It is ultimately your project and your decision. While I would prefer a short story (~5000 words) on top of character creation/setup, that is going to be a lot of writing considering how many unique end states there were for Retribution (not counting variants of the same ending with different ROs). Do you plan to consolidate some of them?
That no one rescued at all? Or the endings in which our favorite Ranger breaks us out?

The first demo will cover one set of endings (Guilty Sidestep with broken legs that Mortum didn’t rescue). That was one of the more complicated openings, and it’s done until those fuse. Just not sure how long I want to write on after before I post the demo. Hence the poll.

Less burning your bridges (Though that can be the case just not necessarily to get the ending) more that no one trust you enough to risk everything to break you out themselves. Malin said you can still get them to switch latter even if you get this ending

You could even have your Step lose an eye for maximum angst.
There are two variants of the ending where Mortum doesn’t grab Step, I think: the one in which our favorite Ranger frees us (I know Ortega and Herald can free you, and I’m pretty sure Argent can as well since her romance requires her to know you’re the villain. But will Steel?), and the one that has Step rotting in the Rangers’ HQ all alone with broken legs and possibly other injuries.
And the other requirements include “not killing people” (especially “not killing Blaze”) and “tending more anti-villain than villain”? Like for the other Rangers (but will Argent rescue a more villainous guilty Step)?

Yep Steel can but choosing his before HG meeting hangout is one of the requirements.
Not killing Blaze yes but Steel is the most pragmatic about killing out of all the Rangers unless you go crazy about it (Getting the massacre flag) or being a thief who kills (In which case he goes “what the hell are you doing”)

Probably the only reason I haven’t seen it is because I like being friendly with Mortum, and either don’t tell her the truth or tell the whole truth, so they always end up saving me.

I guess healing broken legs will take quite a long time. Will there be some time skip and B3 will start a few months after the events from B2. What do you think, guys?

I’m not and I really can’t wait to find out. This ending is exciting and terrifying at the same time.
There will be timeskips eventually, just like there was in Retribution! But you’ll have to suffer a bit first… just a little bit.
