I think many people are comparing this to Carrie because of the whole getting embarrassed at prom and no one stopping it kind of thing.

Well anything that would make it easier to expose the mc would be a weakness. Maybe give them a middle name they can use instead then? That way it is a little bit less necessary to change the first name.
I would also, again, advocate for letting the mc have a car and a valid driverās license, makes getting around and seducing people much easier then having to do so with a pedal driven bike or the school bus. Plus a nice car really would be one of the benefits of the mc being a filty rich kid now.

So itās definitely something that may have to handled carefully if you choose to include it.
And I agree with @idonotlikeusernames and having a name change feature though I get the feeling it may be for different reasons. 
Put this somewhere before any story text:
*sm_init mygame | 3
Change mygame to anything (should be unique so it doesnāt overwrite other saves from other games)
And then check the āUse CJWās smPluginMenuAddon?ā checkbox in Edit Details in Dashingdon.
You should *comment it out when testing though because it will come up as an error.

Like a lot of people I was a bit skeptical about MC hanging onto their hate for that long and being obsessed with revenge for 6-7 years, but I wanted to withhold judgement until I read the demo, and Iām glad I did.
MC did not make many friends and by that age had only made 2, so it makes a lot of sense that their betrayal would impact them that much more-- especially if MC assumed Dylan was becoming friends with the bullies, because then the bullies ābefriendingā MC seemed more believable, especially since MC had no reason to not trust their best friends.
As for holding onto the grudgeā
MC was ripped away from that school before they had the chance to process what happened. There was no chance for apologies or explanations, so they were left with just the memories of what happened and theit own visceral reactions to it. Then with moving frequently and having 9 fathers and, if I read into it right, a fairly distant relationship with their mother (the only person in their life who has a stable presence) means MC never had much of a chance to foster any friendships or make any real social connections to anyone since then, so those 2 friends are still the only friendship theyāve really known-- and it ended in disaster and betrayal. So in that case, yeah. I think it does make a lot of sense that MC held onto that grudge for so long. They never had a proper chance to heal.
I really enjoyed the demo, and Iām excited to see where you take it

It was said mc and mom are close, or used to be when living with first dad, Iād like for my mc to remain close to his mom, since in a way sheās all heās gotā¦
Sheās certainly the only one who has never betrayed him.
That said, your read is as good as mine as there was little text, but mom does seem like sheās the only one who gives a damn about the mc, at least from the mcās own point of view as things are currently written.
Also came up with another reason, besides finances and transportation, why senior year and mc being 18 would be better for revenge, as at that age the mc could, thanks to their elite education/private tutors have already graduated highschool. This way they already know all their subjects, donāt have to worry that much about āfailingā or even getting expelled and can dedicate more time that they wonāt need for studying to revenge. If the mcās already done with highschool or the equivalent the ārevenge yearā can also be sold to mom as a āgapā year to really keep the people who might suspect our revenge scheme to a minimum.

Regarding the whole name issue, didnāt it say that our dad was the principal? Couldnāt we just tell him āoh by the way I go by this name nowā and tell him to change the name on the rosters? The only real time I seee not getting an official name change is when they call attendance or call your name over the loudspeaker
Iām going to go ahead and skip the whole response to the incoherent arguments presented in an earlier reply so as to keep the discussion on trackā¦
That said, the demo thus far is very interesting. Personally I would try and flush out the transition years between the ages of 11 and 15 for the MC. Even if itās not essential to the main plot itās nice to have more background on your character and their mindset. I might even suggest more detailing of the ācall to actionā of the protagonist. In this case, the humiliation at age 11. That being said every additional detail you could add like the main character telling their parents about their crush, or getting a gift for them, etc. anything that makes the audience feel empathy for the MC and makes the betrayal that much deeper.
One more point I wanted to bring up, I know you responded to someone else in the thread about there not being killing in the story. And I agree if the basis of the story is a 15-year-old wanting revenge for their 11-year-old humiliation, which was cruel but obviously not worthy of death. But since you are at least in part inspired by the Count of Monte Christo, I would mention that part of the reason the storyline is so dramatic is because of its twists and turns and how every scene every number of years raises the stakes and increases the intrigue.

@fennec That is a really good summary of MCās emotions from my point of view. You were wrong just on the mother thing. Iām still thinking about either making her a cunning woman, as @idonotlikeusernames said, that has actually known all along about what happened and that will help from the sidelines or an oblivious happy go lucky type of character. Either way I think Iāll talk a bit more about her in the 1st chapter. Maybe make a little story for her, like I did for Dylan and Olivia.
Iāll make this my life motto.

ā¦I usually have a standard MC name for all games, but I probably will name one of my MCs Carrie when I do a hardcore revenge play through. I probably wonāt romanc anyone on that run eitherā¦Everyone is a target.
