Infamous if (band wip) chap 3 (457k wrds) released (9/08/2024)

People talking about G, Seven, etc.

Meanwhile, I’m just flirting with everyone until I have to make a choice. Can’t wait for that to backfire horribly.

Same. Well, with some minor exclusions and occasional self-restraint, but generally making mess of things is the best.

I’m tempted to make a character who does this. It’s what my husband did with one of his MCs, and he’s having a blast with it. He says it’ll be funny when it backfires.

It’s not really a “head canon” though? Seven is canonically an immature person. It shows through in the way that they behave towards mc and their thoughts in patreon posts.

Nothing is really their fault yet they’re sad and angry and mc should tiptoe around that whilst they vent at mc.

Tbh when I compare them to a literal 2 year old I’m joking about…but the point still stands that so far in story they haven’t treated mc well.

i agree. like even if u choose that MC didn’t vote seven out, they still stood by while seven was clearly unhappy and growing more and more distant. plus, avina loves seven (platonically) & obviously only knows his perspective on what happened and sided with him which is what a friend would do.

im the same, if my friend tells me abt some bullshit that happened to them i’ll be like “oh yeah girl your ex is trash we hate them :nail_care:”. honestly i’d be a lot less civil to my friend’s ex who hurt them than avina is to MC (from what i remember they don’t actually do or say anything to them?).

but yeah part of me is annoyed by avina because, from the MC’s perspective, they are their “replacement” which would be annoying to see. on the flip though, i fully understand why avina would be bitter towards the MC because the only real knowledge they have about them is how much they hurt their best friend.

I think that the MC DID try to reach out but Seven kept brushing them off and then eventually just ghosted them. Seven is my toxic love forever and ever but bro really just needed (and NEEDS) to be open with their feelings!! I think this fight wouldn’t have been nearly as bad as it is now if seven just used their damn words. But then there would be no juicy hate/love situation rn so I’m living for it.

This could be me misremembering, but isn’t it hinted at (though not explicitly laid out) if you say that you voted to keep them in, the issue wasn’t the vote or the way it went – the vote was just the catalyst for an unseen argument that happened in the past, during which horrible things were said, and its the hurt from the argument that made Seven cut ties with MC.

And Amy flat out says that Seven is immature on her tumblr, and that everyone knows Seven is immature. Arguing against people whose go-to is calling you a “Karen” for not agreeing with their take on Seven is pointless, though. Best to ignore it and move on, while not being bullied into backing down on your very valid position.

And it still stands that Seven isn’t at the emotional development stage of at 12-13 year old, as you stated before. Seven lacks the self-awareness of even a teen.

this is entirely possible for sure. but in seven’s mind, even if MC objectively didn’t actually do anything wrong, MC is still the “bad guy” to him and the one who hurt him the most. so avina is going off of seven’s (likely unreliable) recollection & their only knowledge of MC comes from that. i still think they’re being very civil compared to how they could be acting

nah babes you’re right, if you voted to keep him in then in seven’s POV (from patreon) he clung onto that knowledge and hoped it’d be enough to save your relationship. it’s what happened at the party that destroyed all hopes he had of you going back to normal.

TBH I HOPE SO because it’d make seven/MC getting back together even more juicy and dramatic!

Yeah. The party argument. They said some bad, hurtful stuff to each other, seven stopped talking to mc for a month. Refused any contact. Then came back and made the break up official.

word, I honestly don’t hate them lol. Avina is just having their friends back, I do think there’s a little one sided pining going on on their behalf though… :eyes:

I’m really hoping that whatever the MC says to Seven in that past fight is a choice so our MC isn’t forced to be a complete and utter villain, making Seven “right” in order to justify them being such a prick. If the MC is forced to be a hurtful shit, it will make the MC even worse to play, since Saint Seven can never be wrong.

my prediction is that whatever MC says/does will be at least kinda equal to whatever seven says/does (i assume severity will differ on choice), because the author has said she doesn’t agree with seven & that he is emotionally unstable— or at least more emotionally unstable than the MC.

IIRC the conflicts were mainly post-vote, over differences in what artistic direction to take and other such things, combined with Seven being unable to find themselves in the backup role despite trying. It’d eventually became all too much.

Oops, I read that wrong! I agree. She has flat out said that Seven is more ̶m̶e̶n̶t̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ emotionally unstable than the MC, and that that’s pretty much Seven’s plot.

Pertinent parts:

Everyone knows Seven is childish, everyone knows Seven is handling everything terribly. People in the story have mentioned it. Their abandonment issues GREATLY influence their characterization and actions. MC has abandonment issues as well, of course, but MC is not as emotionally unstable as Seven. That’s canon. It is what it is. Seven has a whole subplot about it.

Possibly worth to note though that the wording very much suggests that MC is also to some degree emotionally unstable. Also, there’s a difference between emotionally (what the author said) and mentally unstable (what gets peddled around)

yeah that’s my bad i didn’t mean to say mentally unstable, seven is emotionally unstable which r very different things.

You’re right. Fixed it!

My recollection is that if you voted to keep Seven in the group Seven insists you should have quit in protest at her demotion. While your character attempts to argue in favour of smoothing things over. The player character does seem to be the stable one.
