I don’t think that’s something you need to worry about. Being a people pleaser is canon for the MC, per Amy. It’s something you can change as the story progresses (and will likely have to change, to some extent).
I think the band is getting more serious about trying to win, to some extent (they still act like a bunch of overgrown children and are annoying when it’s time to get to work), but they also think they can boss the MC around. My MCs didn’t drink, but not because of the band, because they didn’t want so screw up their performance. I imagine there will be a lot more of the band trying to “control” the MC somewhat. The romances that aren’t August will probably be sticking points for the band, each in their own way.
Good point. We aren’t sure how the story is gonna go and no doubt we are heading to some major confrontations. Seven is apparently beating the end of their arc but makes sense that in chapter 3 the MC would still be early on.
Even August will probably be an issue considering the MCs disastrous history of dating inside the band.
I do hope that the band can grow up. It would suck if the MC is left at the end of the story with no one but the ROs as genuine connections (I mean that could be A ending but ya know)
Apropos of nothing, just because you already have one backup singer doesn’t mean you can’t use more. Eurovision (singing competition) allows I think six, and that’s a limitation. Think bigger, band. I want my symphony orchestra.
In any event, my biggest gripe with the band is that “boundaries? Never heard of 'em” comment. I can deal with them being overgrown children and not knowing how to deal with stuff, but that one is unforgivable.
Also regarding the tattoo, my MC would probably prefer if Seven didn’t keep it. (He got his own covered with a phoenix, because he’s trying to remind himself to rise from the ashes.)
The “boundaries” thing is pretty understandable if you pick for your MC to treat as normal changing in front of one another because you’ve been doing that during the whole high school period and how that affected your sense of privacy (or lack thereof)
Performers, such as singers, dancers, and athletes are used to being in situations where they share personal space with others that is not the case in places like gyms.
Yet, even in such public/private sharing scenarios there are boundaries established with formal or informal rules.
Even models who do everything in front of others have boundaries established.
The MC’s band has been in dive-bars and other places that may blur the public/private areas and as such, boundaries should have been established years ago.
Is it? I mean, I don’t have a problem with the scene itself, or the band acting the way they do in any other options but the one where the MC is “please don’t do that” and they laugh you off.
I feel like people are focusing so much on the whole “band” aspect that they’re overlooking those people are not just singers, dancers or athletes used to sharing public spaces 100% professionally, but first and foremost long-time friends. I’d say there’s good chance they’ve entered one another’s bedroom in the morning more than a few times over the years.
Exactly they more or less treat the mc trying to set certain boundaries or rules as a joke which is a frustrating thing in my opinion and it goes without saying that they disrespect the mc far too often or just vanish when it suits them.
Or like Elvis, with The Jordanaires. I hadn’t thought about that. Still, Seven isn’t a backup singer, and the band wasn’t Elvis, so… I don’t blame Seven at all for walking.
I think a lot of MCs (mine included) would like Seven to keep it. But, given the fact that 7’s romance arc is about growing up and not being so attached to MC (so if it ends, 7 doesn’t lose it), I think it’s a given that the tatt is history, probably sometime soon.
It’s disrespect, pure and simple. They’re so used to running roughshod over MC that they think it’s funny when MC actually demands to be treated like a human being with their own feelings, thoughts, and desires. That scene pissed me off.
The problem is that they’re adults, not children. Children, in general, have zero understanding of “privacy” and “personal space” (I did, because I was a weird kid and wanted to be left the fuck alone and not bothered constantly, but I still would barge in on my older brother to harass him on Saturday mornings because I wanted him to get up and watch cartoons with me). When you grow up, you stop that crap and have some respect for other people and their desire for solitude and privacy. Not the band, though. They couldn’t give less of a damn about it.
Friends or not, family or not, you simply don’t disrespect people that way, especially when they flat out tell you to have some boundaries and not just expect them to drop everything to do your bidding and accept you barging in whenever you please.
That’s my opinion, too. I don’t consider them dependable when the MC actually needs support, but find them much too overbearing to tolerate the rest of the time.
I’d expect my friends to listen to me when I tell them to knock first and not give me a heart attack when I’m trying to sleep.
I’m not blaming Seven either, I just find the “we don’t need another” opinion ridiculous. Because you absolutely do. As long as everyone fits on stage, you can’t have too many singers in a chorus.
I think it kind of depends – if you haven’t made an issue out of it for over a decade, then suddenly hearing you’re concerned about your privacy can often appear first as simple joking around to people who never heard that sort of requests from you.
It’s not necessarily omg disrespect but simple misunderstanding and responding with jokes to what one thought was a joke in the first place.
If i’m not mistaken we aren’t told how MC has acted in this regard in the past.
They drag MC out for a party after barging into their room without permission whether MC wants it or not. There’s an option to state that they will do this whenever MC likes it or not, and they seem pretty smug afterwards. G does so as well (room-barging), and for me, a very private person, this is a very severe “this person doesn’t care about my comfort” ding.
They also start ruffing through MC’s personal shit! Just tell him that he needs to go part-ey, what was that for? I started disliking G after they did that as well.
Band seriously catching heat for some things I didn’t expect honestly. The room scene really bugged some people that bad. I’m still giving them leeway especially since the story is still in it’s early days.
As for the backup singer thing you can absolutely have more than one backup vocalist. Irl bands have done this and mainstream ones at that so I don’t really know about this one tbh.
I think some things partaining the band is I think stretched too far but that’s my opinion. Same thing I saw in this situation as well and was my interpretation but to each their own
This game is too good. Every update just makes me more excited. I cannot wait for the game to come out. I also spotted some pronoun issues with Oriana, sometimes the game would gender her has he/him. Idk if this is new because I haven’t played in a while, and just finished a run where i set their gender as female.(Im my previous runs, they were male).
Yeah they do. I didn’t get it much. They say Seven and MC are better seperate. However MCs voice is better than Sevens. ‘Claim’ is Seven is better performer. I disagree with Cosplay and performance as a choice. Unless he cosplays and dances around too? Sorry Mr Seven.
Maybe if he dresses as a certain wolfie butler, he would get tons of attention?
I certainly would be dressing up as certain animes. Dress as mostly women characters from anime games and shows.
Seven just dresses as standard emo black get up.
Ms Seven, may get romanced in the future. Oriana for now is just too much to bypass.
