Do you have Violentmonkey or Tampermonkey installed? I do, and have to disable it for cogdemos or I get the white screen login, too.
If you don’t have one of those, check your browser plugins and see if anything else can interfere with the site (you should be able to tell by clicking the extensions and see what’s being blocked or altered). Other than that, I know of no reason you should get the white screen when you’re logging in, so maybe try a private instance of the browser (which just disables all your extensions).
Well i was doing it on my phone as i primarily use my phone to read, and JUST tried it on my desktop and it worked. lol. is it desktop verification only? or can i just not read?
Its a google pixel (bleh) but i believe it aligns with android. I use brave browser as well, but i have and used brave on my desktop to verify my account. It was just on mobile it would pop up saying the link has expired or moved.
hi! is there any way to link the “Discuss” button at the top of a game to something other than my email address? i’d like to have it redirect to the forum thread for my game instead, if possible.
So it seems a bunch of games by someone called Kingston is filling the front page of Cogdemos, and some of them repeat, the descriptions are all the same, and none of them even work. Just wanted to bring it up should this become a reoccurring thing in the future.
i also realized that i posted this in the wrong thread so i’ll put it up here instead:
i feel like this is an absurd request but is it possible to add a blocking feature or something similar? There are some works and authors that i do not wish to see in the public game catalogue.
Not sure if this is where I’m to post issues I’m having, but I can not get the email verification to work. I’ve tried multiple emails and resending the verification email and they never show up. And the email addresses I used are active and receive emails daily. So I’m not sure what to do?
This is a helpful explanation! Makes sense that old demos pile up over time, and it’s good to know there’s a cleanup plan rather than them just being forgotten.
I had an unexpected case of “failed to save”, and it turned out there was also a symptom of the “saved games” button not working (literally, nothing happened from clicking it). Refreshing the page solved the issue (I’m unsure if the game actually did save or not, despite saying otherwise - my gut feeling says it did, but I’m not sure, I was saving pretty frequently so maybe I did get that far before the hiccup), so I’m good to go again, but I figured I’d mention this in case it helps to pinpoint the saving problems people have been having every now and then.
I hate to ask for anything because I already really love the site in its current state, but I think something very useful might be the ability to sort your favorites by last updated. I use the favorites list quite a bit so it has quite a few pages which makes it cumbersome to do a quick scroll to check for updated demos.
