Hollow bones. Bigger wings.
To be “correct” the wings are limbs, and should be the human “arms”, but a second set of limbs could technically work, but they wouldn’t be useful for much (because hollow bones and lack of muscle for flight).

Making a second set of limbs work as wings would take serious alterations in musculuture. So clearly converting the existing arms would be the easier way to go, but you’d lose nearly all of their utility as arms in the process. As for bird bones, you’d pretty much need to convert your entire body to bird bones in order to fly either way it would seem.
Look, if you’re going to ask me then just answer your own question, telling me stuff I already know, just, don’t ask me in the first place.
ugh, as if I needed to be spending anymore time and mental space on this world that I’m already obsessed with. As long as I can remember I’ve desperately wished I was a bird. Way to fuel ANOTHER adventure fantasy of mine, Havenstone.
(grabs my notebook)
Are you trans? Are you gay? Are you some other type of minority? You need not answer here. I am interested in the connection between LGBT culture and identification with monsters, animals, shapeshifters, and aliens.
This is another reason why the laguz are infinitely better. Beasts, birds, dragons. Something for everyone…
I told Havie. I told Havie Abhuman birds would be unmatched and especially useful in disabling flying Theurges. But Havie said “no, nothing that isn’t mammals” so where are the bats, you stony bastard, where are they?
I’ve thought about this a lot myself, actually. If you wanna know my take on my own personal situation here I can PM you.
OHO… truly… abhumans belong to the transes…
Only if you’re comfortable with that. Wouldn’t want to move you into an area where you didn’t feel entirely happy with it.
Dialogue in that form is actually helpful for many people–so don’t discourage it on the XoR thread, please. If anyone is irritated or bored by the direction an otherwise inoffensive bit of conversation is going, please just step out of it without conversation-shaming the people involved. Let’s keep the thread friendly.
I’d been thinking flying animals wouldn’t work at human size, even with hollow bones. Or adult human size, anyway. Tell me why I’m wrong!
(I guess you could do it with kids if you caught them on the way up… i.e. a creepy bat Gara’u that inducts half its population into flight-related transformations before the age of, say, 5, and then freezes their growth thereafter… But I feel there’s enough unpleasant stuff in the gameworld as it is without adding a clan of adults trapped in bat-child bodies because of their parents’ decisions when they were still under the age of consent.)
A question is this new game FOCUS in furries. Because all is monkeys parrots otters and if they are bangeable or not. What about The actual game? Or I will come a Seracca
Literally the only reason I’m still on this hellforum.
Of course not. Look again at that list of ROs. Look at what I’ve said about where you’ll spend each chapter. The Abhumans are only one part of a big and multifocal story.
But it will be possible to spend a good chunk of the second half of the game in Laj’s company, for those who want to.
I should say that I cannot wait for the rest of the story. I can’t wait for the development of the plot, I can’t wait to get to know existing characters and meet future ones. I can’t wait to find out more about Theurgy and explore the power structures of Karagon. I think Abhumans have just gotten a lot of attention because they’re sick as hell and also are probably one of the least explored things in the first game, so naturally there’s a lot of questions and speculation.
Does that mean that Abhumans can only increase their mass, instead of shrinking down? Are there upper and lower limits that determine what size Abhumans can be?(Other than the actual physical laws that would make giant/tiny mammals unfeasible)
It is this is becoming like 4chan all sudden. and ever if I agree they are interesting in philosophy and lore I am no interested in biology or banging one have asexual .yes banging with one no in a million years.
The idea of change abstract and to become inhumane is for me very stupid so maybe is because that
Hey, we’re not to 4-Chan levels! More like a lightly moderated reddit thread
Says she that’s gonna play a cyber-outfitted cat-person in Cyberpunk!
In Havie’s initial draft, they could do both, but I pointed out that in accordance with the square-cube law it’d be more a bane than a boon to rapidly mess with sizes that the animal (or human) has already evolved to work with. That’s why everything has to stay more or less around human size, give or take a bit of reach - people aren’t turning into shrews or elephants any time soon.
So theoretically they could mess with their sizes, but it’d… be annoying, and likely kill or damage them if not on constant support by their community.
My character in Cyberpunk DON’T want becoming an animal and suffering eternal pain and all that to abandon all advantages of humanity. Also doesn’t consider animals superior. Exotics are not animals are people who like enhance a little their senses and looking pretty good
Let’s bring this back to the actual game for a moment.
What exactly are the advantages of the builds:
Wisard- can learn and use magic, can help in combat through magic and convince Alaine to smuggle.
Charismatic- worthless in combat, but perfect when against priests that demoralize the camp, can convince more people to join such as when going for the Keiratou sheep and can influence even more people by claiming some religious power such as becoming an eccliast or convincing others to turn to Kenon.
Warrior- less deaths when leading, can fight against any enemy below a theurge.
I can’t think of anything else.
Steals a horse. Good vs Plektoi. Gives Elery a run for her money and can raid everything, frankly.
Can notably kill all 3 Theurges in one blow.
Unless you don’t like Breden. Or something.
