A very, very interesting WiP that I will be following in the future! I love the idea behind the source of our power (i.e. the cost). Additionally, I love what that means for defining what a soul is and how important it is to defining someone without one since the implication of calling someone ‘soulless’ is the emotionally charged way of saying they have no empathy.
I like that we were an asshole, but can work to not be that person anymore! It’s very refreshing to read about a character’s “redemption” (I put it in quotations since I don’t know the extent of the MC’s past actions and the motives behind them yet) that is more than just “I feel sad/I evoke the audience’s sadness therefore I am redeemed” and is actually working towards changing themselves!
Caught this pronoun error. Should be “she” instead of “he” as my MC is female.

I have feeling are oc did have no choice leave his or her friends two way one they maybe more trouble like oc is in if oc stay with them or oc left them by force

Honestly, the MC reminds me very much of Sameen Shaw from Person of Interest and I love her character!
In the same manner, the MC’s actions - particularly when motivated by selflessness (read: wanting to reconnect or just do right by the ones you wronged w/o expecting them to forgive you) - speak way louder than their snappy personality.

Yessss more Assholery! I’d love to call all the archangel with common nicknames, like Micky, Gabbie, Ralph. Perhaps go so far as to call Uriel Urine like Jimmy Urine from MSI.
Also, grammar typo
