I thought this was the plan all along …
But I actually ment that I (the great papyrus …"sorry I had to say it XD) have all the power for myself

We’re just warming up for what’s coming … oh yeah … there is more
cough as soon as this game is complete, of course… The story of Robert must continue…
“I’m trying to be your friend… you don’t want to be my enemy…”
It’s 5 am right now
Whoops (this was fun but I have school tomorrow XD) Bye
The fact AJ_ will find all this on her topic will be fun to see…
Good nights (?
@ShadowBroker and @WhiteLynx
Okay I was certainly amused reading through your comments and they’ve given me some inspiration ![]()
I did think about not including that when I did the stat screen because I know it can be subjective.
My problem with them is that I a) didn’t want to clutter the stat screen with stats that would barely be affected, (I originally did have ‘callousness’ as a stat but removed it because It just didn’t feel that important.
) And b) They just aren’t stats I wanted to show and I thought (perhaps naively) that I’d be able to work with the ‘evil/good’ stat.
A lot of this is based around the MC’s thoughts, not what they actually say or do. If you choose to kill someone, you will be asked why and your morality stat can still remain unchanged if you give the right reasons - if your character, for example, wouldn’t have killed an innocent person, then your morality won’t be affected. The decision would still be tracked, just out of sight. ![]()
Good and evil are subjective as I’ve said and what kind of good or evil your MC has is up to you. If you want to kill everyone but the people close you then you can(figuratively), if you want to be a complete angel that might end up killing someone if the situation calls for it then go ahead.
My problem is that I’ve not reached any choices that truly start to define if your character is ‘good’ or ‘evil’ so I’ve yet to see if it will work. If it doesn’t then I will simply remove it and track choices via variables or, like @pyla8 suggests, with other stats.
Reading it back I’m not sure any of that makes sense
But basically the ‘good/evil’ bar is still in testing ![]()
Thanks that should be easy enough to change ![]()
On a happier note, I’ve got 5k words of extra content
and I will be working on it today as I’ve got barely any other responsibilities to do ![]()
I would say that having it As Loved/Feared would be better instead of Good/Evil
Just a question for fun
Why did you limit the magic people have to elements only? (reminds me of the last air bender and legend of kora)
Blood magic sounds more appealing like turning your hand into a blade made of bones (an example for that is an anime my friends forced me to watch called “parasyte”) or becoming something like Alucard from hellsing
For my opinion Good/Evil sounds more like the morality you are beding into your MC. The only thing I disagree is when you made them opposite and here is the why (Because well… since I am here and have a lot of free time lets explain)
Lets say I EXTERMINATE @WhiteLynx because it happened that we both disagree of how control the world… that will give me idk 10 points to dark because well you just killed someone in cold blood but she/he was planning on killing the world so you kinda did a Dark Grey thing.
Now, the same person (me) helps a child. An act of kindness that gives me 5 points to light. Amazing right?
Now why my 5 points of light should be - to the one of the dark? making it just 5 dark
50% dark = 50% light
+10 dark
50% dark + 10 > 50%light
+5 light
50% dark + 5 > 50%light
Why should I be redeem for cold killing by helping a child? For me Dark and Light should be seperated… So if you want to be grey and do both things will be possible.
(Did I explain myself correctly or… did I just puzzel you
)
(I know right? )
That … Surprisingly makes sense
Also you can’t kill what you can’t touch
While I have nothing against those as stats, the problem I find with that is that it is more how others see you and less what you are actually like. For example, if you were to kill someone in cold blood but no one was there to witness it, would the feared stat go up? In my opinion no, because how could other people fear you more if they had no clue about what you’d done? In other words, it takes away the option to pretend.
Sorry but I don’t quite understand what you mean?
The magic power they have is control over elements, it’s just how the universe falls ![]()
@ShadowBroker
Thank you that makes sense and actually sounds like it would work
Definitely something to consider anyway ![]()
Yeah that is how I am doing my game currently…
((Blood magic… witchcraft is here ladies and gentlemen…))
I ment that everyone is controling elements only and nothing else, no mind control no summoning weapons or spirits no transformations (please add transformations)
Cause in these magic stories I prefer the MC to have a power that nobody else has ever heard of (for example a fire mage turns into a red dragon morph) or what I mentioned above
Please bear in mind that I’m just talking and not asking you to do anything I say I just like to talk about stuff like this
Oh! Okay I feel stupid for not getting that earlier
There are two other abilities, healing and energy draining though I’m afraid they’re not quite as glamorous as turning into a dragon
as amazing as that would be.
And it’s fine, I love to hear your thoughts and answer questions
So… now we heard of the idea “fire mage turns into a red dragon morph” it’s no longer something no one has ever heard of… so…
Maybe you will have to think about something else, then comment it here and find it no longer useful because it is mentioned… and the cycle continues
Um … Becoming Apollo(fire mage) Asura(earth mage) Neptune(water mage) “don’t know any wind god, sorry”
Oh, maybe truebred eve from parasite eve?
Is lighting a element just want to know
Nope… it is a combination between Air and Water… Yet I wish it was…
In addition raddiation, thermal conditions of the water… preassuer… etc etc…
Thx just making sure
