I know i really like that game and can’t play it due to not having a computer.
Choice of the Physcopath.(Not a good name for theme)
I was just watching some flim theory on how their were 3 jokers(from batman)on the prankster, criminal mastermind and physcopath. So i think it would be cool if somebody decided ro make a game kinda like you are that crazy vaillan. Like another diabolical just that the mc is a lunatic that can either have his own criminal entourage, just do crimes for fun, or doing it due to their obsession with hero like they are suppose to fight each other until the ends of the earth. Plus what a lunatic without their more crazier other.(ideal inspired by hero and villians)
Choice of Metal and magic!
An android and it’s young charge are marooned on a back water planet where magic (or so thing comparitive) is commonplace. The goal being to both survive and some how get the young master back home. Problem is as the android there is no way to repair ones self on this planet, can you get your masterling home? Are you going to sacrifice your parts to protect them? How long can you function without repair? Could you just surrender and try to live on this strange planet in peace?
It seems a fun idea with a built in consequence system and so many things could go wrong or you could abandon ‘programmed’ morality and take care of a young defenseless child practically raise them in place of their flesh and blood parents.
Not too mention how much trouble kids can cause lol
Sounds a little like Riddick TBH.
I don’t see the similarity.
This is more like the “the Terminator goes to Middle Earth” lol
Hey, I was up all night deleting files on my computer *yawn and I found my FORGOTTEN STORY NO.19!!!
Now, why haven’t I put this in a desperate topic you ask? Well, the truth is I am unsure wether I’m going to make it or not so yeah, but Mods, message me or move it if I should separate this.
Anyway the story.
NAME: Skyward flies the soldier
Genre: Si-Fi/cyberpunk-ish/action
About: what if the next evolutionary stage of the Earth involved floating islands? What if humans due to this found it hard to survive the extreme natural changes causing most to die out, and the children ended up living longer than their parents and ended up only knowing them for four years? Welcome to the Sky Age. The human scientists remaining created the twelve soldier warriors called neorias who can live forever unless their keys are destroyed by their own kind. Neorians are able to fly, act quicker and move much more faster than the average human making them the perfect weapon which is exactly what happened…
The king took over all twelve to claim his rule on all the remaining humans, using the robots to become feared and hated. However the scientists created a fail safe (MC), a Robot with the qualities of a human (emotions) and the skills of their twelve predecessors and when activated, is sent to destroy all the keys which gave the other Neorians lives. It then killed the king to ensure the safety of the king, but unlike the other Neorians this one had human emotions and felt guilt and remorse and took itself to the most isolated place on earth and stayed there to rust.
It is eventually found by a human 200 years later and the world has changed a bit since now the king has come back as a new Nerorias so has their brothers and sisters meaning now they have to kill again. Can they do it? Is the guilt still there? More importantly, are they still able to fly?
LOOOOOONNNNNNG explanation I know but, there is no way for me to shorten this down and I haven’t had any Coffee for the past five hours . Anyway this is FORGOTTEN STORY NO.19. What do you think?
If I don’t use it I would love it if someone else took it under their wing, it is my favourite story out of the 24 I haven’t brought to life.
Hmm… I’ve had an idea for a possible Choice of [Insert Noun Here] game for a while so I figure I may as well post it here and see if anyone has any thoughts on it. My idea, in a single sentence, is for a game where you create and play as a kaiju (or giant monster). Not exactly sure what a good title for it would be - Choice of the Kaiju doesn’t sound particularly original - but the goal would be to play as a giant monster.
Players would get to pick what they look like (and possibly acquire additional features via mutations later on), what offensive and defensive powers (if any) they possess, and what their origins are (prehistoric monster, radioactive mutant, alien invader, genetic experiment, robot/cyborg, supernatural/divine/infernal entity, etc).
From there, you’d get to choose - through your actions and decisions - whether you are benevolent, indifferent, or hostile towards humanity, and whether to forge alliances with other monsters of different factions or go solo and fight them all. Would you keep the tone light and campy, or would you take a more serious approach?
To be honest I haven’t really put much thought into the story beyond that basic concept, nor am I sure people would be particularly interested in it. In any case, I’ve never worked with ChoiceScript before, nor do I have the time to commit to learning it to the point that I could make this concept a reality (at least not at the moment).
I just thought I’d put my idea out there and see if anyone has any feedback - positive or negative - to offer.
I like your idea actually! I think there are somewhat lacking games where MC can be a Monster. I like games where the monster is you.
Do we get to fight giant robots piloted by humans, too?
Yes, giant robots (human-piloted and otherwise) would be potential enemies… or allies.
Allies…? They will help me destroy cities together? Or maybe there is a bigger threat?
How 'bout a game where the MC is able to charm anyone but they have no idea why, it could be set in like a fantasy world or it could be set in highschool or something and all the enemies eventually get charmed by the MC, the story could be about the MC trying to figure out why everyone gets charmed by them or something like that.
Soooo… “Accidental Harem Simulator”…?
I was thinking more like the people don’t “love” the MC, like if it was set in highschool the MC would be the most popular student and have no idea why.
I guess if I accidentally become to most popular person, I would like to kbow why, too.
Ummmm, my story idea is that your parents are like harpies, half bird and half human, but the half bird is cuckoo. Your parents leave you in a nest of sirens when you are a baby, and every few years you have to kill one of your “siblings” to have more room and hoard all of your adoptive parents food and attention without being found out or raising suspision.
… They deserved it anyways, They’re eating YOUR food. How dare they.
I’ve always wanted to do a full bore fantasy universe. Several races and multiple origins in the former of a series.
One book/game per race exploring new place and learning the histories whilst becoming the ultimate badass of your kind;)
That was something I would love to see or work on but that would be a monster to take on
Yeah it’s a dream I’ve had for many years and have most of the world figured out just no stories.
Jus WAY to big to be my first COG
When I finish I would absolutely love to attempt that as a group project.
Oh, you mean like Verses the Lost ones? That would be cool, and I really liked Verses too! I like too see people putting different cultures together and the wars that usually follows so I wish I could see more of that! It’s also why I can’t get enough of the Night at the Museum series!
Oh no, I mean like D&D, warcraft, Warhammer.
The world I’ve in mind, is high fantasy. Magic gods demons dragons ect… just presented in a very different way.
Several races with complex histories and relationships.
That is soooooooo ambitious it makes my head spin! I’ll settle for a start to romancing Empathy in the meantime
