Dawn of Heroes

There were a couple of surprises at that end.

I’m currently writing the next two stories at the same time. I have a plan for one more beyond those, but we’ll see if I can get there.

The person who brought us together was the villain himself.

And there was also an unanswered question. What happened to the storm that made people disappear? Are those people really dead?

And what about the rest of the country and the world? What does the rest of the world think about people who can fly, run super fast, cast magic, etc.?

Sorry for so many questions.

You may want to spoiler about villain since probably not everyone played the demo.

Congrats!! I loved the game! I never saw one with so many build options for power and with so many details on them. It’s literally possible to emulate any here from comics. A fantastic work!!!

Congrat for the sucess of the story it’s one of the best I’ve read, altho I haven’t gotten around to read the full version yet ( I used to read the demo every day (many times) before it was reduced so I kinda know it almost by heart) guess I kinda killed my own hype… also just small question is getting fired in the IT road still the only ending? It’s kinda my favorite path but I only ever got that one (or maybe I’m doing something wrong:sweat_smile:?)

Yes, they’re dead. As for the storm, I’ll get to that in a later story.

That’s something else I’ll lightly touch on in the sequel.

It’s no problem!

Thank you! You should also look into Hero or Villain: Genesis by Adrao. His power selection is more numurous. Mine is more customizable. There are actually a lot of heroes you can’t build from comics, but I appreciate your words all the same.

The CEO path is the only one that can avoid being fired. This sets up new career options in the sequel. Thank you for your kind words. I have a lot of improvment as a writer and storyteller.

I just started this and noticed that the mass replace also caused problems with ā€œit’sā€/ā€œit isā€ (specifically ā€œas useful mentally and emotionally as it’s physically.ā€ should be ā€œas it is physically.ā€) - going through and double-checking every use of ā€œit’sā€ might be a lot of work, though. :grimacing:

Edit: I’ll keep a list of typos as I go and send them to support once I’ve finished the game (unless the author says they’d prefer to get 'em via a DM).

Either is fine. It’ll come to me either way.

I just finished the book, again. And I was wondering any idea of when you’ll bless us with the demo of the second book

After reading some of the comments i see the sequel may be a different MC… Is this true? What will the Sequel be about? What happens with this current MC? Kinda would have love to continue this MC’s story a bit more. I don’t know,

I’m not sure yet. The plan had been to wait a while, as I’m writing parts two and three at the same time. I want to get most of both stories done so I can give semi-regular updates and release both of them close to each other. However, reception for Dawn of Heroes has been poor, and that’s making me hesitant to share without taking more time on scenes.

Yes, the next story will follow a new MC. They are to become the MC’s sidekick in part three of this series. I have a hard time calling it a sequel since it explains what’s going on with this new character during the events of Dawn of Heroes. I normally think of Part Three as the true sequel since it follows both MC1 and MC2 after their first adventures.

It follows a teen whose family moves to Ryker the night the storm hits. It’s a sci-fi murder mystery with a killer on the loose. The events of this mystery eventually led them to gain their own set of powers.

They will return in part three! I fear that a lot of people won’t like me doing this, but the plan is to give these two characters their own stories before bringing them together.

I had heard some things in the forum on Reddit, and now I’m curious, from what you’ve heard, how do you personally find the reception that the book has been getting so far? Fair, unfair, constructive in a way?

I find most of it to be fair. I’ve never thought of myself as a good writer, and I finally got critical criticism, it just happened after it was released. Not the order that I’d like.

I’m leaving out some very key details, so we’ll see if you keep that thought when I release it.

I mean, I’m pretty much going to buy anything twentieth-century-to-future with superheroes in it anyway.
