We know possessing the puppet means the MC can’t use her telepathy. Does this also make the puppet unreadable by other telepaths?
Obviously, the puppet isn’t immune to all uses of telepathy, otherwise the MC couldn’t possess her…but if so, the puppet might be useful if we brush up against other telepaths. I mean, yeah Locus is missing, but I have a feeling she will turn up at some point, especially if you manipulated Argent to blame her.
Well if the MC can’t use their powers in the puppet I guess they become like everyone else in regard to telepathy and have to defend themselves rather than have an immunity. They ciuld have an advantage compared to other non telepath because they know how it work but to me it’s no more than that.
As for Locus yeah I would also like to see her but more like an intro in book 2, where she would get captured and you would have to defuse the situation before it blows up in your face
What would happen if a telepath posses the puppet though? You’d have 2 telepaths in the same body, it could be really weird. I guess it would be a telepathic battle of who has the stronger power that controls the body and the MC will likely win (since they have strong powers) against heroes like Locus but lose against the special directive operatives (cause they’re really strong)
Heck, I’m just figuring that there will be a time where the MC is in their puppet’s body…and some other telepath will take over the MC’s body. That would be some real fun and games.
It would probably be really difficult though. When Argent was dreaming and unconscious it wasn’t easy to control her and she had strong mental shields, and the MC as a telepath (and probably a re-gene would have far stronger shields than her, even if their body is unconscious at the moment. Plus the MC will likely notice their body is being hijacked the moment it happens since they’re still technically using it’s powers to control the puppet. I think the only ones who have powers strong enough to control the MC are the farm
But if you are indeed a regene, wouldn’t you be part of the special directive too ? I mean if you were created to be a potent telepath by the farm, only a younger one with potentially more advanced creation could possibly be stronger or subtler than you, and you had more time to develop your power… To me the only worthy telepath enemy would be the Heart Break
Yeah but if the farm are the ones who created you they would know how to control you. They wouldn’t make something they can’t control, if it was like that the re-genes would rebel and take over. They probably have some switch in you or something that can make them control your body.
Also their elite special operatives are probably stronger than you are, the Psychopathor is a stronger villain than you and that re-gene woman beat him.
Ah I thought you meant stronger as in a stronger telepath, my bad… Yeah in that case you’re right of course, there is a reason the MC is afraid of the farm

I meant it as a telepath, they probably have more advanced re-genes than you are with stronger telepathic powers. You were created about 30 years ago and the recent re-genes would be more advanced, and you also didn’t really use your telepathy seriously to posses people until the recent years (it is said you only used it to read minds in your hero career and it wasn’t that strong). They’d have some powerful telepathic boosters too (stronger than the suit one), but by the end of the third game you could probably match or surpass their powers.
Okay well in that case I stand by my previous post, (how do you know they have stronger boosters ? I see why you can think that given they’re well founded and have top scientists, but research doesn’t always work that way, Dr M may have had a better concept than the farm and they would have no way to know what that concept is, I’m not saying you’re wrong on that regard, just that you can’t be sure you’re right…) And as for the telepath like I already said, I’m not sure they would have a better telepath other than the HB… But I guess we’ll have to wait for the next one to see that 
I assume they have strong boosters cause they’re a government agency with a lot of money and influence. If they could create such strong re-genes they could probably create other strong artifacts. Besides the rangers and others already got telepathic dampeners so I guess making telepathic enhancers instead wouldn’t be that difficult. Although it could be that they don’t have it, after all Mortum made it from the cannon and only you took it.
I like that we’ll get more info on how Ortega took the MC’s death. Coincidentally Malin reblogged a post about Dia de los Muertos the other day…

Ortega really seemed to take the new villain too seriously for it to just be Hollow Ground though. he even said that it’s “too personal” for him and he may just be imagining things but he’d still like to be the one to bring her in. also, Hollow Ground speculation is mentioned by Argent and Herald before the fight.
there have been speculations in the thread that MC is an improved clone of Hollow Ground and/or that both of them were from the same make.
personally, i pictured Sidestep as like that too. though my interpretation of my main MC is closer to “mysterious vigilante” than “bad girl hero”. i do have “bad boy/girl” MCs though; some who are broody type while others are more on the laidback “i don’t give a shit” type.
tbh this is me about the Wayheaven thread. i don’t even bother keeping up with that thread at this point

i’m not so sure but i got that scene when i decided to destroy the exhibit as the goal. then i made the people cower in fear and manipulated them into destroying the exhibit.
That is one of the best parts of the story, setting up a fall guy in another’s subconsciousness.
