My idea is turning out…fine.
I’ve hit a brick wall but Im sure i can get around it.

I’ve hit a brick wall but Im sure i can get around it.
Or, you know, go through it and leave it as tiny little stone shards.
It’s great to hear progress is made. Not much fun in judging if there’s nothing to judge
Hi all, I’d love to enter my game, if (and that’s a big “if”) I can get it finished by April 5th
I started it last week and I’ve only written 1800 words so far, learning as I go
How is everyone getting on?
I finally put metaphorical pen to paper yesterday and have started writing actual prose, so I’m up to a whopping 650 words!
I’ve either planned out something that is all going to fit neatly together and be (relatively) easier to write. Or it’s all going to fall over in the middle. I’m also dealing with a small bit of anxiety that the entire idea is going to prove to be boring/repetitive.
At least I’m more confident of actually having a finished entry now.
Will the boring/repetitive part be the mischief?
Ha. Reminds me of the first idea I had for an entry, and which I posted above. A dungeon crawler that just loops infinitely.
Though thinking about it, that isn’t a million miles away from the idea I have had actually - but shhh, it’s a secret. Let’s just say that time is involved.
All of us are feeling the same anxiety and fear, You are not alone and we all have to cheer us to end our projects as that is the real goal for me at least. Being able to finish will make me feel proud. At least I hope to finish on time.
I hope y’all are having fun. Please don’t sweat your submissions
it’s all in good fun and I bet each one is going to wow us.
Just some reminders/clarifiers:
Exciting! Hoping everyone is going well with their entries! I’m looking forward to reading what we’ve all come up with after the comp ends.
I’m honestly having so much fun writing my story. It’s about halfway done now and having this competition and deadline to work towards has been absolutely invaluable. I’ve told all my friends and family about it, so there’s no way I can abandon my project now.
I honestly don’t think I would have been motivated enough to complete it otherwise.
I’d love to see what you’ve all written, even if it isn’t “finished” finished. Worst case scenario it’s a learning experience where you get hopefully useful feedback from others, best case scenario you win something. I’ve seen a lot of amazing writing from people who doubted themselves so much they barely dare to turn something in, so go for it and see what it looks like from an outside perspective
hey, will you be sending a PM to everyone who submitted a game just so that they know it’s been received (via the form)?
Maybe. There is only one that is submitted right now and I’m going to send that person a PM. If you don’t get a PM in the next couple of minutes but you thought you submitted your story, then something went wrong
Have you finished your game Sam?
I’m frantically trying to tie up loose ends and write the last two scenes
Bringing it all together is proving harder than I anticipated…
Yah, I sure did finish my game, and I am CHOMPing at the bit to see what other people came up with because I am definitely in the mood for some mischief!
Haha awesome pun, love it!
Yay, congrats on finishing
I love the theme, it fits perfect for this time of year
How is everyone else’s entries going?
I’ll be working on mine this afternoon, I’m behind schedule. I hope I can finish it before Easter celebrations keep me too busy
I didn’t even think of that. If I did, I’d have set it up so the writing and judging would be over with and everyone could read the entries starting April 1st. Smh, missed opportunities.
Don’t you hate it when a better idea for an entry pops in two days before the deadline.
Speed-write, go!
I submitted mine last night, but my Mum found an error this morning! So I’ve quickly updated it on dashingdon, I hope that’s not against the rules
Happy writing everyone!
I submitted mine!! Ugh its so short thooo
