Seems really interesting. Will your character start as some sort of a Knight/Paladin type or a light mage?

It’s called black magic mostly because just Night-Thinker uses it, but it has various types. Life stealing is one of them.
Both races born with types of power. Day-Dreamers can heal and with training can become more faster than the normal. Night-Thinkers has control of the shadows and something else that I forgot know

I would definitely play this. The premise sounds cool. Maybe even let players choose which MC to play one from the day dreamers and another from the night thinkers (not necessary, but an interesting thought. I enjoy books that flip perspective. GOT is a good example.)

Will the romance with the Night-Thinker be something that HAS to happen, or will it be a choice?
Also, since you’re gender-flipping…I’m always curious…will it just be a pronoun switch, or will the characters receive minor changes along with the gender switch?

It will be your choice, you can just befriend them if you wish
