Looks like they’re empty files, it might be worth reporting them through the site.
Can’t the site have this hardset rule you can’t publish a game unless it has files in it? I’ve seen this happen so many times and honestly it makes me less enthusiastic to check out demos
Exactly
Hello!
I’m unsure if I’ve chosen the right category for this, but for some reason, my Patreon members can’t access any COGDemos content even though I have connected the content and my account to my Patreon, and they have connected theirs as well.
This has resulted in me needing to ask each of them for their COGDemos usernames and adding those manually to each COGDemos project that they should get access to. It’s an issue I would love to solve, especially since not everyone is comfortable giving out their usernames like that.
Is anyone else having this issue, or am I missing an important step for this to work properly? Any help is very much appreciated!
Below is an image showing how things looks on my COGDemos page.
I’ve moved your post to the main cogdemos bug thread - hopefully @EvilChani will see it here.
Hi @Carawen!
I’m sorry you’re having trouble with the Patreon plugin. From what you shared in the screenshot, it should be working. Are your patrons verifying their COGDemos account through their patreon account? If it’s not working for anyone, then I doubt that’s the problem, but I thought I’d ask, anyway.
@CC_Hill @Anathema Are you two having trouble with the plugin working at all?
Nothing on my side. All my latest links are linked to the Patreon and no report so far.
Could it be because the link is created as restricted? I’m not sure why that issue is popping up.
If the game was set as restricted, and then the Patreon requirement was added, that, indeed, would cause it not to work. If you have both, then it’ll also check the user name to see if they have access or not.
Do you want me to test one link and send to you or?
Yeah if you could test a link, that’d be great, just so I’m sure everything is working. I haven’t made any changes to anything recently, so nothing should be broken, but sometimes servers do wonky things.
Thank you and @CC_Hill for answering! I do have all of these links set to restricted
I thought that was needed to ensure that the projects weren’t publicly available? Or should I just keep them private/restricted when I’m editing and playtesting, then change them to ‘public’ and connect to Patreon when I’m ready to share them? Would that make them Patreon accessible only?
EDIT: It has not been working for any of my patrons, so the issue must be because I’ve got it all created as restricted, I’m guessing?
Yes. If you take off the restricted access and just leave on the Patreon plugin, it should work okay for you. ![]()
Yay! I helped someone today!
You helped two of us… both me and Carawen! Want to do all this packing for me? ![]()
I have to empty out my closet, too, because they’re tearing out the stairs from the kitchen to the bedroom, and widening my narrow closet. It’s so much freaking work to pack things. ![]()
Thank you both so much
I’ve been wondering for so long why it doesn’t work…I really should have asked for help sooner. And good luck with packing!!
Is the version control done yet? Restarting with every update is getting frustrating
The dev had some issues and wasn’t able to work on it for a while. I talked to him at the end of last month and he’s trying to work out a plan. Hopefully, he can get it working soon.
Can someone check the website cogdemos.ink, it is not loading. It’s showing this error net::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID
Same thing happening with me
Issue fixed
Thank You
