Rules To The Game

  • There is only ever one traitor on board the Aeternitas ship. You or one of your crew. Complete the prologue to determine which traitor will be on your spaceship.
  • As crewmate, or innocent, complete your tasks, investigate the traitor’s sabotages, and accuse one of your crewmates during trials.
  • As traitor, unravel the Aeternitas crew—whether that means sabotaging the ship, incapacitation, or killing your crewmates.
  • Above all, complete your mission.

Romance Options (ROs)

This game splits ROs into Primary and Secondary categories. Primary ROs are much more likely to be a traitor in a given route. Secondary ROs are much less likely and have somewhat less content.

Primary ROs

SUSPECT 01: PENI CHROMIK

“I suppose every ship would have preventative measures. Although, a take over implies something starts a takeover despite those measures. That’s… probably not good.”

Penelopka “Peni” Chromik is a budding microbiologist charged with racketeering. Shy and anxiety prone, you’ll find her holed away in a warm corner studying. You’ll find her to be very compliant.

SUSPECT 02: HARUTO AMASAKI

“I am not a space monster. I do not eat people.”

Haruto Amasaki is a disciplined, reserved man charged with arson. He is near silent and virtually unreadable. You’ll have to work around his disciplined nature.

SUSPECT 03: BLAIR WOLFE-GUERRA

“There aren’t any licensed space-therapists! You’d think AEONNS would’ve made a work-around by now. It’s like they want us to go crazy.”

Blair Wolfe-Guerra is a former TV actor for the popular, long-running series Space Tour: Another Journey. They are eccentric and scarred from a prior scandal unrelated to their charge of conspiracy to commit first degree murder. You’ll have to tolerate their flippancy towards order.

SUSPECT 04: MALONE PARRISH

“If you cannot sleep, shall we make a club? Insomniacs In Space.”

Malone Parrish, an actor in theatrical plays, is charged with murder of multiple victims. He dislikes being controlled, so he’s forced to wear a metal collar that can kill him.

Secondary ROs

SUSPECT 05: TSUBASA LUNA

“There are agents hell bent on taking AEONNS down. Agents who might’ve infiltrated AEONNS. […] It’s possible one of our crewmates is an impostor.”

Ship Commander Tsubasa Luna is a former pilot and is the head honcho on the Aeternitas spaceship. Cool and collected under pressure, she’s not threatened by any convicts on board. She will protect her crew. Hurt the crew to her hurt her.

SUSPECT 06: DUNCAN HURST

Shows like this’re the closest humanity will ever get to time travel.

Spaceflight Participant Duncan Hurst is a miserly, old retiree. A guest on board, they will document and observe the lives of felons completing the first manned interstellar mission. They don’t have a criminal history. Beware their authority.

SUSPECT 07: CLEMENTIA

“I do not understand the prompt. How can I be in want of dreams if I do not know what dreams are?”

The ship’s AI Clementia helps out where your astronaut training is lacking. Clementia has knowledge of nearly everything and everyone on board the spaceship. Including information only reserved for the Ship Commander. The server room is vital to your mission.

SUSPECT 08: AERIN DOVECOTE

“Friends don’t come creeping out of vents this late at night, after all. I thought we had something special […].”

The Ship Librarian, Aerin Dovecote, is a gender-selectable crewmate formerly apart of a witness protection program. You’ll find the librarian buried in books, seeking to learn about everything and anything. The Librarian is vital to your mission.

Features

  • Complex MC customization. Choices have butterfly effects and reactivity within the game. Play as cis, trans, nb.
  • Decorate your space room. Earn credits to purchase more decorations. Be careful—some items come with consequences.
  • Choose from five (5) ship roles: Navigator, Botanist, Doctor, Engineer, or Steward.
  • Investigate traitor sabotage events and accuse crewmates during trials.
  • In-game glossary sorted alphabetically, categorically, and searchable through typing.
  • In-game note-taking system. (More reliable once the game is completed.)
  • Two gameplay modes: Guided or Detective.

