered the publishing queue.

Hope this clear some things up.
