Update out. Woot! Sorry it took so long, but when I had to write the parts that weren’t sex, it was sort of like… Can we just get to the sex already?
Also, I wrote the sex part really fast, because you know I was so excited and it was just like ohmygosh I can’t believe how turned on I am and ohgod I think I need to pause and masturbate or something and-
Wait, why the hell am I telling you this? Well the point is, there might be a few grammatical or spelling errors.
Oh yeah, and as you might have guessed, this part contains sex! A wet dream, sure, but sex! SEX!
But, just so you know, this is what the protagonist imagines the boys to be like. So there might be some differences when she actually hooks up with them. And that is something I plan on capitalizing on fully.
We go between f-ed up situations I can do nothing about and would never want to be in, with lines that are pretty awesome -
“Only a**holes are named Chad.”
“You even aspired to be an erotica writer at some point. But, after realizing that writing of any kind pays worse than a ****ING MINIMUM WAGE JOB, you decided to just become a cashier. Besides, everyone knows erotica writers are lonely virgins.” (I love fourth wall self-mockery, love it.)
I do like to read erotica, and like the idea of an interactive version, but the scene I tried wasn’t fun or sexy to me. I chose the love interest that seemed the most like my type (Blake?) then got a dream where he’s a jerk and not even charming about it in a sadist/bad-boy way. (He also basically rapes you, which didn’t bother me because it’s not the “actual” character.) There can be a funny side to the sex scenes, but if they’re written as “well, that was awkward and not fun” (the tone I got from the narrator) it’s not the most enjoyable.
Another note: COG players often hate to be told what they think. So in something like what you thought about a specific dream/sex scene, more options would help. I think of the “main character” as being a narrator, not myself. I am not sure how you would improve that for players like me.
@Sashira, I was originally going to make these first sex scenes interactive, but then I realized that with four sex scenes and at least three variants for each, that would be a total of 12 sex scenes. Now, I like writing sex scenes, but at that point I was kind of foaming at the mouth and thinking, “ASDWFDSFSAFD THIS IS GONNA TAKE FOREVER.”
Also, these sex scenes were supposed to be funny in their own way. I was laughing while writing them, at least. I suppose what I was trying to aim for was a feeling that these scenes were just taking themselves too seriously. If you played all the scenes you might have gotten what I mean.
With such lines as, “Of course, my princess,” and “You, me, sex, now!” I thought I had gotten that feeling down pretty good.
Haha! “As you wish.” That, and the whole “princess” thing, reminded me of The Princess Bride. I’ll never be able to watch that movie again without giggling at that line, thanks to you.