Other Information

  • I’m visually-impaired. I prefer if error reports used nightmode or dark backgrounds. If you use whitemode (light backgrounds), I’ll have to take all the images and invert, which just takes a little longer.
  • Depiction of themes is not endorsement. This game is 18+. There is adult content as it is a murder mystery, social deduction game.
  • Music seems to play better on the itch demo and not as much as the COGDemos.
  • I’m still a little sick so I’m moving slow. But I’ve already started work on reported typos and continuity errors.
  • I’d love helpful feedback! I don’t know everything, so it’s amazing to learn more from you all.

Very interesting I liked what I’ve read so far. From the characters introduced so far I think I like Clementia the most. I patiently await more

Played through. Some thoughts.

Give up.

Astronaut staring at camera
Your mission is over.

You’ll spend however long your sentence is among the stars hallucinating. It doesn’t matter if what you see is true. Your discovery will die with you — unless humanity sends their next generation of interstellar astronauts to complete what you failed to do.

The picture in this section didn’t load for me.

#I am asexual.
#I am not asexual.
#I’m still a virgin.
#I’ve never dated anyone before.
#I’ve got a lot experience in bed.
#That’s all.

I think some of these choices are mutually exclusive pairs? It might be better to separate them into individual choice blocks. The multiple choices on screen system can be used here too. I can try to dig out the code for it.

天崎 遥斗 (Amasaki Haruto)

Check the kanji for Haruto’s name in the game.

Haruto entered a Kyoto subway station at around 14:00 wearing an all black outfit, a hood, and a black mask. When a west-bound train arrived, Haruto threw an incendiary agent inside the slightly packed train.

Isn’t Haruto studying in Tokyo? How did he end up in a Kyoto subway station?

Malone was charged possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, homicide of four victims, and sentenced to a minimum of 24 years in prison and life on license.

Tsubasa joined the Royal Aeronautic Force of Canada at 16 to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Studies at military college. As an Officer Cadet in training to become a pilot, Tsubasa excelled at training and exams and earned her Pilot’s Wings at 17.

You’ll need about four years to get a bachelor’s degree and commission, and another 1-2 years of ground training before you get them. No way you can compress that into one year, no matter how good you are.

* Tsubasa completed her degree and continued regular force duties as a pilot and Air Operations Officer. Her commissioned rank at the time of being dismissed with disgrace was Lieutenant Colonel, after a career of 27 years.

You’ll need about 15 years of commissioned service to hit Lieutenant Colonel. Unless you have… connections.

Good luck!

Yes, you’re so thorough. Thank you!

My research bounced between 12-14 years. Since it’s not my area of expertise, I’ll lean more towards your helpful insight.

Right, that matches the research I’d done on American and Canadian pilot military (I’m so sorry, I’m blanking on the word). I’ll add this to the to-do list.

Spoilers.

Oh, do they not work in-game? I wanted to use a nanori reading—custom pronunciation for Kanji—for Haruto’s name.

  • 天 is ten (but also ame, ama-), or “sky”. Amasaki can be spelled like 甘崎 or 大西風, but I was worried the punny meaning would be lost. I also wanted a small nod to the Milky Way Galaxy (amanogawa or 天の川).
  • 遥 is haru(ka), or “distance”. I wanted a fun pun with 春 (haru, springtime).
  • 斗 is to, which can be a traditional masculine name end or an astronomy reference.

I’ll look into your bugs and differentiating choices.

I think this was the passage in the game, which is just Ama rather than Amasaki. (But I’m not an expert on Japanese.)

Haruto Amasaki (in Japanese: 天遥斗) was born in ███████████ and moved to the Kyoto prefecture in Japan at the age of four. Growing up in the small city of Mukō, Haruto flourished in physics, rocketry, and engineering courses.
