I think he is going for a shapeshifter like in Twilight (Jacob and the crew are shapeshifters, in the book a werewolf was the most powerful monster. to kill one they needed more than 10 old and powerful vampires) something-something merry christmas.

there probably won’t be any more lycans/lycan hybrids/any kind of werewolf varient thing

shapeshifter in this setting would be kind of like any other monster capable of transformation (like lycans or dragonborns), but they are capable of much more. they can change any part of them that they please, whether it’s a partial or full transformation. they’re seen as incredibly dangerous because of what they are capable of, but they are difficult to find because of their rarity and their ability to change their form.

I like non human MC stories.

The Hunter mom and MC relationship needs to be more fleshed out in order to make sense. So, the hunter mom just decided to go around killing wolf people for fun and is waiting until MC is of age to kill them off?

I can kinda understand the hunter killing because of fear and prejudice and later growing to love and trust monsters because MC is the best, and I do like dynamic relationships.

If the hunter was only killing because she was hired to, that could also work. If the hunter killed the parents because they were diseased and would be willing to kill MC off if they caught the disease (zombie apocalypse style) , that could also work. The Hunter just needs some kind of motivation.

Shape shifters are complex. They could shift into the ro you like and make them seem like a jerk, so you have no other choice but to like the shifter more, or they could trick you into romancing them because they look like your favorite RO.

How about a Kitsune? A lycantropic human and fox spirit shifter could be a good combination.

I feel like another Lycan might not be a good idea, considering MC is suposed to be the last, but kitsunes are also canines, so there could be a feeling of familiarity with this one.

I find the entire premise very interesting. I love playng supernatural MCs, and werewolves are my favourites.

For the male RO, a shapeshifter would be interesting, but if he is a feline-like creature like a linx, panther, lion, or a tiger, I feel there could be quite a bit of funny moments with the wolf MC (bonus points for a more tsundereish romance)

Otherwise…well, dragons are always welcome by me :laughing:
