The secret is definitely about Seven’s home life imho. Blake “wears a secret smile” at the viewing party when BOTB pushes Seven about it and they snap at the interviewer. This scene is soon after the scene where Seven confronts Blake.

Maybe Lucy keeps pressuring Seven to reconcile with MC before she bites it, and when it’s combined with the absolute mess the show has been… I think he’s at his limit and hides everything that could be used for content or drama. After leaks in ex-lovers route he genuinely seemed like he was sick of it all.

Some people were sure Seven cheated on MC during the period of time when they were ghosting, before the official breakup.
Now that should be water under the bridge now, but Seven might still not want MC to find out (because then MC could make themselves out to be the victim to the public).
That doesn’t work on besties variant though - but that doesn’t mean that’s not it, just that there’d have to be more to it (the person the cheated with for example).
That would fit the tone of how Blake treated it.
Other than the fact it wouldn’t work with BFF mcs, Amy said that wasn’t the case

Wtf that’s insane lmao. I know that there’s jokes sometimes about the mc but doing that would just make mc a pretty pathetic main character. I doubt Amy would have Seven do that since they were devoted to mc bk in the day.

Well, if someone knows something I’m sure they’ll correct me I just don’t remember there ever being “No, Seven 100% didn’t cheat” statement, just a rough timeline of the breakup.
Putting on my conspiratorial hat for a second: what if it’s not a secret about Seven but a secret about the MC that only Seven knows about

So basically Seven only went out with other people after the breakup was official and not during the ghosting period
If you meant the secret was simply Seven cheating at some point in the relationship and not after the fight, well, Amy has never said anything about that but it seems far-fatched given how much in love they were.

At first I was sure the secret was about Lucy being sick, but there’s that comment from Blake saying it’s not a big deal and Seven saying not to tell the MC…so now I’m wondering if it’s maybe something related to the MC. I still think Lucy is sick, but I don’t think that’s the secret.
Maybe. I mean my theory has holes everywhere, but I still think Blake won’t confront the MC about it just now for plot reasons.

From the wording of one of the latest asks on tumblr, something like “Seven only has one secret and they’re paranoid about it getting out” iirc it seems it’s just about Seven. Plus they do plead with Blake not to tell MC about it
This is also why Lucy being sick makes the most sense to me, what else would have Seven pleading with Blake? Unless it’s something happening with their dad But there is other stuff pointing to Lucy being sick (Seven’s phone call, and what MC’s mom says). UNLESS Lucy being sick is not the secret but only part of what’s going on back home.

As I said my theory has holes, but maybe Lucy’s being sick is the most obvious thing the reader would think about thanks to the evidence provided in the text but the secret might be something else.
I hope not, that’s a level of drama I’m not sure I would be able to handle… and the fandom might just implode.
