I do get that feeling we as MC is big fish in gigantic pond and there is monster beneath in the deep.
We already meet vampire so far and it’s strong enough to damage our scale what next

Well, it is the nature of every proper kino story to end with fighting a God. And thwarting the plots such as “guiding souls of all” and “returning to the primordial nothingness”.
Since you mentioned that, I went and made and added a few of them in the Giant Monster category.
it did damage you ? me not^^
It depend on what strategy MC pick when dealing with Vampire
It depend on how MC choose to handle Vampire event, MC could lay waste to vampire with little effort if they’re not pulling any punches but if MC pick softer option the vampire will do an attack that will damage MC scale penetrating it and graze the skin, MC quickly regenerate from the damage but surprised to see their scale pierced, it was tougher scale since MC has grown after decade time skip.
Well definitely don’t want to be a sailor now if that’s roaming around the ocean.
Considering the setting I don’t see gunpowder or cannon yet fighting those with arrow doesn’t seem like great idea.
This is why I love being offensive/aggressive. Always laying waste to the scum of the world lol.
I don’t see any reason to not lay waste to vampire that definitely have blood in their hand, I am just exploring the option and it’s good to know MC limitation.
I didn’t even know there was a vampire honestly. I went blacksmith. I’m gonna have to replay so I can see that fight scene.
That’s the interesting part here, each job MC take lead to different city event.
I originally take herbalist, since it’s rare for a dragon to be a herbalist/alchemist, it also useful to support MC/party with little brew than spending magic power or stamina for ailments.
Blacksmith also good for supporting party, making weapon and armor but blacksmith tool is rather needy, like need anvil, hammer and stuff for metalworking cant bring those in the bag for travel and adventuring, unless MC have insanely spacious bag of holding or dimensional storage.
Hunter is good for aggressive MC I suppose since it’s hone MC’s physical prowess and sharpen their senses, also great for expanding MC’s knowledge of the world since Hunter require travel into wilderness.
Well, nothing prevents you from having skills that do this, but in terms of tools, just the anvil because we do the rest except fire, which if you use the power of ice, it won’t do the rest, yes.
I had made an art of my character like you had done before but I don’t have the level to send an image
Uhh I am no blacksmith but I’ve seen people making iron tools like pickaxe, hoe and shovel, blacksmithing definitely need a lot of tools also require precision tool, definitely need a lot of material and water it’s impractical to do it on the go, at best MC could do repair and maintenance while adventuring but to make it from scratch I doubt it.
Blacksmithing require mold to cast the basic shape of a tool/equipment, to make mold MC need kiln and clay at least, the mold need to be made with enough heat and not cooled too quickly or else it will go brittle cause crack when MC pour the molten metal ruining the product, I don’t think MC can use Ice block for this as it will melt.
Assuming MC pick the fire option they can replace the kiln, bellow and forge but not sure where to get the clay, the clay itself need to be cleaned from roots, branch, trash, gravel and stones.
After the casting process hard enough smooth surface Anvil is needed to temper the shape further maybe make it thinner for the blade.
To work this hot metal MC will need tongs and hammer, unless MC want to grab that red hot metal by hand even if they’re fireproof/heat resistant their hand may leave mark on the metal which can impact quality.
After done with tempering and shaping need to polish, grind or maybe sharpen the stuff MC is making.
Blacksmithing also requires substantial amount of water, maybe can be substituted with water element magic.
Next is making the handle, hilt or other decoration maybe from wood or other material need tool like drill, hammer and chisel, maybe can be substituted with MC’s claw (since MC’s claw apparently can cut metal) but the sharpening, smoothing and polishing definitely need tool or else the final product will not be shiny and smooth.
MC be it herbalist or blacksmith they pride themselves as master craftsman I don’t think they’ll settle for mediocre half hearted works considering they’re real master of their trade after the time skip. (No kidding even the humble MC will still take pride of their masterful works.)
This is the part of doing it from scratch, don’t even think about it, now fix it, sorry if I wasn’t very clear.
Quite engaging. Looking forward to more of it.
Inspired by @Zarkrai 's AI arts of his MC. Here are some AI arts of my own MC, a fire-breathing dragonkin who works as a blacksmith.
Note: He is supposed to be wearing a leather apron over a short-sleeved tunic while forging a sword. But the AI art program took the liberty and made him wear…I don’t even know what that is, and he isn’t working at a forge. Oh, well. I’ll just interpret this as him taking out a newly forged sword to sell.
Note: After trying hundreds of times and getting tired of it, this is the closest image I could get to how I imagine my MC’s true form looks like.
I got you @Barroth_the_Mage
These definitely looks nice and what I expect @Barroth_the_Mage was trying to do. Also, liked the Full Draco form too Barroth.
Dayum! How did you manage to get those so quick? And which AI art program did you use? Thanks a bunch, dude! I really like them, especially the “True Form” artwork.
Normally use image as reference and then tweak ai input maybe switch some lora.
That is good character. Totally can see that.
