Looking for a realistic game setting-Can i use school but without studying?

Isn’t it funny, that a thread discussing a High School game has turned to disputes over appearances, social expectations, counter-cultures, and subdued minorities?

Edit: And sex-offenders… can’t forget those…

@Drazen Dude, which High School did you go to? Because I totally would’ve wanted to go there. Less troublesome than the one I did in real life, where this stuff wasn’t at all unexpected.

@FairyGodfeather I never remember saying anything is wrong or right. I just remember saying I dont fully understand the reasoning of being androgynous if your supposedly a straight male unless there is a good reason beyond style behind it, all I said.

Feels as if words are being twisted to make me seem like some sort of bigot. I said “If your a straight guy I assume you value your masculinity at some extent so people can tell your a guy.” idk how stuff is where you live but if you dress like a woman to the extent of not being able to be distinguished from a girl, that’s not straight to me, they may be straight but that’s not straight where I come from, though there is nothing wrong with being gay or bisexual at all.

I told you I didnt wanna talk about this topic because it is dumb, dull, and will go nowhere, no one can really define what’s straight now a day. since you can even have sex with someone of your own gender and be considered 100% straight. Im just using my own views as that doesnt come off as straight to me. and yes, I am totally wrong on something I never said or implied, everyone is free to express themselves never said it was wrong, or all cross-dressers aren’t straight, it just doesnt register as straight to me to walk around fully clad in the opposite sex’s clothing when your a man, but come off as a female.

This seems like a personal matter to you, because I dont remember ever saying anything about transgenders either. I was just talking about male cross-dressers who resemble females. I dont have hate against them at all. I just call it how I see it, this topic can drag on in a billion ways, I dont wanna get into gender stuff because like I said it’s not worth talking about and seems like every person who wants to talk about is is so quick to make assumptions if you dont see it their way.

@Phoenixred019 Sorry friend, I dont mean to be a spammer.

As Phoenix has asked that the moral discussion not eat the thread, I’m responding over at http://www.choiceofgames.com/forum/discussion/comment/76282/#Comment_76282.

Sorry i haven’t been active lately. i’ve been taking a breather, trying to figure out where the game story is headed and all that. I’ll have to take this studying thing into consideration too. I might not be very active for a little while, but i’m planning on opening threads for other issues as i run across them.

@ 2Ton it’s all good, your arguments didn’t seem excessive or anything so i’m alright with it. i think what made it manageable was that it was mostly just 2 people, you and Godfeather, i don’t know how i would’ve felt if a lot of other people would’ve joined in.

to answer your other question, yes i think dating a teacher would be awkward -_- dating could potentially ruin any relationship, given how unpredictable and volitile it is. i can’t count the number of times i’ve gotten onto my boyfriend about stuff :stuck_out_tongue: and what if they break up? those usually don’t end well…

@ Turtler you have a point, i never liked it when people tried to shove morals down my throat in stories. i’ll have to keep an eye on that. that was the point of me including a couple of good endings, so it’s not like saying “dating teachers is bad, end of story.”
i haven’t written the “break up and date after graduation” ending, so i don’t know how well it would fit with the rest of the story, but if it doesn’t flow well i’ll scrap it.

@FairyGodFeather @2Ton @Havenstone @anyone discussing gender roles and expressions

i kind of ignored this part of the thread b/c i don’t really have much to say in that area. but i’ll go ahead and throw in my 2 cents in the area Havenstone linked.

Ah never mind. I’m sorry about the double post, but i don’t want to go to that thread after all. things are more likely to get out of hand there. i’ll just state my opinion here:

i don’t like complicating/mixing my genders to be honest. i’d rather just stick with the 2. that said, i’m cool with homosexuals, and think gender conduct is just a guideline, of which there’s plenty of exceptions. you’ve got tomboys (that’s me!), flamboyant gays, masculine gays, guys who like feminine colors (such as pastel pink or whatever), lesbians that dress feminine, lesbians that are butch, etc. transgenders are cool too, although i haven’t come across many so i’m not exactly used to them. i think i get where 2Ton was coming from; i actually don’t get why a straight guy would want to look like a girl, but that’s just me. Doesn’t make it wrong.

@2Ton geez it’s crazy how much hate you got for saying that. i mean, it’s good to be accepting and all that, but some differences are just hard to swallow. just because something is hard to understand doesn’t make you ignorant. frankly, i don’t understand a lot of this alternative gender stuff either. there’s no sense in bashing them (which i didn’t see you do) but you don’t have to accept and go along with everything they say either. i decided not to (re)open a can of worms by posting this on that thread, it’s probably more trouble than it’s worth. but i felt like i had to say something.

What kind of place would the school be located in? That being one of the most important elements(in my opinion that is).

And as a male junior in High school(when it starts again) I can personally attest that when their is a hot female teacher alot of the straight guys fantasy about dating them(I know I have). So it would not be abnormal to see male students desiring attractive female teachers. So I am all for teacher romance options long as there are boundaries.

Hey guys does this game have a link?
