Strange for a CEO, they’re usually overconfident to a fault. Anyway, yes, that would be good character development for him, but it would come too late to salvage his relationship with my mc, his last best chance was during that first year when the mc was still regarded as unimportant and could have used a mentor figure outside of the kids his own age. Now with the keeper thing they all want a part of him and he trusts none of them and Lysander least of all as he financed the clandestine experiments that created him and in the present day has no qualms about using Altair, aka my mc’s cute incubus boyfriend as a guinea pig.
So, again, as my mc sees it his sperm donor, whenever he was present was always a malign influence on his life, never a positive one.
At little personal cost to him, it’s not exactly asking him to sacrifice much and there are better ways to obtain the stuff anyway.
No, he doesn’t do that, nor does he offer, that is made very clear in the part in the old public beta, don’t know if the current demo goes up to that point that he never did support the mc financially up to that point. And after that point…well the mc starts getting paid real money for the first time in their lives in any case and furthermore by that point the narrative has already established that the mc just can’t have nice things. So while almost eveyrbody else can look stylish if they want my mc’s choices are still dollar store bum style or knockoff Leon.
The one time we still have time to shop in the second game is when the mc is still very much lacking money…and I doubt the third game will give us (m)any opportunities to buy nice stuff for the mc.
Furthermore my mc is not interested in taking bribes or doing guinea pig or pr jobs for PMI. There’s really nothing Lysander has to offer my mc at this point. And again he is not offering anything really.
Should the mc in the third book find themselves in need of funds to save the world (as opposed to doing nice things for themselves) Lysander would still be last in my mc’s list of potential donors that would go something like this: Seraphina, Alty’s parents (even if Alty’s dad personally dislikes him), Leon’s dad, Secretary Monroe, Secretaries Patil and Celosia (the magical government), cyber-begging and only then would Lysander even enter into the picture.
He is, from the magical experiments to his new potion under development he is very much trying to control keepers, and guess what the mc is. In both cases the mc looks to be the prime subject to have to deal with the negative consequences.
But that may be professional, but then none of the currently alive parents is really trying to control the mc’s personal life at this point. Maybe Roxana would have, if she were still alive, but we do not know that for certain.
None of the others seem interested in doing so at this point in the mc’s life Isabella and Lucas are fairly typical parents of college age kids, meaning they may have been more involved during high school but pretty much let us have free rein now. Lysander and Julian actually seem to share one characteristic as far as I can see they are both completely indifferent and largely uninterested in the mc’s personal life beyond the keeper thing.
