I aim for the wise, kind, defensive holy white dragon. I imagine I might even one day have to fight the southern murder dragon. My MC just wants to live his life in peace. He happily will fight to protect a friend or loved one, but if it’s in his own defense…he’d rather just run. G will probably need to save him from whatever mess he’s about to stumble into at this competition.

Good point. But there are dragons in fiction that want gold because it’s valuable just as there are humans that want it because of the way it looks or smell. I forget what the cause of that would be called either way it was us humans that gave dragons more humalike wants and desires like I said its still a good story.

True, but I was speaking about the dragons in this story. (And for all I know, it could be that the smell of gold triggers some almost-forgotten memory of MC’s family and so they’re instinctively drawn to it because they lost their family too early to associate with anything else, and most of the dragons actually aren’t drawn to gold. Then again, they could be; it’s not like we’d know either way, at least not yet.)
And regarding humans, I did say usually. Although most of the humans who like it as decoration also like it because it’s gold (and thus valuable), and wouldn’t accept cheap substitutes, even if they looked the same; dunno about the smell, never seen that myself (not saying it doesn’t happen, just that I wouldn’t know). Not saying there aren’t exceptions. But also, I wouldn’t call the exceptions greedy, any more than I would call people who collect plants because they like green greedy.

Honestly, I’m interested in getting to know this Stormlands dragonkin and see what kind of person/dragon they are. Perhaps they only kill dragon slayers that seek to kill them on their turf and not because they enjoy doing so. (I mean, can we blame them? The pesky dragon slayers are actively trying to kill them.)

I agree. I wouldn’t call a person who likes collecting jewellery “greedy”. To me, it’s not so different from a person who likes collecting toy car models or a person who likes collecting handbags from different brands.

Well I’m supposed to be waiting for Gavin but… heh…Thorin might just have won my attention 
. I was not expected to get the chance to smooch so soon. Plus, reading the way he just stares at MC in infatuation makes me kick my feet like a school girl lol.
Also, I’m looking forward to crossing paths with Mr. Maw again. I originally desecrated him like the bug he was but then I thought about it, reloaded and decided to spare him- juuuussttt in case he had some worthwhile content in the future or maybe even a potential RO; Vamp X Drago would be a dope power couple combination.

When you open your eyes, you see Thorin watching you sleep. It reminds you of how she would check on you throughout the night during your travels. Although this time there’s no worry in her eyes, but something else.
