Is it possible to save all the kids or no?
No.
This is an oversight. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
Itās very long! Read at your own peril! I kinda want there to be a Yautja-like (Predator) build for tech based heroes/vigilantes. Like the wristblades, wristband (wrist computer) shoulder cannon (plasmacaster or something similar), cloaking tech, infrared vision/thermal vision and night vision (am surprised we donāt have these already when we got x-ray vision and power armors), helmet-like mask with optional dreadlocks, hairs or just go full helmet like what we already have, Yautja armor with options between either full armor or revealing armor like most Yautja haves and traps between lethal and non-lethal. Also, is it planned to have an option for a secondary weapon slot? Like one character pick longsword then they pick either another option in that category in case they want to dual wield or a smaller option like pistols (the non-lethal options would be taser guns), SMGs, throwing weapons (knives and shurikens), claws (with primary and secondary options), batons, etc. It also feels like it would make more sense to add the weapon options to the power tree as an separate category next to elemental and telekinesis since they serve as a attack options like a power. I do like that sometimes it mentions your character coating their weapons in the element when you use the element option in fights but I only noticed it against the fight against Pykrete with lightning and katana. Not sure if it is mentioned in other fights before that. Again, Also, two things, 1: it sometimes mention my character thinking on wearing goggles or some eye covering in the future when they have flying powers, so does the helmet not have eye covering? If so, it would be nice to add that to the helmet if your using power armors (along with optics or maybe setting it up to add optics in the future) and eye covering other than goggles in the flair tabs for if youāre using masks. And 2: I thought of an idea for adding a flaw and upgrade for enhanced strength. The Flaw would be similar to what the Accelerated Movement has but for strength, you want it to enhance your strength but not have it as an attack option since it wouldnāt make sense for someone whoās doing a Batman-like playstyle to have super strength if all they want is their armor to increase their strength and the Upgrade would be something similar to the Near Invulnerability that Durable Protection has but for strength and LITERALLY get Superman level strength so your character would have to adjust their strength in daily stuffs and people like Aegis and Lugh would be the only ones who can handle your characterās strength of that level. Sorry for talking too much everyone.
Good demo so far. I belive it will be more popular if it use āyouā perspectivr instead of āiā. Good wip tho
Oh man, I couldnāt imaging trying to track players placing the location of power origin and placing different text in combat for it. As for cloaking tech I have come to the conclusion that is an NPC only ability. Mind Control and Invisibility are powers that they break most every threat or challenge. Is night vision not in the game? I know I code it into the story; maybe I forgot to add it to the list.
I do not have plans for a second weapon slot. Iām tracking a lot as it were and Iām not sure how much more work that would be. It might be very little or it could be quite a bit. Iām not sure but I donāt plan on figuring it out.
I have also avoided ranged weapons because of how that changes text. I want to include them, but it will be a lot of extra writing and I donāt know if I will get to it.
That is an oversight, thank you for bringing it to my attention.
So are suggesting to raise damage without raising lifting ability. I might be able to do that, but I might be changing that Accelerated movement flaw too. I have not started to revisit powers yet.
I originally did write the story in second person instead of first person. As I was writing the story and planning things for the future I felt that a first person perspective would work the best.
@Dvalor53 Night Vision is in the game but only Breaker has it. Itās mentioned on the mission where you first meet her if you pick it and decided to sneak in instead of going gun blazing. Once Breaker brings you into a separate room to talk and you have hyper hearing, you can hear Charles saying āturning on Night Visionā.
@Dvalor53 Since itās the last day of the month, does that mean we will see the new update today or tomorrow?
No, I stopped monthly updates to the demo in March. Right now I am building to a larger update and do not have an ETA on that.
@Dvalor53 is this update going to have chapter 20 and up?
No. Itāll have the rearrangement of chapters and the three new chapters that are replacing some others.
These chapters will give the reader more time with the team while building on their individual stories and set up some events later in the story.
The overreaching plan of Providence has its fingers a lot of aspects; like making a pasta dish but you starting at growing your own flower instead of starting purchasing the ingredients at the market.
The different careers and stories of the individual heroes all slightly touch on different aspects of the planās reach. There are choices from these side stories thatāll have subtle effects in the climax, some larger than others.
@Dvalor53 Just thought of a question. Do you plan on adding sidekicks in the future or if not then at least setting up some kind of partner system so that way will give you more time and opportunities to bond more with a specific hero/vigilante or are you gonna do both somehow?
The rewrite Iām working on now is adding more time with heroes, but not one on one time. I still have plans for a future story to introduce a sidekick.
@Dvalor53 Are we gonna be able to mold this āsidekickā to whatever we want them to have like moral related stuffs along with maybe the type of gears they use or are they gonna come with their own thing?
Thatās not an easy question to answer without getting too much into things. What I will say is that the sidekick is not meant to be an NPC, they will be a second controllable main character with a different powerset. Iāll not get into more as I am not focused on that story right now.
Oi @Dvalor53 who is the strongest powered human in this story so far [apart from MC, since it all depends on the Player as far as I got]?
Excluding the big bad, Aegis.
I find Aegisās naivety slightly annoying with the āno killā policy she has since it reminds me of Batman and we all saw how much damage that policy keeps doing if they keeps it up. Will we be able to maybe make Aegis at least more open to killing some people if she feels it absolutely neccesary?
I would think Aegis and Lugh are pretty damn close to being the strongest but the only thing that seems to hinder Lugh from being the strongest that he seems to be a man out of his time, Captain America style.
And heās still getting his power and memories back so we canāt be sure of how strong he will be once he getās all of them back.
