The two big things that affect which path you end up on at the end is which body meets HG (and thus which one gets their legs broken in a car crash) and who body Step gets stuck in which depends on your hidden PCV (puppet comfort value) mix a bit with your puppet individuality (high increases PCV for the check and low the opposite). There are different endings in each path (like in path 1 if you are outed as the villain and if any of the Rangers break you out or if you are not outed who do you hide out with) but the thing that will change most of book 3 is which body you end up in.

Also it’s very easy to get onto (nearly) all paths from the last checkpoint. The “how you feel about your puppet when you’re in Joe’s” and “your feelings about going in whichever body at Hollow Ground’s” choices are enough to push you into whatever body you’d like. Which I greatly appreciate as someone who plays the same way every time. Maximum bang for minimal change

Made this with the help of AI tools, but my Sidestep always goes for extra armor and telepathy/nanite upgrades… mystery vibe armor with a cape. Kinda mentally see his mech suit looking something pretty close to this.

Fallen Hero is one of the IFs I love the most. Just wows me every time I play. Anyway, can’t wait to play the Crashed as Sidestep, stuck in Sidestep route with Mortum’s romance. I love her (and Argent)

Not Fallen Hero related, strictly speaking, but.
I just recently completed collecting the last one for the set.
Getting these proped up for the pic was a little tricky, but I achieved the look I wanted, at least. 
To say something in the way of feedback; I float the idea that “Mister Tequila” should be a potential easter egg appearance for certain types of Sidesteps. I’m only half joking.

Got a bug to report. On Chen’s route, after the Dove break-in scene, I got Ortega’s scenes (i.e. their return home and ensuing dialogue) instead of Chen’s. I think it might be tied to the choice “I’ll keep up the mask. Be a civilian and try to talk her down”
I’ve also noticed that there isn’t an option to set Argent’s relationship with Step to neutral

Had a great time playing the updated demo. But while building my mc i started wondering, its possible to be both an anarchist and a “prepare them”? Also the “leasend_act” variable is something you can activate in previous games or does start here?

sorry that was a mistake on my end. Got the titles mixed up. Hero hunter (and so prepare them) and anarchist (as well as thief and mob moss) were all introduced in book 2.
