Sorry disliked it. Female and from the age of AIM chat.
Emily was whiny and annoying and I really didn’t feel much connection to her at all as a friend. Often I disliked the text options and the buttons didn’t line up with where you had to click so if you opened another window, I found I had to shut the whole program down to get rid of it and begin from the start of the chapter again. Sometimes the wrong option would get selected but I don’t think it made much difference really. There was also the “hey you’re having a rough time, we can just hang out with some friends on campus and don’t bring alcohol” and then bang, apparently she’s in your bed even though I never would have selected that option.
Also having to hit a key for each letter really started to annoy me. I mean I’m all for realism but I can type FASTER than the computer could type out the sentences when I was only hitting one key. I got to the point where I wanted to yell at the computer every time it deleted words because it meant it was going to take even longer. (I didn’t since it probably would have gotten me strange looks but it really was frustrating). I almost gave up after the first chapter but thought it had to improve. It didn’t.
Anyway there’s probably a niche audience out there that would go for it, it’s just not me.
