So you got your dream job!
As the newest journalist for The Weekly Chirp, the sole source of information in a booming boardwalk town, you expected a life of high-stakes stories and giving a voice to the voiceless. Instead, you’re drowning in fluff pieces and award ribbons.

Just when you think you’ve reached the limits of your yawn-inducing routine, you finally catch the scent of a story. From puff pieces to baptism by fire, you find yourself in the darker side of town filled with betrayal, death, and the unknown. Find out how far you’re willing to go for the story, but ask yourself one thing, when the safety net of the mundane is gone, will you survive the fall?

There are 4 gender-locked romanceable characters, character customization (both personalities and appearances), set skill sets to choice from, and a story to get to the bottom of.

Prologue and chapter 1 are complete.

Genre: Mystery / Modern Supernatural

Pretty interesting premise, and I liked what I saw!

Not sure if you’re looking for feedback, so just as a suggestion, maybe adding the wordcount/genre to the post’s title would help people see it a bit more? I wasn’t sure what to expect when checking the post, and was pleasantly surprised that there was a good amount here.

Thank you so much for the suggestion! I’ll do that now, I’m still very new to the community and getting the hang of things and that makes a lot of sense. I really appreciate the feedback, and for reading what I have so far!

Thank you so much! That means a lot to me, and I’m hard at work on the next section of the game :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Oh this really should have more comments. This was so promising! I am so intrigued by what you have written. Some romance, career drama, mystery, and even some hints of fantasy! Plus I love the choices you’ve developed already, especially getting to customize your cat! You actually got my eldest kitty, Grace, darn near perfect. I really like this and am very excited to see where it goes. I’m already entranced by Felix. Mysterious and wealthy slacker who’s too disinterested to bother learning his coworkers’ names? Possibly a bit snobby and distracted, but probably not due to the money? Count me in! And Nora, with all her seemingly mystical aura, was intriguing too. Was she meant to seem like a little too vague regarding her job, or am I reading too much into it? Either way, I’m excited! I’ll be watching for the next update!

I agree, it definitely should have more comments, cause it’s amazin and I don’t know why it seems to be flyin under the radar at the moment

Wonderful game, great pacing :slightly_smiling_face:. Can’t wait for more interactions with our furry companion! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Thank you so much!! Which cat resembled your Grace the most? I’m such a sucker for cats, and I fully plan on using your NE companion as an excuse to learn about other peoples kitties when I get the chance. :sparkling_heart:

Also you made some wonderful observations about the two love interests already introduced, you are most definitely not reading too much into either one. I hope you stick around for the next update to figure out why Felix is a lil snobby and Nora is a lil vague when needed to be. I’m hopeful that the next update will be out at the end of this month, or the very beginning of next month.

Truthfully, pacing is my biggest worry when writing since I’m on the newer side to writing. I want to provide any required background info without dumping it on you, but I also want to get to the story without rushing. This comment has relieved a little of my worries, thank you!!
