This is why I think Seven may start having sex with Avina before the MC can get anywhere with them. It’s obvious Avina wants to be with Seven, and Seven is already attached to them. When the MC–who Seven fucking hates–starts trying to win them back or win them period (in a ex bff route), it’s going to make Seven freak and grab on tighter to their “rock”, which is Avina. And Seven is the most angsty route of the bunch, so it’s not going to be easy or fast, and will probably mean the MC has to accept a lot of shitty treatment and pursue Seven despite not only Seven’s hatred of them but Seven’s attachment to Avina.
I just think it’s going to get really ugly. And Seven won’t be all in for a very long time, which means it wouldn’t be out of character for them to start romancing Avina to keep the MC away, and wouldn’t think they’re using Avina because they obviously love them.
Avina would totally accept a Seven who suddenly wants to romance them, I think. And the would shit on the MC in a heartbeat to get what they want. They already dislike the MC on Seven’s behalf, so they aren’t going to play nice. They may be polite enough on the surface, but they see the MC as the villain as much as Seven does.
Maybe I’m reading them wrong, but I think they would be malicious about it in order to (in their mind) protect Seven. I can see Avina reminding Seven how ruined they were after the thing with the MC, to discourage Seven from even considering it. And continuing to beat that dead horse the entire time MC is begging and pleading to get Seven back (which I think will be the only way the MC can get them back).
Oh, I agree. There will definitely be growth and they’ll either get past the MC altogether or agree to have some kind of relationship with walls up between them so they never get as close as they were again (or as close as they are with Avina).
That sounds nice, but we’re talking about a character who is incapapable of sleeping in a bed alone. And they’ll be on tour with their band all the time, and Avina is their bedmate… do you really think Seven will stop sleeping in the bed with Avina just because they and the MC are in a relationship? While the MC is never around and Avina is there? I mean, they have to have someone in the bed and they trust Avina, so I don’t see that stopping, no matter what happens with the MC. And maybe most people are okay with that. From where I stand, it ends up looking like a v-poly, where Avina is the one with Seven almost always and the MC gets moments here or there.

Since that pov was somewhere in the past, seeing as Avina were somewhat sympathetic towards the mc during the bus scene, do you think they might have changed their opinion of the mc even a bit?

I think the “sympathy” was an act, personally. Avina’s hatred of the MC isn’t going anywhere, because it’ll be one more thing to make sure it takes even longer to get anywhere with Seven. Because Seven will listen to Avina when they bash the MC, and it’ll help Seven keep their own hatred of the MC fueled.

I still have my reservations when it comes to Avina but I do agree with Jamo that they want to protect Seven more than preventing the mc to get close to them again. Avina saw Seven at their worst, they still see how the MC affects Seven so I can understand them wanting to protect Seven and perhaps getting in the way but not maliciously.

Lol! (on ex-route) How did Seven cope with it when they were on the same band, I wonder, and MC needed to be somewhere else? Did they sleep with another person on the same bed and have sexual ideas going around their head every single time😂?
Look. I think we should consider that in some countries, friends of the same sex/gender sleeping together on the same bed is normal when one or the other is staying over at their house.

Ngl if that happened then I’m out of the seven route. My mc already chose to share bus with UW to not see them together…if seven got with avina and mc had to witness it? No thank you.
And yes my mc is a hypocrite bc she will defo flirt with other guy characters to make seven jealous but it’s different bc avina and seven could have potential of feelings whereas my mc would just have flings that meant nothing.
Yeah petty logic from my mc but she already feels her heart break everytime she sees seven. She believes in fate and all that stuff so being still hung up over him and this tour and that…gonna make for one chaotic crazy wild ride

A lot of speculation, some of which I think is very unlikely and based on a heavily pessimistic reading. They’re protective of their friend, who they currently have a platonic relationship with and have heard a lot of bad things from a biased perspective about the MC.

Doing a complete 180, I’m still… fascinated? intrigued? by MC’s parents. Not just their dynamic with MC, but their dynamic with each other because, like, they seem similar enough and yet so different at the same time. MC’s mom is a pragmatist, where MC’s dad, from the passing mention we got, is more of an idealist (mom saying, “getting close to people is a knife in the back” v. dad thinking that’s a miserable way to live). It seems like such a fundamental difference to me, but I also think it’s so telling that it’s MC’s mom that’s reaching out to them, despite it all; something about actions speaking louder than words.
Or I’m just reading too much into it. I love terrible parental figures in IF!

MC is practically begging her for a tiny bit of validation — not even praise, just acknowledgment of an achievement — and she can’t even pretend to give it. And honestly, if my partner was telling our kid that getting close to people lead to inevitable betrayal, I’d claw their eyes out. At the end of the day, though, MC’s sweet, darling dad is still incommunicado and their mom is the one making the effort, as shitty and awkward as it was. Does that mean something? Probably not, but still.

There is no choice the mc cannot be as big of an asshole as Blake period, they don’t have Blake’s attitude, modicum of stardom or temperament to back it up, at current best the mc can be slightly mean about things but the mc being mean is kinda like a yipping chihuahua, nobody really takes it seriously because it is just hot air backed by nothing at all.
If anything mc is a far more pathetic version of Blake without even Blake’s success at minor stardom and unlike Blake mc is not a confident bad-boy leader type either.
Since I don’t have the Patreon in your opinion do they hate the mc even more than Blake?
