I’m only going by this game’s version of both monsters. Did the description for the wendigo say that it literally grows in power depending on how much it eats? Because I certainly missed that, as well.
Must. Resist. Urge. To. Make. Bad. Joke.
But more on topic, I would have to say that the Wendigo is probably the most viscous and dangerous of all the monsters. To me, the wendigos feel like they would be the most likely to embrace their role as a monster, rather then being cliche and trying to feel guilty about something they had no power over.
May I ask if all the romance options have become available, since I can only find the demon, goblin, humans, vampire and Bendigo?
It’s in the monster codex in the stats menu for the wendigo. Granted, the codex refers to the powers they can attain from legends. From the codex:
A different class of legend describes the most powerful of wendigos, which are said to have ascended from cursed eaters of flesh to something like demi-gods. They are said to be able to call storms, walk through solid stone, and their appetite is truly endless - able to devour settlements, drink oceans, swallow minds.
As Sashira had said when asked if it would be possible to obtain that:
Hey now. My wendibro feels awful about the fact he has to eat people. He just wants to be a normal 200+ year old boy. [quote=“moonwalkerdragon, post:2184, topic:7014, full:true”]

As far as I’m aware, Sandy is the only one that hasn’t really been fleshed out. There aren’t any real dates yet, though. If anything, Hunter and Artemis are the only ones you can actually kiss as of now. Well… of the schoolmate ROs, at least. The monster-specific ROs like the vampire’s servant or the demon’s lover(s) are a whole 'nother ballpark.[quote=“Wire_Ryse, post:2186, topic:7014, full:true”]
I have a bad feeling that there might be monster hunters…

I can’t tell if you’re joking or not…
Ok, it’s just that I can’t find the werewolf guy at all, can someone give me a map or directions to help me find him please?
Are you playing as a werewolf? If you are, that’s why you can’t find him. 'cause you are him. Otherwise, you first see him at gym and you can sit with him at lunch and run with him in the field.
Also @Wire_Ryse, I still can’t tell if you’re joking or not! 'cause, I mean… we literally have two characters whose names kinda… explicitly state that they are monster hunters.
Ok now that makes sense…
Oh, I completely forgot about the codex. So, she is going the mythological route with the wendis. Damn. Ok, then.
A combat experienced, bloodlusted, adrenaline-high Alpha adult werewolf (still the game’s version), vs. a wendi pursuing the path to become the wendi described in that entry (VERY well fed, combat experienced, adult, bloodlusted, adrenaline-high, but with none of those powers. Yet).
That’s if you manage to become Alpha. The way Sashi described how Alphas and Betas are picked, my 'wolf guy is probably going to wind up as Beta most likely.
Funny, I’d asked about that but I didn’t get an answer. My assumption was that one of the two as-of-yet unrevealed 'wolf ROs is an omega. As far as I’m aware though, a 'wolf MC can either try for Alpha/Beta or not at all.
I never mentioned the 'wolves have a “supernatural healing factor.”
Yeah, I think a wendi without the bullshit god powers would lose, not easily, but still lose. It’s a classic case of speed vs. strength, where, if the strong guy gets a hold on the speedy guy just once, he’s finished, but if the speedy can maintain distance, and keep working in and out, then the strong guy will lose.
But if it WAS that fucking nightmare version of the wendigo, then obviously the pack will be with my werebro. In that case, I think they would eventually overwhelm it with some luck, jump it’s ass, and tear it limb from limb, albeit with heavy casualties.
So it’s a decisive wereWIN for the first scenario, and one lucky ass triumph for the second.
We’re still dope either way.
See, I just want my wendibro and Carl to be together and happy and have the pack welcome him into the fray so we could avoid any potential fights between the two species. Ain’t no reason these two species can’t co-exist. I still toot my belief that if there were more wendigos about, they’d also have a similar pack behavior. But, unfortunately, my poor guy’s likely just going to get Carl exiled or something equally angst-filled.
I’m more worried about what happens to the pack if a pack member walks in on them eating their “meal”.
I HOPE we get a chance to become the Alpha via combat. That’d be so sick.
I can get behind creating a peace between species, I’m just saying, though, show your fangs once, and I will Van fucking Helsing your ass. Anyone seen that? My favorite movie of all time.
I have a feeling I don’t want to date Wendy, and then break up with her, as I think I might lose my life.
Make it. Is it really that bad?
If you check out the details in the werewolf’s after-school scene, the Alpha is chosen through a series of trials. Trial-by-combat is arguably the most important, with the others basically only being there to make sure that the strongest ‘wolf is also fit to lead. The Alpha doesn’t necessarily have to be liked, just respected; it’s best that the Alpha isn’t easily swayed by others’ opinions.
Beta, on the other hand, is a highly social position. They collect the thoughts of the pack and try to persuade Alpha as to the best course of action. In some ways they’re the “power behind the throne.” If you’re after that job, you’ll need to rally support and prove that you can represent everyone. It’s more like traditional politics, where talking to everyone and impressing them is the priority.
It’s mentioned in the werewolf’s after-school scene (though maybe not in a part you’ve read - I may want to cut down the path variety there) that Omega is not up for grabs. There is a current Omega who isn’t stepping down. She’s only mentioned if you choose a specific series of options - she’s in her early 30s, well-liked, and has held the position for about ten years. Omega’s job is to tell stories, make jokes, make a fool of herself, and criticize the Alpha.
Actually, they do; it’s accelerated near the full moon (which is this weekend.) It’s not as fast as what a recently-fed vampire can do, but as a side-effect of their shapeshifting ability, they can repair wounds by re-asserting the undamaged shape. Like shifting, it requires fuel in the form of calories.
Werewolves have a long history of being hunted, so not drawing attention is their primary rule. Your pack would NOT be happy about you becoming a serial killer, should they ever find out about it. Going ax-crazy is not a feasible solution for a werewolf, who if tracked down for murder, would doom everyone they know. Being killed by hunters, however, is also frowned upon. Discreet options for dealing with threats will be there later on, with the choice to involve the pack in your plans or not.
Pssst - Sandy isn’t an RO. Her love for the 'cubus is entirely fan worship.
Edited to add:
Oops, missed a werewolf question -
I haven’t had time to watch that yet, though Netflix keeps suggesting I might like it. I’ve been thinking about a werewolf mythos since my childhood, when I liked mythology and wolves. The closest I’ve seen to what I imagined is Blood & Chocolate (the book, not the movie) and I highly recommend it.
/gasps dramatically/ That is… a surprise! Does that make her the one person in the relationship stats that isn’t a potential RO?
