Do you mean “not there” in the sense of just not romancable or not part of the story? Because the second option seems rather…meh. I would rather prefer to have a friendship route for said characters instead of never meeting them.
Sounds really interesting and will we have siblings like choose if we have sis or bro and build the relationship with them whether it’s you hate eachother or like
Sounds cool. I like the diversity in the RO, and I’m a sucker for the exiled prince storyline. If the King is so reluctant to exile you and you have the option to try and live the simple life, does that mean it’s possible some loyal knight from your forgotten life can show up and urge you to claim the throne?
Sounds intriguing, shouldn’t it be more aptly titled “destiny of the exile” though?
Seeing as how we are not the heir anymore at the start of the game and, depending on our actions, aren’t likely to become the heir to the Empire ever again.
@Sammysam ah, you bring up a good point, I was using the event I had in mind as just a way to introduce RO, but it would make far more sense to introduce all the characters, romance or not at that time so the MC has a chance to make friends as well.
@Harley_Robin_Evans as I have it planned now you will have a resentful little brother (he’s got a chip on his shoulder since you’re the favorite )
@Shawnheatherly that is something I am still deciding on, I have a few conflicting ideas that I’m bouncing around in my brain while I work on other stuff. One possibility is that your teacher who is training you in combat and magic chooses exile with you. Another is that he will stay at the palace for a while and seek you out later when “stuff” happens.
@idonotlikeusernames You are 100% right, that makes much more sense! I wasn’t married to the title and honestly only made it up like 3 minutes before I made this thread Thanks for the new title!
Definitely sounds like a great story from the plot but you had me hooked when I saw an army of lovers since I’m sap for the romance
One thing I’d like too see more in games in general is more than one representation per character. People who don’t belong to a minority, or just one or two of them, tends to put like, 1 black man and that’s all. He’s cis, he’s straight, he’s alossexual.
I myself, am a non-binary person, panromantic and assexual, and despite the “variable” characters that have genders changed when we choose our sexuality, I don’t recall seeing any character like me. What I mean is, people can have more than just 1 or 2 aspects out of the society’s standards.
If I can add, maybe you can consider putting some mental disorders? Like a character who has depression, or something like that. Or even something like dyslexia.
This post got too long, I’m sorry I just took the chance to talk, since you asked feedbacks and I actually feel good now
Now i’m excited, go Lizzy!
I’ll be happy to help.
Sooooo one thing that I miss a LOT is the freedom to customize my MC body, to combine the both genders. Since i don’t feel like man or woman even if I use feminine pronouns, when i have this freedom i can identify myself with the MC
NB is definitely one of the areas that I need help in, which is why I created this thread early before I had anything to really show anyone. I want to make sure that I represent people fairly in this project. If you don’t mind sharing with me your perspectives I’d be happy to talk over PMs about it
What happens if I sexually identify as an apache attack helicopter?
I’m afraid it’s a fantasy world that doesn’t have helicopters so you would be lonely
What! Siros gets skeletor, but I don’t get my attack helicopter?
This is messed up…
Joking aside, I like the idea of the project, as well as trying to accurately represent all the various sexuality(s) in the modern world.
EDIT: I already have two projects I’m working on, but one is on hold. If you need a proofreader in the future, just pm me. I’d be glad to help.
I was drunk when he asked
Thank you The thread that was up a few weeks ago about transgender representation was what really got me, I hadn’t really given the issue much thought until then and decided that I wanted to do something about it since I know how much I hate playing games where I don’t feel represented. Hopefully I will get enough input from community members to do this justice
Wishes he still had his facepalm gif ready.
Because i’m Batman!
So as I work on rewriting several of the initial ROs as well as trying to rework some of the story with feedback I already have in order to put up a demo, I decided to post some of my character notes about a few of the ROs to give people a rough idea and get some feedback on them. Please me gentle
Princess Ella
Orientation: Lesbian
Princess Ella is the princess of the neighboring kingdom of Irannia. She is very emotional and known as quite a crybaby. She is known for being kind and compassionate, always trying to find a way to make those around her happy. Her father is worried about placing the kingdom under Ella’s control because he sees her as lazy, inattentive and a hopeless romantic, spending far more time staring into space lost in fantasies of finding her true love instead of focusing on her studies. Thankfully for Ella she is intelligent and a quick learner, so she does well in her classes if she can be roused from her dreamland.
Princess Jenna
Orientation: Straight
Princess Jenna is Ella’s younger sister, unlike her sister she often has trouble dealing with emotions, both her own as well as those of others. Jenna also runs into troubles when dealing with people in general, and is generally thought of as rather sarcastic. While she is far more grounded in reality than her sister and a terribly hard worker, her father still judges her as an even worse candidate to run the kingdom since she lacks her sisters intelligence and people skills.
Lady Bria
Orientation: Straight
Lady Bria is most known for her quick temper, she is intelligent and often views the people around her as fools, causing her no end of irritation. She has a tough shell and often seems to be cold and distant, the only emotion that most people ever seem to invoke from her is anger. Deep down she can be caring, despite what her servants think. Bria tends to have a rather cynical outlook on romance and expects any romantic match to disappoint her like everyone else around her.
Squire Maxwell Meadowbrook
Orientation: Gay
Squire Maxwell always dreamed of being a knight, to rush off into danger and save some dashing Prince. His dreams began to become reality when a knight that had been passing through stopped at his parent’s in. She immediately saw potential in the boy and after securing his parents’ consent appointed him her squire. Maxwell is confident and athletic, qualities that will serve him well on his road to knighthood, however he is also seen by some as rather vain and reckless.
Emily DeVille
Orientation: Bi
Emily is the only daughter to a wealthy and influential merchant family that had made their vast fortune in the shipping industry. Emily is resigned to the fate of taking over the family business out of fear of disappointing her father, but its not her dream. Since she was young she had always wanted to be a playwright and works on scripts when she can find some privacy, her father had made it quite clear to her that he would never approve a life of creative poverty for his only child.
Lady Stephanie
Orientation: Pan
Stephanie is well known for her charm, she seems able to get most of the people around her to do whatever she asks of them with a simple ‘please’ and a smile. Those that see through her facade tend to see her as spoiled, selfish and manipulative. She enjoys to dance and is quite graceful, on numerous occasions she has even caused people to stumble and fall as they watch her glide through her family’s castle.
Lord Wesley
Orientation: Gay
Wesley is older brother of Lady Stephanie and is known throughout the lands for his wit and striking good looks. He is always at the forefront of fashion, causing much of the nobility to feverishly attempt to imitate his style. Wesley’s detractors see see him as arrogant and disingenuous, most of which are girls that had advances rebuffed by him and even then they only speak such things in whispers behind his back.
Is everyone but Ella and Jenna from your/MC’s country? So they’d all be at your court?
Of those that are posted, yes, the others are part of the Empire
I think I like the sound of Lady Bria, even if I would have to roll a male MC Always have a soft spot for the ice queen types!
We’re exiled from Court (and possibly the entire country) at the start of the game though, remember? Our mc’s are probably the lowest of the low now and given that we’re accused of a murder we didn’t commit it must have been quite the important individual that we’ve supposedly murdered because usually crown princes are virtually immune from any sort of prosecution or punishment, whatever their crimes.
