she will very soft toward you .Argent very like you if you don’t hurt her first in Bridge fight.Try not to use telepath on her when you fight with her but use tactic or psychical fighting insteal .she will respect and admire you and try to flirt with her every change .

What Zaya said, Argent is a cute softie in her romance route, but I guess if you mean the friendly respect nemesis type she will still admire your fighting abilities, specially if you actually managed to sneak a win around there.
If you mean the other type of nemesis though, no, she will really hate you.

Yeah, there are two versions of Argent’s nemesis route: the one where you’re her friendly (sort of? She enjoys fighting you and crushes on your helmeted villainsona. You don’t have to return the sentiment) enemy who can keep up with her while playing fair, or the one where she hates you because you fight her like the unfair cheating villain you are. The latter can get into a whole eyeful of trouble with her in certain playthroughs.
That said, is it possible for Sidestep to start a romance with her while she wants to claw out the villainsona’s eyes? Obviously that requires her to not know that they are the same person when she romances Sidestep, which is apparently possible.
You, my friend, are missing out. Danny is best RO.
Never mind. Apparently, what is possible is her knowing you’re the villain, but not knowing you possessed her, when you romance her. Your reaction to her confronting you that she believes you possessed her is what determines the fate of Step’s face IIRC.

Wait, you can?! I thought her romance route was linked with having her know you are the villain she’s been fighting so much and that has her respect? What?
I’ve been playing and code reading this game since it came out how did I not know this?

Too soft for my tastes, in terms of actual RO I prefer to go for the big boy, the Marshall, Wei Chen. Because unlike Ortega, Chen is just so soft and cautious when he romances you, he doesn’t want to assume things and doesn’t want to push you into the relationship, he understands your actions as long as you’re not an insane mass murderer, and even despite knowing that he can ask you to enter his mind. Sorry, Danny might be an artsy puppy, but I like the old one.

Don’t get me wrong, I like all of them. But if I had to pick one or none, I would pick Herald. Although fortunately the Ortega-Herald poly is a thing, and my preferred outcome for my primary Step (although there are a few solo Herald playthroughs with him I’ll carry forward).

Would love Chen-Ortega-Herald poly just for the irony of three men who have a complicated relationship with you being in love with you. But for now Ortega-Herald ftw. The tension when you date the two is amazing.
Also I use speed + psychic boost and go for the no-kill and no-known telepathy to get the “but are they really the villain?” flavor

I got to like him fairly quickly, as well as other ROs. I’m so weak for the Rangers, they’re too precious. 
And the good doctor, of course!
My mob boss isn’t close to him, Chen annoys him; Chen is my hero hunter’s rival, as I said, so a lot of disdain here; my anarchist doesn’t feel strong like or dislike towards Chen, but after some conversations they had, he hopes that he can turn him to support his anti-government side. My tech thief is romancing Chen, and he’s the least villainous villain of all my Steps, Chen is lucky in this regard. Unlike Ortega, who got the most evil one. 
Damn, here we go again, another undiscovered bit. 
My Step was in his mind, but Chen didn’t know he’s the villain, I think (at least he didn’t confess about knowing). Now I need to find out how to trigger this scene, I want Chen to know. It would make my regretful Step’s life so much easier, it hurts him to deceive his friends…

This is something I dread, tbh. It’s probably the first time ever when I don’t know what to make canon for my characters, usually I know right away what version of events I prefer, but not in this game… Fallen Hero will be the death of my anxious perfectionist roleplayer self!

It’s not that it’s a consensus, more like it feels fitting for puppet masters to also be pragmatics, since manipulation is something that comes naturally to them. But it can be just as, if not more interesting to create a character with an unexpected combination of traits. Like in my case, I have a Step with anger issues and revenge scar who isn’t at all a “bad guy”, but my Step who wants to reveal the truth and wants justice instead of revenge, which seems to be more of a “good guy” thing, is actually far from good.
I love that Argent is secretly a softie and lives in a Barbie Dreamhouse, it’s adorable! 
It was a joy to discover this unexpected side of her when I romanced her.
Sign me up as one of Danny’s fans too, I love him! I actually romanced him with my pragmatic puppet master anarchist, and I love how different they are, and how shocked my Step is that he’s attracted to Danny. @maximo_caseres, how about “opposites attract” route for Herald? But if you’re not into him at all, that’s fine too, more Danny for us!

You need to have the highest relationship with him, crush as the puppet and go back to your body. You also need a high subterfuge to be able to dethread him (this also raises your sub stat).
Getting the shelf space achievement is a good indicator that your relationship with Chen is progressing well and then I normally spend time with him both in ch.2 (when given the option to spend time with ortega, chen or mortum) and ch.4 (when you go to the ranger hq). In ch.4 Chen opens up about some stuff related to hb.
In ch.4 depending on how you react to certain things your Chen’s relationship stat can lower by quite a bit and then in ch.5 you won’t be able to do the dethreading, so beware. I really can’t remember how high it has to be, maybe >78 or something like that.
Her romance is very sweet. Argent is a very interesting character and I love fighting and beating her at hand on hand combat, I feel empowered. Even if I’m not doing her route I love when she chokes Step and we can reply “did you enjoy it as well” or something like that.
I also like when she maims Step and takes their eye, can’t wait for payback time 
or if you romancing both her and Ortega the face Ortega makes when Argent kisses you, that whole scene is hilarious.
Danny is so precious, Danny is so pure. His poly with Ortega is my favourite and I can’t wait to be with my two himbos (affectionate).

