I know you’ve all been perched on the edges of your seats, but now the wait is over: ChoiceBeat #18 is here! Once again, we have plenty of content of particular interest to ChoiceScript gamers!
If you haven’t given Heart’s Choice a try yet, @Mifga and I are here to change your mind. Together we created a list of ten of the best games from HC’s first seven years in business, with a brief description of each. To help you choose something just right for you, we’ve incuded information here about PC gender, romance options, spice level, and which games you can play without pursuing a romance at all.
I’ve also reviewed two Hosted Games titles in this issue, most notably July’s new release Velocity by @Fusion_Ultimatum - and if hearing how much fun I had playing it inspires you to give it a try, there’s a generous coupon just for our CB readers. If medieval Ireland is more your scene than the '90s urban setting of Velocity, there’s also a review of Clans of Éire Saga: The Brothers’ War.
This issue also contains my review of Wizard’s Choice, from Delight Games, which was apparently ported to ChoiceScript and released by Hosted Games on a certain platform about 15 years ago. I don’t know the details, and I’m pretty sure the ChoiceScript version is no longer available anywhere, but Wizard’s Choice is still listed as a HG release on the CoG website, so of course as a hardcore completionist I had to give it a try.
Plus, there’s a flowchart. Flowcharts are cool.
