“Seven will be Seven” = Seven is canonically intense, clingy and led by their emotions, whether it makes sense or not. This is their arc. And this was true before the vote and the MC has commented on it in the game. MC says something like “Seven just feels everything ten fold”. Even if Seven has changed in some ways, MC still knows them enough to recognize this behavior. Meaning not everything has changed.
So it’s not really an assumption, it’s just reading the text. And in terms of the vote, Amy has stated that the relationship/friendship would have ended regardless of the vote happening and that’s also hinted at in the reading of the text.
Maya does seem a bit younger than she is, but the band + MC/Seven being 27ish is absolutely perfect for the story. If they were in their early twenties, it would not have worked for various reasons. Plus, I am kind of tired of playing teenagers or college-aged kids. I promise you, 26-30 is not old lmao. I saw someone saying that Seven seems too immature for being 27, but you guys. You guys! 27 is so young. Like it is SO young, it kinda blows my mind a little bit that somebody actually thinks 27-year olds are supposed to be these mature, serious, accomplished people. I like that Amy made it story about somewhat-realistic musicians and not about a bunch of teenage prodigies.
Not to mention that there’s nothing wrong with not being mature all the time, even if you’re, say, 80. (Although being immature at wrong time is another thing.)
Is it? Twenty-seven is usually the time when you’ve gotten your shit together, got a job, finished a degree, maybe married, maybe everything else. Being a free spirit without a care in the world in 27 feels to me like either you’re a child of rich parents that can afford to sustain your lifestyle or you’re just naturally lucky to stay young in your soul.
Having everything figured out by your twenties is highly unrealistic and tbh I don’t like the idea that life has “pitstops” to follow, but if you’re in your mid twenties and your life is cool then kudos to you. Wish that were me
It checks out that you think like that at 20. This is not a jab at you or anything. I was like this too, until actual life happened to me. Who said that you have to get your shit together by the time you are 27? Who defines what that “getting shit together” even means? A degree, a marriage, a job, and suddenly you are this mature person? Absolutely not. The thing is, the pipeline “bachelors at 21, masters at 23, a good job and a pension plan by 25, marriage by 26” is at best outdated and suffocating, at worst impossible and plain stupid. Life is so goddamn unpredictable. The world around us is so unpredictable. We live and grow all the time. Why are we supposed to be all these things so fast? Twenties are for enjoying youth and trying to make sense of this life, not for running around like a headless chicken, trying to tick all these boxes… for who, exactly? To prove what?
Haha yeah, it’s more the moment you need help from an adult but then realize YOU are the adult. And people just expect you to keep it together so you put on a front and do.

I had my burnout with 27 so I might come from a place of desillusionment. But I was also always one of the older ones and thus people thought I had total control but on reality I was a mess. Just good at compartmentalization
I don’t think it is a negative discussion. There is no hate but you are right since it is very subjective experience. We will not come to an understanding that will make everyone happy and that is A-OK

Oh, yeah I am still figuring out my MC for G. I want G to find some happiness. (Hope we can play being friends when we don’t romance them because they need some help and true friends and relationships)
I must confess. I am thinking about an MC that is still hung up on Seven in the beginning and has never been with anyone after the break but now falls on love with G. That MC would absolutely believe in Fate. I think that could mesh with G well who from what I remember beliefs in fate or soulmates or something

You can have different routes for same MCs! Like, say, what if my MC, Ivan, was slowly realising that his constant hounding of Seven isn’t healthy and that he needs to at least try moving on?
What if he finds August to be a constant and calming presence in which his mind doesn’t rattle like a caged rat? That’ll be August!Ivan, and my original would be Seven!Ivan. In my mind routes work like this.