It’s just >70 and not having him know you’re an asshole villain, softie villain is okay though.
Then to properly dethread Chen there are a couple routes you can take, the easiest is being a puppet master and looking for the strings, the second easiest is having very low arrogance and knowing where you would have placed such a thing and the third is to have >78 Chen relationship and ask him for help.
After that it’s just a matter of having over 80 I think on either Will or Subterfuge, or maybe puppetmaster auto succeeds here as well? See this is why we like puppetmaster so much, it’s really useful.

I got this whole scene when I romanced him (and I successfully dethreaded him too), but I didn’t get the moment where he tells Sidestep that he knows they’re the villain. I want this to happen. I assume I have to raise his suspicion more, or something like that. 
I love this too! Although one of the saddest things that happened during my Argent-mancer playthrough was when she couldn’t take my cape. I wanted it to happen so bad, but it’s not possible if Sidestep is a fighter and wins in a fair fight against her in the sewers. But I also really wanted to impress her with my battle prowess (to win her heart 
), so I had to sacrifice the cape shenanigans.
OMG, yes, that’s so hot when Sidestep smiles while she chokes them!
Aye, that was fun too! There are a lot of memorable Argent moments.
I don’t do poly routes, but even in solo Argent route Ortega was so confused when they saw Argent and Step flirting with each other, it was very amusing.
Danny is lovely! In my very first playthrough it was so hard to resist picking “oh no, he’s hot” option, because this Sidestep was deeply in love with Ortega, and he wouldn’t be interested in anyone else. But I, the player, suffered so much! And then I ended up romancing him only on my fourth run (because second and third Steps worked better with other ROs), so I had to resist him even longer. But now that I finally played his route, my heart is at peace. 
Two himbos at once?! Poor Sidestep already have enough on their plate.

You do have to raise his suspicions, and he doesn’t exactly say he knows who you are, but really implies it.
First, Rebirth setup
If you are willing to lose one of the +5 stat bonuses stay in Argent’s mind and choose that you don’t care about her body
Then go pick up your box as yourself but get close and watch the commotion (+10 susp)
If you are exhausted and want to sacrifice stats, start a riot (+10 susp)
Naming yourself Sidestep, Heartbreak or Anathema can be very good.
Finally don’t get your ass kicked too bad in order to go visit Ortega at the hospital, and after the Eden shenanigans you go back to your body and get both +20% to one of your stats as well as (+10 susp)
But you need to be a ruthless asshole for that one (>60 ruthless)
Alright, now Retribution,
First a fair warning, it’s easiest to increase his susp if you’re an anarchist, but other steps can make it as well.
Now, Carter’s mansion
Take a moment to scan for Carter/everyone, don’t rush
Because you didn’t rush you’ll get Steel’s missiles, so make them go wild with over 70 will (+5 susp)
Next up while you’re fighting either tell him you know his tricks or that you’re not a killer (+5 susp as well)
When the civilians come, if you’re willing to sacrifice your mission, save them, otherwise tell Steel that you didn’t plant the bombs
Now when you’re at the rangers headquarters, if you’re an anarchist you get an automatic (+10 susp +10 doubt)
And if you tell him Lou Carter was a criminal that’s another (+10 susp +10 doubt)
Next up is I think Ochoa’s interview, if you have any of the arrogant names I’m sure telling the truth increases susp as well (+X susp) just don’t remember how much.
Anyways, after that, don’t kill blaze, go to therapy, then meetup in the park with Chen.
Confess you are coming from therapy (this is one of my favorite checks. If you’re on steel’s priority list this reduces your susp in 10 pts because he doesn’t believe the villain would ever try to do better, but if he isn’t sure you’re a villain because you saved civilians, then it increases his susp in 10 pts, it’s beautiful)
And well, you should have more than enough suspicion with all that, go hangout with him at the end before HG and he should reveal his suspicions.

Do you know how many points I need for Steel to know I’m the villain? I only have 15 points in this playthrough; it must be because this Step is very anonymous, and it makes sense his suspicion is so low because of that (duh).

I think it was just 40. And saving the civilians itself increases susp, but I don’t remember how much again.

Not being a known telepath and picking the option to save civilians gives 5. Any option besides They’re just working here; they’re not to blame." when talking to Steel gives 5 if relationship is =>40. The just working option itself gives 10 with the same relationship check. The wait for Steel to get down gives none unless Sidestep was know as a sidekick back in the days (In which case it’s 5) also it doesn’t get you villainsteel_relationship “villain?” just “enigma”. My nanovores can get that door open quickly and “(tactician) #I need to shut off the gas before the whole thing blows” both gets you 10. #I need to move the freezer. gets you nothing in Steel clues but still gives you “villain?”

So, I am putting together the first Revelations demo, and as you might imagine there will be several starting demos depending on your particular ending. My question is, what playable length do you feel a demo should be before it’s worth putting up to play?
In comparison, the character creation is about 2400 words (with some skippable general writing data). So the words in the poll are after you have finished the character creator (savable on Dashingdon of course).
- I don’t care, give me anything!
- At least a short story (5000 words)
- I want a bit more than that (8000 words)
- I need a big chunk before I bother with character creation (10 000+ words)
