I propose that we can have the option to save Raas if we get along well enough with the Lanista (greater than 80%) saying that you will win the fight that Raas against his terrible opponent, they both win, you save Raas and the Lanista win one more fight to win the game. Plus this helps you get along better with Raas. In addition to that we have the possibility that the entire 5-member team reaches the final or we can also help Raas in his training if we do not convince the Lanista to send us into battle. But doing this has a cost in the protagonistās health for having two fights in such a short time.
@Frankex_2272 Saving Raas would mean we would never encounter the rebel and would take away from the storyās sense of loss.
But it could change with the loss of the metal-skinned giant who loves Raas and dies in the final round. Or thereās a health cost to fighting that terrible opponent, plus thereās the accomplishment of training a colleague to avoid getting killed in the test game.
Larisse was saved because she was/is more popular than Raas. Personally Iām down for saving him but then we could theoretically save them both VERY easily and the fight against BladeMaster, later on, is to include his hype of killing every opponent he has fought; meaning rip Raas then we avenge him later.
Well, it could be done that if the people who want to save Raas, then Larisse is the one who sacrifices herself in the final tournament.
Also, if there is already a way to save Raas, then I havenāt found it, as if the achievement I mentioned; to train a colleague to save his life, was not directed at Raas.
I believe that achievement is for Larisse. Someone a few months prior also asked to save Raas but the response was met with a similar answer. Itās simply just best he dies here to provoke the sense of loss.
Larisse previously was going to die no matter what but a few testers were kinda salty that their favourite RO died (she was also the most liked RO besides SA of course) Then the author bent his hand and we got the chance to save Larisse.
Too bad, well, at least he proposed to change the character who died if people saved Raas, in this case say who you would save in the game: Raas or Larisse
Ek het ook so gedink
Ek het slaaplose nagte. Kannie wag tot 3 September nie.
@Denzil_Melgior_Nagel @Frankex_2272 sorry, unfortunately Raasā death is unavoidable. During the writing of the game there were many complains about the death of Larisse, so I bent and created a way to save her -which adds more depth to the game, so I am very happy with that-. However, by now so many other things revolve around the death of Raas that I am extremely reticent to change it, as I would have to make many changes to many scenes⦠essentially, it has become structurally difficult to change that⦠I guess Raas was a victim of lack of popularity among the beta testers of the game! Basically, @Judarkus explained very well some of the background behind these decissions that were made (also, I felt as a writer that there had to be a personal element to facing the Blademaster⦠for many readers that will be avenging a friend?
@Denzil_Melgior_Nagel I didnāt know that Raas meant making noise in Afrikaans, strange coincidence! (some other names in my games are derived from various languages, but in this case it really was just a coincidence)
@Black_Son unfortunately Shiroi Yuki doesnāt appear on this bookā¦
Well, I guess I wasnāt there in time to test the beta version of the game and give ideas. Okay, at least I know that like in your previous work, the story will be good and we will have to accept this fact that we fell in love with Raas. I tell you that I am in favor of killing a team character (it is what you as a writer want), I proposed that people who love Raas save him and instead Larisse die at the end of the tournament in an attempt to protect Raas . Follow your essence that we lost someone important and still make the option to avenge the death of a partner. I will accept the decision since now there is not much time left. Greetings from Mexico (From the city where one of Catalinaās brothers lives)
For those on the private beta testing threads, a new update has just been uploaded. This includes corrections for all reported bugs up to today (if I have missed any reports please let me know!
). This last version also includes almost all the art that will go into the game⦠so it is āalmostā the final version of the game (the final one will have about half a dozen more artwork, which will hopefully be finished in the course of this last week).
I just made some small corrections and adjustments today. Tomorrow Iāll be going through the game one last time myself, and submit the final version for CoG!

Hopefully tomorrow is the day the game gets released!!
of course you can never know for certain as Iām sure there are many factors involved, anyway Iām hoping all goes well and this is finally out!
I have now deleted the game from dashingdon, once again, thanks to all the playtesters who contributed at all stages of the game. I am really grateful for all your help, the game is what it is largely due to your contributions and feedback!
@adrao congrats man
Were you also promoted? You have a new title alongside your username.
You mean āHosted Gas Authorā? Wasnāt that already before earlier?
Yeah, it was. @Judarkus mustāve noticed it now.
