I swear these updates cause the most conflicting feelings. Like Iâm so excited and bouncing in my seat but then I reread everything and oh damn there come ye ole emotions again, but also I love the way you can repeatedly have such a powerful emotional effect with your writing- even rereading things Iâve already read! Itâs absolutely amazing.

Also may I just say that youâve made my week exponentially better with just the kiss Ortega on the forehead option? That was beautiful, and painful, it made me feel extremely bad because MCâs the reason heâs hurt and yet also so, so happyâŚ

Anyone else break down laughing at the coffee joke or am I just a bad person for that? Although I am cheating on Ortega with Mortum I do like the idea that the MC feels like a different person in the puppet so if youâre in a different body and feel like a different person mentally is it still cheating?

When you chat with Ortega and he invites you to the museum gala the MC should know for sure he is going later on in puppet body:
In the quiet little moment when you both catch your breaths, you ponder your options. You are pretty sure that Ortega is going to the benefit gala at the museum, since he is a former Marshal. And if not, he will be able to get a ticket very easily if you just prod him a little. Besides, you do know that he really wants to take you out to dinner, heâs alluded to it before.
My puppet is a guy and named Zac yet I get this paragraph:
It takes you longer than youâd liked to locate Yasmin. Itâs always hard to connect to her from this kind of distance, closeness makes things so much easier. Itâs only familiarity that makes it possible at all, and even then⌠you feel the strain.

And Iâm not sure what I like better Ortega already being so conflicted between MC and Puppet that they donât even want to take MC with them to visit their âdateâ or MC blindsiding Ortega with a kiss (oh MC you did so well pretending you didnât feel that wayâŚuntil you kissed them thatâs it. I bet you are pissed at yourself.)
But am I the only one worried about our puppet being not so brain dead as we thought? Really until now taking them as last escape plan seemed like a good idea, butâŚI would feel really bad when we would have to do that after they waked up on their own? Seriously, Dylan only did good to my MC it wouldnât be fair to use his body further should he wake up. Yes, my MCâs logic is that twisted.
Or will they wake up and we get the choice to telepathically beat them back into coma land? (Really wouldnât sit well with meâŚreally) And what do we do if we have to deal with them waking up and not being able to let them âsleepâ again? Killing them? Keeping them tied up in our basement? Giving them some money, fake papers and a brainwash to go away and never come back in town? And what if brainwash doesnât work, maybe they got immune to that kind of mind control?
âŚshit, what if we end up with our puppet stalking us, because they remember us partly from using their body? âŚwill the relationship butterfly get even weirder (Iâm sure some people would ask for it if it happens, I know how fandoms and shipping work)? Well, that sounds like some real mind screw.

The puppet is also our only link to the criminal underworld. Dr. Mortum and other minions know their face, and they know too much about our capabilities. Keeping the puppet under control at increasingly high moral costs should be interesting though.

Iâm reading all these spoilers and what?? How do you get the option to smooch Ortega with the MC?? 
I got the kiss by pushing for the romance, holding their hand as they woke up, going with them in the elevator, and then kissing them

Well, for starters, when recalling our past in which we worked together, I chose that we often flirted, so thereâs the foundation laid. Then, throughout our interactions up to this point, I tried to be as honest and kind as I could with him.
When interacting with him through my puppet, I discouraged his attempts at flirting, keeping that relationship as platonic as possible. (I didnât like the idea of manipulating him more than I already had by letting him fall in love with a mask, only to be heartbroken if he ever found out.) The relationship stat between Ortega and my puppet is at about 54% at this point.
When you get to your hideout and decide what to do next, I chose to go to the hospital as myself to check up on Ortega. I knew there were definite risks, but he was my first priority. When I get to his room and see the state I put him in (even though I stopped before I could cause even worse damage), I chose âI canât believe I did this to him.â I held his hand, just before he woke up. Before you can choose to kiss him, I chose a dialogue option in response to his eagerness to get back out there and catch the bastard who put him in the hospital in the first place, while I genuinely insisted he needed to rest and let the other heroes handle it. I said something like âBecause I care about you, idiot.â Then I kind of start word-vomiting about how the spark we had never really faded and Ortega realizing this, seemingly happy about it. Then, you can choose to hug him, kiss him on the forehead, straight up kiss him, or leave before you do or say anything else. It helps that my MCâs relationship stat with Ortega was at 91% when I walked into his hospital room.[/spoiler]
