Hell mate we’ve all been there take your time and don’t worry about us. We’re more than happy to know that we’ll be able to be a ghost fighting triad vigilante bartender at some point in the future. Thanks for all the kind words. I am still moving forward but at a much slower pace. I have been getting up early to 300 to 500 words of writing before going to work.

Just a short update to let people know I’m back on track but progressing a bit more slowly. Basically I’ve been going to bed early and rising up early before work to get a bit of writing and coding done before my full time job. So progress is happening just a bit slower as I don’t have the oceans of time to work on this that I did 5 weeks ago.

Hey that’s great news mate. Even if the project takes longer we’re all thrilled to see that you haven’t given up on it. However don’t push yourself to hard none of us want you to burn out over working two jobs and trying to write at the same time. Even if we have to wait a little longer we would all be grateful if you we’re healthy enough to hear how much we enjoyed the game. Keep up the great work mate and know we will be thrilled to see what you make next.

Don’t worry I’m doing very well. I’m going to bed an hour earlier than I normally do. And I’ve curtailed my smartphone in bed usage which is a healthy way to give me more sleep and more time the following morning. I’m able to write 500 words a day this way without losing any sleep or adding any stress to my life.

Hey @Jose_Garcia was just watching some Australia crime dramas (FYI for anyone interested checkout Mystery Road and Goldstone) and was wondering if you had anymore plans for the Australia segment of the game to be potentially larger as I could see this being an entire chapter of its own. The game is in desperate need of an edit. I’ve switched genders mid sentence and choices are straight up ignored. An example would be when you first get the primer for the Shadow/Ghost Lands, it is assumed that I’ve visited and interacted with the Dragon Mother. It was all very jarring. I am interested in the narrative and would like to see if my bloodthirsty Xia can survive the pursuit of vengeance, but in its current state the story is nigh impossible to follow. I’d like to revisit your work once the issues are worked out sometime in the future. Looking forward to your next upload!

It is, and I think it is going to be overhauled sometime, just have some patience. It’s a complex game, less linear than most and it is indeed a bit of a mess right now, particularly the gender choice of the mc.

Indeed, the entire structure has morphed during its development and it is the vestiges of the original structure clashing with the new material that will needs to be addressed sooner or later.
@Jose_Garcia is an experienced developer, so I have more faith in his ability to keep to a development plan than if he were developing a game for the first time.

That’s an interesting thought but I already have bitten off more than I can comfortably chew so if that happens it will be much later or in another project.

Wow I didn’t think that it was possible to talk to the mother of dragons. Sorry you must have jumped into something that I didn’t think was “public” yet. I have been working 60-70 hours a week towards the end of 2018 so haven’t done much work on Hong Kong Blood Opera but a major overhaul is in the works.

Just a wee update to let you know that there will be an update in May. I have zero free time at the moment as I am working two jobs but that changes in May when I move to Spain in May and go part time. I am really looking forward to sinking my teeth back into this project.
