If there’s anyone who has feedback for my entry, I’d really appreciate it if you send it directly to me over PM.
Summary:
You’re a child from a witch coven, going out on Halloween to trick-or-treat. Of course since it’s Halloween strange things are happening all over town, and it’s your task to call in dangerous things so the adults can deal with them.
The kind of feedback I’m looking for is, among others:
How much in-game time does it take you to see all events/visit all locations? Did you run out of time before being able to visit everything, or did you have time to spare? (And if so, how much.)
Do you like the freeroaming-ish setup of the game? Why do you feel that way about it?
Are there words in there outside of dialogue that you feel are too complicated for a primary/middle schooler? If so, what are they, and where are they?
What would you like to see added in a possible expansion of the game?
What did you like or dislike about the game in general?
Does the candy counter in the stats screen increase when the text mentions you get a piece of candy? I haven’t had the time to do any manual testing yet.
Corrections to spelling and grammar mistakes are also much appreciated.
Screenshots are very helpful for tracking down mistakes.
Genre: drama, folk (and I’ll let you decide if it’s horror)
You live in Hallowville, a reclused and happy community with thriving and friendly individuals. Every year after the harvest, the Hallows (the people of Hallowville) would gather and sacrifice one living member to thank the Gods and to keep evil at bay. This year, the Elders chose one specific member of the community: you.
I’m open to any sorts of feedback, but the ones I am more interested on is if there’s any continuity errors. Did some things happened that made no sense? Feel free to comment anything you’d like, good or bad.
I’m going to have such a good Halloween tomorrow! I’ll sit back with my spooky tunes in the background and read through all of these assuredly excellent adventures!
I’m not too good at show don’t tell, I do a lot of tellings lol, maybe that is why I rely on arts, or maybe I just love a good art in-game… just in case it is not for you just turn off the arts.
Game summary
The day before Halloween, you are visiting the United States to spend time with your sister Michelle and her twins, Leo and Lea.
On Halloween night, you take the twins trick-or-treating. Your friend Ashley is coming along, as well as your acquaintances, Karel and Lani.
Everything seemed to be fine until your little group unexpectedly walked into a parallel timeline.
In this timeline reigns “The Keeper of Midnight”, a dreadful creature that you have only heard stories about.
How did you end up there?
How dangerous is the Keeper?
How will you travel back to your timeline?
Can you keep the twins and your friends safe?
Take the road of self-discovery, and find out what else is lurking in the dark by making the right choices playing this modern-fantasy/horror adventure.
Enjoy!
Warning: This game contains depictions of body horror, violence, and death.
