This one says it requires a password to view this page, so I guess it still needs to be made public.

Edit:

Also, is it just me, or is CoGDemos really unstable today? I’ve had to restart the first game I’m reading five times this far because the site keeps disconnecting. At least it doesn’t seem to be a long game.

Edit 2:

@raywilson I think the instability is specific to Blink Binary. Sulfur from Icaro works just fine this far. How did you structure it, file-wise? Is it all in one .txt file, or are there multiple that CoGDemos might get stuck on trying to load?

i’m gonna tag @Omeg here so he sees quickly (hopefully)!

oh shoot, really? i had a buddy playing it this morning with no issues, and i was testing it last night with no problems :sob: randomtest ran it 1,000 times quickly last night, too.

there are multiple .txt files though. but there aren’t any images anywhere in the game files (except for the cover image, which is only something like 330x220 pixels)

ahh i see. thank you so much for letting me know! hopefully it is just a CogDemos thing. and yeah, if anyone else tries it (!!) please chime in if you have similar issues.

I found that in pc all goes well for me but not in android so it has to be something of the servers not the game

I don’t think it’s a problem with the coding itself. It doesn’t consistently get stuck in the same places. Sometimes it freezes at the first ‘next’ button, sometimes it only freezes at the second location. I think it’s more likely to be something in how CogDemos is trying to pull up the right file at the right time. But it would be nice if more people could try it out just to rule out that it might be something with my computer/internet connection, or something.

I removed the password requirement.

Cool. Don’t worry Cogdemos seems to be something grumpy today as well I had to change a link but Cross :crossed_fingers: fingers so far all is working

Just played through a run on Blink Binary (a lot of fun!) and it worked fine for me. It’s possible I didn’t loop around enough to get it stuck, but maybe the fixed link solved the problem?

It still doesn’t work for me, and I’ve tried to open it through Chrome, FireFox, and even Microsoft Edge, all with the same result of the website timing out. Sulfur did get stuck as well when I tried to refresh the game after completing it. I think that game might’ve all been coded in the same .txt file, and that’s why it didn’t get stuck while playing, while Blink Binary does.

(And yes, from what little I’ve seen of it, Blink Binary does seem like a lot of fun.)

Edit:

I’m trying to read and review as many of the entries as I can before the work week starts up, but this is a little bit of a roadblock in the way of that  Only got Sulfur done this far.

I had a look through Blink just now and it didn’t give me any problems (firefox, PC).
