New Hosted Game! "Life of a Space Force Captain"—Live a futuristic life as a starship captain!

One of the things that I love about this game is that there isn’t a single “golden ending”–all of them are the “golden ending” for someone (“Infestation” and “Cog in the Machine” are “golden endings” by Linnera and Synth standards, but not for PC, and “Ultimate AWOL” is a “golden ending” for PC and their family, but not the rest of the DSF and their allies). Except “Paradox”.

Is there an ending that jumps out as explicitly not a golden ending for anyone, other than Paradox?

Thank you, that worked! I’m now down to just 2 achievements remaining!

Supreme Leader, especially if you are heavily involved in PR a lot so the average citizen absolutely adores you. A man with what is possibly the strongest fleet and the will of the average citizen behind them can absolutely topple the existing power structure and put themselves in charge. The DSF is likely shitting their pants the entire time the Captain is alive and ‘suggestions’ from them are treated more like orders. Of course depending on how your Captain acts this could be entirely unfounded but they still likely have contingencies. The only person who directly benefits is you because your will is basically the way things will go.

Really good, of course all of Lucid games are really good. This is a techy and space setting that still is really good even though all the other stories are normally fantasy.

Intelligence is hard to level up.
Don’t spread your skills out too widely. Destroy all Humans, at least your companion humans from elementary school they need destroyed (looking at you Rachel)

Anyways, can’t wait to play this another 400 times and finally succeed at my late game checks.

Who is everyone’s RO/best friend option for this? Also, does anyone have a favourite ending, and why?

Nate/luum dont have a favorite ending yet

Luum is my favorite RO, give peace a chance is my favorite ending with supreme leader as second favorite.

Give peace a chance is my favorite because it brings a golden age and the other races join the DSF with me as president, all done through words.

Supreme leader is 2nd because I get the best toys.

Luum/Nate for RO. Gosh dam they cute and they basically play this classic “childhood friend” trope (moreso than others, since you know each other much longer)
Breezok for best Bud. I like their combination of eccentricity and deadpan face/voice (and further development of their identity down the line).

But as usual, it’s kinda close to me. Even Alex/Rachel gets good amount of sympathy.

Summary

They constantly morally diminished by their own family for being “not good enough”, despite the fact that in lore they pretty much most capable person out of your group, aside from MC(as allrounder).
Basically, most of their edginess in later half of the game(after Academy) stems from the fact that no matter how hard they try it still not enough for their family, not enough to outperform MC.
They even tell you that time they spend stranded on the planet with you is the most peacefull moment in their life… I mean, god, judging by the situation in chapter 13, even when everyone were enjoying party, Alex/Rachel was forced to listen complaints from their Parent… and that’s when you all hit 40 years.

Regarding endings…
Out of “bittersweet” ones I like both Cog and Infestation (although, I would prefer better opportunity for Linnera MC on infestation ending, but I guess not).
Out of “happier” endings - Peace/President ending.
Out of “I’m out here” endings - Mafia one.
Actually… Mafia one is probably overall my favorite one so far. Malko turned out to be much better then I originally gave him a credit.

You meet Breezok, Flok, Krag, Alex and Rachel when you’re 8. Luum/Nate is introduced when you’re 11 but we don’t know how long you’ve been friends, just that you’ve known them “a few years”. I don’t think we can confidently say you know each other much longer.

You supposed to be learning in VR before your first Social. And from the flow of youth chapters it seems like you stay with the same Cohort for pretty much all this period. So yeah, no 100% facts, but from my point of view Luum/Nate have higher chance of being you oldest friend.

Anyone know how to get your childhood friends at the start to have a high enough rep so I can invite them all in chapter 2? I can’t seem to do it. (Human player)

Which is both awesome and hilarious.

Can you escape the time bubble?

I’ve yet to reach the end but Give Peace a Chance and Supreme Leader sound fun. I actually went with Rachel for my first playthrough. Probably one of the few times I went for the rough around the edges RO. I usually hate those. I think my favorite bit (and what sealed the deal for me) was when I managed to convince her to turn on her bully friends and beat the shit out of them.

As for bff, Kyle’s my go to. I find their shy but friendly personality endearing and I liked their backstory. Plus, it’s not often you see gender fluid characters.

Is there any way I can accomplish all of that through ruthless conquest?

The 30 year jump is unavoidable. The possible points for the Paradox ending are.

Favorite RO/bestie? Krag! Nate is a close second.

Favorite endings? In no particular order: Ultimate AWOL (because my PCs are always close to their parent), Give Peace a Chance (reminds me of all the other golden endings of Lucid’s games), Supreme Leader (enjoy this faction ending more than the Artemis Society faction ending).

@Sylfaen I’d call that a golden ending for PC!

My question was for whether the bubble was permanent, which it seems like it is.

It’s been indicated that New Daria is probably in the same world as Daria classic, which is connected to the Earth in Lost Wizard. (Sadly, you can’t invade that world through a dimensional gate in this game.)

How do you get the AWOL ending? Also I just got a cog in the machine, ending, and now I’m just depressed. Sad face

Make sure that your mother is a loving parent, make sure that your mother doesn’t die at the station and finally, when your mother goes missing, investigate her disappearance and build the gate to her dimension.

Another cool ending for me was the doomsday ending, even though my character becomes the most infamous star Captain. It’s also hilarious when the doomsday device fail and you blow up the entire universe.
