It is a tricky thing to get across to some people, and it is terrible that people feel and have suffering because they happen to be different in some way. Being an X-Men fan alongside being a Christian when I was younger taught me to respect the concept of people being different in all sorts of ways and that can gel nicely when the Bible’s idea of ‘loving your neighbour as yourself’, even if it also happens to have certain views on other matters.
I still do feel this was a teeny bit heavy handed and that maybe stuff like Gone Home got such ideas across a little better, but it’s impressive nonetheless.
