Hero or Villain: Armageddon (demo version, new character sketches in post #62)

For the time being I’ll only be adding what backers of the Kickstarter suggest (otherwise it dilutes the value of such a promotion…). Sorry…

you got nothing to be sorry about i understand, but will you still be enabling the biology power?

Nevermind my previous post just went back to the first game and saw it was added

When do you think we’ll be able to import our saved characters from HoV: Battle Royale? Also , what’s the progress on the card game?

Sorry for “dissappearing” a bit. The card game has been progressing well, and we have been preparing everything for printing (which always seems to take longer than you think). We’ve been checking the rulebook again, and getting some cards redrawn… Today we are supposed to be having a “final” check to see what is left to be done… So that has been advancing well.

Armageddon hasn’t advanced so well. I’ve continued working on the Mag’mecha fight, which is one of the more ambitious and complex ones in terms of how I want it to look. I also got tons of new ideas for going back and improving earlier fights…

Sadly, importing a character won’t happen until the game is released (this is CoG policy). If you let me know other options you want to add to build your character clear to what they were I can add them…

It seems kind of weird that no one is reacting about the events that taken place before this book especially the route where helped the rebels fight the elders in the last book. It’s like our past actions don’t matter. Please fix this

As a idea for character dialogue choices in HoV: Armageddon towards The Lanista, I think they should be more unruly, harsh, and stubborn than in the previous game. To me, technically, we no longer work for The Lanista as a fighter since the battle of champions is over, The Elders fled and are now in hiding. That gives The Lanista no more power over The MC. So, I think the power dynamic should now be on a more even playing field then before!

So true. Getting revenge against them should be a thing since they kidnapped the mc and that stunt they pulled off is unforgivable since it’s basically slavery for every human.

@Christopher_Bull @Cooldude89979 Great suggestions, I just coded those into the game today (new “harsher” replies for the Lanista, and some characters reacting to whether you led the rebellion etc, with extra possible replies). I didn’t upload a new version yet, so it may take a while for you to see them (hopefully I will be uploading a new version later this week or next…)

Question. In the HoV series, the endurance stat definition says, " (91%) Your endurance is so great that you could withstand sustained cannon fire or large plasma impacts." I’m wondering if you could expand upon that for me. I just want to get a general scope of the limits that the stat definition falls flat in for me. Say, can you take a bomb to the face without a scratch if your endurance is 91%+ , maybe something greater, less than, or is that the limit?

How did I not notice the demo release!?!?! Omg I am loving it so far! Seriously hoping a certain evil mastermind is still alive and the clone theory holds true.

Well, not without a scratch. But, if you have an endurance of 90, that would give you 360 HP, meaning that you can take large punishment even if you are getting hurt. The game has an armour stat, which defines by how much damage is reduced, and regeneration stats.

So… let say somebody like Wolverine would have an Endurance of 30 or 40, meaning they could take large punishment. They get damaged, but then regenerate. Somebody like Thor or the Hulk would have much large Endurance (90+) meaning they could take large amounts of damage (plus the fact they have innate armor). Does that make sense? The system is actually based on the old Marvel Superheroes RPG… which had such mechanics for fights…

Thanks

Big fan adrao, I wanted you to know that I have always liked you HoV series. The beginning of both of these games is getting a little ridiculous tho. I figured by this point considering you can be strong enough to one-shot every enemy without scripted scenes you should be able to deny everyones wishes like in the first game. You should be able to be like “Actually you’re the one who works for me now” if not that then at least just say “No, I am too strong for you to hold me down.” steal a ship and just leave. I’m mostly excited to finish the epic trilogy of my MC and I really hope you don’t put in the same mandatory epilogue like in the first two games. The thing I want most out of this game is real choice like the first game.

Agreed

I agree with this. I feel like the MC should be more in control of their predicament if they have the stats necessary to negate certain things/situations!

can MC have the option to take over earth in multiple ways like MC have 4 different perspective of his actions on book 1 hero, vigilant, grays villain and finialy villain . If MC have beaten his or her arch enemy in magnolia then he can be trusted by the CIA who are on high alert and have expended power because of the super power individuals suddenly appeared on earth so thay are likely investigation the stones and it’s mension they reverse engineer the armor to better deal with them and likely know Lisa because she captured her from there secret facilities so alien are confirmed and why they have more power well if a authoration country started using them a soldier (more like special forces) then it’s a threat to the country and there is a strong chance terrorists have super powers individual among them. FBI special team if you go that route is likely to maintain some autonomy as CIA wants them under there control to better protect the country so it’s likely a last resort response to maintain some level of control.
MC and (I didn’t remember her name) likely very pissed that earth have become there plaything (metroid) to destabilize entire human society to get a few ( unwilling slave) to play a sport and earth as a prize and how horrible there faith will be if MC loss is down right open hostility towards human race. So MC can give the world government how it’s out there ( galaxy) and united the world in giving him power to protect the humanity and if MC have high intelligence and high alien tech knowledge the as MC (kind of industise) the nation who support him more will follow or easily conqueror MC can have the option to consider expending human control to other planets or system (6level tech is 10speed of light) in what to do with other less tech advance species ( will the elder and rebel are fighting each other) and potential emerge as a third power in the galaxy and we can even allie your self with our former human friend or foe in alliance to help humanity and MC policies change the human species it outlook and power dimensions I mean if humanity can achieve faster than light travels it would have so MC can be in a great positive to exploit it (if int high enough) CIA can barely understand armor thay captured even there best sciencetis team can only replicat on a very small level so MC can be like doctor machine thing from doom as there only hope to survive (without doom guy) in a slave base and genocide galactic so MC can slowly gain all the human government power and japenese hero ( I forgot her name) can become a formidable ally as she is a idealistic see MC as a earth protecter and moon hero as well and many super power individual how for one reason or another will side with MC

Reading your comment almost gave me a stroke. You need to loosen it up a bit!

@Sourav_Sangwan i don’t think all of that would work

Is there any reason why the inventor route for HoV has really no good endurance options for your armor or suit other than, your suit/armor protects you from acid, fire, etc…? Everytime I play the route, I can barely get past the first fight because my suit of armor has no natural endurance. I take heavy damage everytime!
