Crème de la Crème Discussion and Romance Guide (Spoilers Within)

@HarrisPS @Cari-san A story set at Archambault would be fun.

Would probably have to be set before the events of Creme, since certain endings result in Archambault either merging with Gallatin, or Archambault being the only school period.

Although it could be fun to play as a new class in the now joined Gallatin/Archambault school!

That’d mean an upgrade in social class. Okay, I’d be in game for that too even if we’d have the school setting again.

Not necessarily, Archambault may have their own Karsons. So like Karson we could be a servant having to serve our upper-crust age mates. We could also be a teacher who may be a(n upper) middle class professional tasked with teaching to the upper crust.
You could even advance the time period in the world from a 1920’s esque equivalent to a 1950’s - 1960’s which is around the time even those places started to have a couple of token scholarship placements for the gifted “indigent”. Which could be the chance to play somebody like Freddie at Eton Archambault.

A bit hard to rise further than my main mc already has. I mean once he is officially Rosario’s consort (with a top notch university degree to boot) he’ll outrank even Florin.

You have a point there, tho being a teacher, “Karson” of Archambault or even “Freddie” that’d also bring a different perspective. So while I’d prefer the upgrade, a downgrade could also be made interesting.

Oh gosh there are SO MANY amazing possibilities and stories in the Crème setting. One of our much-beloved activities at home is brainstorming possible future games!

However I can definitely guarantee none of them are going to be from the point of view of a teacher. We’ve both worked in education too long for Hannah to find it fun!

But we all know what goes on in that mysterious teacher’s lounge … at least the Gossip Girl version. lol

I’m trying to write a ~hilarious counterexample to the Gossip Girl vibe that’s, like, more Real, and it’s just bringing me out in hives!

Haha the teacher scenes were some of my favourite to write, but filtered through the students’ dismay was the most fun

I would loooove to play as a Gallatin teacher. Growing up, I wanted to be a teacher, so I would be very interested in playing that!

That’s true, but we don’t actually get to enjoy the pros and see the cons of being the prince/ss consort in game. So being an actual high class noble/aristocrat would still be new.

Will you share it?

I think your best bet for that might be one of the “ruler” games that pop up now and then. Although the ones where the mc is actually raised as a prince(ss) are are rare breed even among those.
The last two good ones to pop up (both on hiatus now, sadly) would be “Return to Zemia” and “New Atlantis”. Both are of the variety where the mc was born, but not raised, a prince(ss) though.

It’s also possible that if you can wait a few years @Havenstone 's XoR will veer in the direction where you can be a “noble” ruler, should your mc go for that. By all accounts the high nobility in the Hegemony is super duper posh and extremely decadent.

Or just get saddled with it. Darkner’s New Atlantis game especially fits this, my mc there wants nothing to do with it at all. Still the setting had promise with its, unique matriarchal culture that, for once, didn’t seem to be the mainstream media fantasy of a matriarchal culture, aka, we’re all super hot amazons just waiting for the right male hero. Still, for now it seems to be on hiatus.

Yep, even in a lot of stories where we do play a prince we often don’t get to really engage with or enjoy the posh aspects one would normally expect of the role.

Then we’ve all got to hope Fawkes will resume Seven Heirs soon, as the mc there is never anything else than a royal of a very prosperous kingdom who can basically be as posh as they like.

I think War of the West fits this. And Swamp Castle and the second part of the Great Tournament games, but those two are male genderlocked so not exactly my cup of tea.
Other than that I agree it’s more common that the heir MC has to reclaim their throne and stuff like that.
Don’t know about Wips, since I rarely check them out in fear that they’d get abondoned.

Guess lately I just got in the mood of playing MCs who start off as part of the high class instead of being a commoner who does something heroic.

(But I feel like we are getting a bit offtopic here)

There’s a guide in the first post on how to romance the ROs.

At the beginning of the game there’s an option to choose romanceable and befriendable characters’ genders. Either you can set everyone romanceable to a girl from the start, or you can choose as you play through, whatever feels right.

There are three choices

Which one i want to romance side characters like Maxine/Max

As @HarrisPS said, you either set the genders of all side characters to female with the second choice now or if you pick the third choice, choose their genders as female as you encounter the side characters the first time.
