Max Lloyd-Jones is my Sebastian, but before I settled on that, I just imagined one of those yellow smiley faces set into a generic blonde man’s body or, like, a blur where the face should be.
Apologies for bringing the conversation back around, but I saw people discussing Avina and wanted to give my two cents too! My very impression upon first meeting her was a resounding oh no, because I was so ready for yet another “side character pines over your chosen boo and/or is about to create drama and be a massive b for no reason, other than early 2000s clichés” but after reading the whole thing im like. I don’t mind?
Like obviously it stung because I like Seven and want to see this rollercoaster, but Avina seems like a good presence for them so I’m playing the sad pining MC but also good for them? Sdfks like idk it’s weird. I’m not used to good vibes regarding side characters in this role lol.
And this is where I say that I don’t know if there’s any patreon snippets etc, so if she’s supposed to be a rival of sorts then my castle of cards is about to crumble lol.
Speaking of Seven and Sevenmancers, what’s the tattoo situation, gang? Are we being ballsy and showing it off, did we cover it permanently out of anger (and maybe regret it coff) or the standard hiding it from view? I’m curious as for what sort of headcanons everyone has for their relationship with them
That’s a very good face claim.
, I mean the expression I imagine Seb having while talking to the mc is very similar to that one, hands in their pockets and all.
My Seven-mancer still in love with them conceals it, the other that has moved on has removed it (in their defence they thought it was a stupid idea from the begging) and the ex-bff as covered it with something else.
Avina is very sweet! There’s nothing to dislike about them, and there’s really no saying with certainty that their relationship with Seven is Like That. They’re just uber close. It feels bad to say Avina replaced MC, because I don’t think anyone could ever fully replace MC, but Avina is in the MC’s old spot now, which isn’t necessarily a romantic position. But they’re nice!
My sevenmancer!MC kept it they cared enough to get it in the first place, and my sevenmancer!MC is super sentimental, so getting rid of the tattoo would feel, to her, like getting rid of the last little bit of Seven she still has. Like a betrayal, almost, or a permanent goodbye. The sevenmancer!MC isn’t the only one that still has it, but they’re the only that openly displays it.
LMAOOO everyone’s clowning Sebastian is hilarious
Also, what the fuck did we do to Seven so much that every choice led him to getting angrier or furious with us bro didn’t even let ME talk to him for a second wtf. Not that I would love to sit and drink tea with you emo boy
My mc kept it but conceals it…she doesn’t want seven to know that he still has a hold over her lmao. It would be interesting tho if u still have it and conceal there’s a choice to slip up at some point in the story and for seven to see haha
lmao I like seb but I still agree with all the comments on him
Also, Blake isn’t a full romance, which I’m guessing means it never comes to fruition and is just flirting. Though I’m not convinced any of the others will come to fruition before the very end, either, so meh. And your MC will be a yandere no matter what route they choose, so go with your gut. That’s why I’m leaning toward G. If my MC is forced to be a yandere, it may as well be with a married man instead of just her ex that hates her, another guy that hates her, or her manager who isn’t interested.
Depends on who you go for, I think. Amy had a list of who is sub or dom on her tumblr, and it appeared almost all of the guys were subs or switches.
A Patreon snippet this week seemed to me to be a surefire sign that Avina has a thing for Seven. And given Seven’s attachment to them, they’re clearly a rival. Along with whoever Seven was giggling at on the phone in the demo.
Mine has it and tries to hide it. She hasn’t had the heart to remove it, but after having Savina shoved down her throat and having Seven spit on her, she might go get it removed, because sleeves are bullshit.
It may feel bad but Avina totally replaced the MC and is apparently good for Seven, when the MC was shit for Seven (per Amy’s tumblr).
In an ex situation, the MC claimed to love Seven, then betrayed them by not standing up for them against the rest of the band. They promised forever, then… basically cut and run, in Seven’s eyes. So there’s nothing they can do to make up for that kind of betrayal, and everything they try just pisses them off more.
Plus, Seven was happy not having anything to do with the MC and now the MC is there in their sight and they hate it, and hate the MC more for it.
While the gay community is incredibly diverse and you can certainly find some of us adhering to those tropes for myself, and I think the majority of the gay community the liberating thing is that you’re both the man and there is no woman or female equivalent in the relationship.
I say it feels bad because Avina and MC are their own autonomous characters, not collectible knick-knacks. Their relationships with Seven will be inherently different because MC and Avina are different people. And Amy has never said this, as far as I’m aware. The most she’s said is that MC and Seven were co-dependent, which is a problem, but their relationship itself wasn’t bad or toxic.
Sebastian is such a sweetheart I love a good DILF.
Also Rowan baby here’s an advice, Seek a THERAPY ffs stop starting fight and talk like a person. And in the FIRST DAY TOO I’m tired, and I’m woozy, don’t give a crap about the world, I’m chill, seeing Seven my ex makes me anxious enough create an headache in me and wants to punch them in the face but I’m holding IT. my mom even though I miss and wants to see my parents, but hearing my mom’s words before hanging up is such a…
In and out.
Try this:
Specifically:
Honestly, saying this might hurt everyone, but I think they’d be happier. Post-fight Seven is just so….drained all the time. They’re so stuck in a past that has left them a shell of their former self. Alternatively, though, pre-fight Seven wouldn’t have been as happy in their adolescence. MC really brightened up their childhood, even with their father in the mix.
So Seven would’ve been better off never meeting the MC. That is just how bad the MC is for Seven. And just to stress, she specifically says this is her thinking about the endings for the ROs, so I guess even if Seven and MC end up together (if that’s possible), they’d still have been better off never knowing the MC at all.
And yeah, MC and Avina are autonomous, but the point stands that Avian took the MC’s place in Seven’s life. Ergo, they’re a replacement for the MC, and a much better one, according to the above post, since Seven would be happier had they never even known the MC.
Yeah, I did see that ask. I also saw where you conveniently left out this part:
Alternatively, though, pre-fight Seven wouldn’t have been as happy in their adolescence. MC really brightened up their childhood, even with their father in the mix.
MC and Seven have high highs and low lows because they bonded over shared trauma at a formative age and were co-dependent to an unhealthy degree. They were barely their own individuals by the time they broke up. I’m sure we’ll be able to find compromise and build something stronger if we choose to romance them. But we don’t have to romance them, MC can also just move on!
I didn’t “conveniently” leave it out. None of that undoes the statement before it stating that Seven would now–and apparently at the end–still have been better off and happier without ever having met the MC.
The rest may cushion the blow a bit, but it’s still a gut punch with a tire iron.
That’s why for me is more realistic to think that they would just reconnect during the contest and get back together later in life when they both have fully grown into their own person. I don’t think a contest is the best setting for that but definitely for the begging of a stronger relationship/friendship if both parties want it ofc. But I’m more than fine suspending my belief to fully embrace a happy ending.
Hi everyone,
Please remember to focus on the story/game and not shift your focus to other posters.
Thank you!
Okay! And that’s not a dealbreaker for me, but I can see how it would be for other people. The only reason I said that it felt bad to say that Avina replaced MC is because I don’t think people, even people who occupy similar emotional roles, are replaceable, that’s all. That’s all I meant.
Yeah! I wouldn’t ever go for someone like Seven irl, but it’s fun to explore all those little nuances and complications and the grief of shared history in fiction. If this were real life, I’d be shouting at MC to get a grip and let go.
