Okay, I’ve read everything, made my vote, and now here are the (short, more reader friendly versions of the) reviews: (I made one of every game, but not everyone I contacted gave the green light to make it public, so if I’m being overly paranoid about not having received a clear okay let me know ) I don’t know how to reach most authors who made a story in the CYS format, so I’ll put those here as well.
Overall impression of Fifty, by @Rustem_Khafizov:
It’s okay? Nothing too memorable, though. I’m not even going to try to get to the end here. There’s no satisfaction in reading further than I already have. Spelling and grammar are decent, no jarring hangups there. There are some things to improve when it comes to the writing in general, but those aren’t anything special. The biggest issues with this game at this point are the filmsy characters, unrealistic setting and “challenges”, and the “50% chance of survival, with no indication which option is the right one” type of gameplay. The only challenge this game offers is the memorization of the right path to get to the end of it. That’s not compelling gameplay.
There’s nothing wrong with the concept. I’m sure you can make a good gauntlet-type survival game in ChoiceScript. This just isn’t the way to do it. It doesn’t drag me in and spit me out at the end like a good story/game tends to do.

Very well written. Especially the dialogue is impressive. It starts off pretty slow, but that gives the reader the chance to establish what kind of relationship the MC and their ex have before being thrown into the thick of it. The only downside of this game is that there’s still too little of it. It cuts off right after the first step in the direction of future spooky events is taken.

The story is very surreal. Definitely enjoyable, but it doesn’t make logical sense. Good for one readthrough, at least.
Overall impression of Better than Alone by @Will
This is one of those games that isn’t really aimed at amusement, but will get you thinking. I enjoyed it quite a lot, in some strange way. Pretty relaxing too with all the repetition. Definitely worth a read.
Overall impression of Departure by @Wannabe_Human:
I have no clue whatsoever what was going on here. The writing is good and dragged me right into the pit, but I definitely can’t make sense of it. Something with alcohol/substance abuse and a main character who can’t really tell what’s reality and what’s not anymore.
Overall impression of Stanley and a Statue by @antscoff
The game is fun to play through, if a little short. Or at least shorter than what I’m used to from CS games. I didn’t read the ghoul path, it started out by being mean and unreasonable from the getgo, but the knight’s path was nice. (Even if the personality shift is through possession by statue, it’s still a little off-putting, especially since it’s not immediately clear what’s happening. I would’ve known that’s what’s going on if I hadn’t played the knight path first.)
Overall impression of Night of the Feast by @whitebear:
I’ve only played the branch of the story that leads out of Hallowville, so I can’t really give a full review. The premises is pretty interesting, but there’s a lot of telling rather than showing, for example with the characters. They’re described as having certain personalities, but you don’t ever get to see them interact with anyone else. I am really curious about Gabriel, the MC’s brother, and Atlas, the MC’s friend in specific since they were the NPCs I interacted the most with, but as it is I don’t feel like I know anything about them. I mean, the game almost seemed to imply that Gabriel was dead/a ghost, or something, but it’s unclear if that was just me misinterpreting the text, or that it’s actually something that’s going on. Still an enjoyable game, but it needs more work to really make it shine.
Overall impression of Stranded by @poison_mara
The grammar of this game definitely needs a lot of polish, but the atmosphere and vibrant language is amazing. The plot is great too. I haven’t managed to wrap my head around all the different things going on yet, but it’s pretty clear that the strange object summoned some strange kind of eldrich being from the void which put you into some kind of dream state between life and death. Not sure if you actually managed to get out of that or that the fates just kicked you back down to the world of the living because you didn’t belong in the world of the dead, but whatever. I had a lot of fun.
Overall impression of Shelter for the Night by Bill Ingersoll
This is definitely the best CYS story in the bunch. It’s quite wordy, I ended up only skimming a lot of pages, but the atmosphere was great and it was a nice puzzle to find the “good” ending.
Overall impression of Sterling Suburbs by Ninjapitka:
Short but funny. Might need a few trigger warnings for Gary’s path.
