Honestly a great story in the works, I love the premise and plotlines behind the scenes. What’s not to like with being a badass Dragon? All it needs is some TLC with the grammar and misplaced pronouns. Best of luck on your continued progress!

Who would have an coat near them that they can withstand -20 C?

If they have it near, it’s cause they are used to -20s. Otherwise it would be stored in a closet.

I got military grade cold weather gear. (Made for North Pool/Alaska troops to endure night blizzards.) During winters I tend to wear them on higher but still less than 40°. Had to take coat off cause I was heating up to much. Anything above, I can’t wear that without a heatstroke, in middle of winter. Not something they had access to for certain. I also do have civvy ones that are good above that 40 mark I mentioned up to 60s (Fahrenheit).

You can meet the Dragon Hunter from the bandit attack again… how do you trigger it? :astonished:

Here’s what I did:
When I meet the D-rank adventurer in the very first scene - after the initial customizing of the MC - I choose “I ask to be left alone.”

Chapter 4: (I think it is chapter 4?)
When given this choice:
How do you spend your time until then?

  • Visit the Adventurer’s Guild.
  • Visit the Mage’s Guild.
  • Visit the Scholar’s Guild. (This is the second chance to visit it.)

I pick the last one.

What knowledge do you seek?

  • I seek to improve my trade.
  • I want to learn something new.

Pick the last one, and then: “Dragon Lore”. You will meet Maester Hughes. Choose to sit with him. Shortly after Scholar Gamesby shows up and then Victor Blackwood.

Notes for Dubs3:
  • I think you need to go over the chapter titles/the first page of new chapters/the text on the bottom before a new chapter. Not all of them have titles, some just have “Next chapter” on the bottom before and then no number on the first page in the new chapter. I am not even sure how many chapters there are.
  • On the first visit to the Scholar’s Guild, when Hughes is talking about dragon elements, this sentence needs tweaking and the " at the end is missing:
"We know she wields has a icy core, which one, by itself, is amazing!
  • On talking about scales:
Your eyebrows shoot up at this. If you begin to start growing horns and a tail, it’ll be next to impossible to hide amongst the humans any further.
Just to confirm: Our dragon form does not have a tail? Or is the MC merely worried about their human form eventually having a tail (and possibly horns)?
  • “Scholar Gamesby”, the Maester says, with a turn, “We are at work, please refer to me Maester, I am your senior after all”.
Should be: “Scholar Gamesby,” the Maester says, with a turn. "We are at work, please refer to me as Maester, I am your senior after all".
Note the period after “turn” and the switching of , and " after “Gamesby”. There are other sentences on this page where " should be after , or .
(I am unsure about that “, with a turn.” Someone with English as their first language might be better at telling whether that is correct or not. Something feels wrong to my eyes, but I am not sure what exactly.)
  • Victor Blackwood says: “and when I had finally cornered it, it didn’t attack. It asked to be left alone. I was told it was monster, what monster behaves this way?”
(“a” in front of the first “monster”.)
As far as I understand, it is only the D-rank adventurer in the prologue whom we ask to be left alone. Victor writes a rapport about it but he is not the one it is about. We have only met Victor in the bandits’ attack. Is this correct?

Sorry for all these nitpicks - I really do enjoy your story!

Just to make you aware, Dashingdon hosting will be closing soon so I would recommend moving this to cogdemos or uploading a compiled html file:

You’re the first to comment about this! Glad you liked the scene!

This makes it easier to find all the issues since I don’t get any errors on my end, and you made them easy to find. Thanks for taking the time to put it all together

There’s an error after the fight in the castle, I can’t show a screenshot so I’ll just copy paste it here. Tanya called me “Name!” Instead of Opatos.

You’re in the middle of fighting back a yawn as you walk when you hear a familiar voice shout your name.

“Opatos!” Tanya calls out. Your eyes look around and you struggle a moment to locate her, a testament to your fatigue. “Name!” you hear her call out once more before she rushes into you, arms wrapping you in a tight embrace.

You feel your body waver slightly, but Tanya’s grip to steadies you against her.

“Hey, hey I got you” she says.

I embrace her
I kiss her

Just wanted to ask about this line when asked how we found T while surrounded by black fog(Finley’s suspicion grows, “You know I was half expecting your typical, dark, twisted comment”) I’m playin a genuine character so the line makes no sense to me. Is it on purpose or a bug?

That’s an error from the continuation. When I moved the game to the new site I uploaded all the new work as well so there’s a lack of polish. But found and fixed! It’ll be corrected in the next update

That’s an error, found and fixed for the next update

Found a fixed the errors! As for your questions.

  • Your half dragon form does not yet have a tail
  • In the beginning of the story when first attacked you are presented with this choice: In response to his attack, you do what you’ve always done. - This choice will form the pattern for how your character naturally deals with combat situations. So for example, this choice will make your character much more adept at defensive techniques and a more aggressive approach with make your character more adept at offensive techniques.
  • This scene in particular can have various impacts on Victor, such as: Him supporting the Dragon Kin, Having a scar running across his throat, or missing an arm.
Combat Mechanic Spoiler

Depending on the choice you make in the beginning, it will apply a “tag”

  • I ask to be left alone. :arrow_forward: peace_soft

  • I grab his sword and rip it from his grasp as a warning. :arrow_forward: peace_firm

  • I won’t kill him. But I will knock him out. :arrow_forward: nonlethal_soft / nonlethal_firm

  • I make a bloody mess as a warning to other would be Dragon Slayers. :arrow_forward: brutal (also cruel in nature, slight cruelty boost)

  • I end him swiftly and retreat away from here. :arrow_forward: efficient

Ideally this mechanic will change the fighting style of every character, in addition to the Physical Force/Finesse mechanic and your choice of weapon this will add a large variety to fight scenes as well as influence outcomes. Fighting style/weapon advantages/disadvantages etc

Yet Another spoiler: the impulsiveness/calculated stat can also influence this. If you choose to fight with the titan and then choose to minimize damage, your attacks are described differently with two outcomes for each element.

I love this game. I’ve never come across another one where the choices affect the flavor text so much and I love all the mechanics you’re putting in to make the personality affect things. Can’t wait for the next update; I need to know what happens!
