In Chapter1A, MC can ask the waiter if he speaks French in French. “Parles-vous Français?”. If you got that from a native speaker, then everything’s fine and I’m wrong. But from my understanding, it should be “Parlez-vous français?”. “Parles” is second person singular and goes with the pronoun “tu”, “parlez” is the form for second person plural with “vous”, the proper choice to address a stranger.

I noticed that too. And for clarity, from what I studied (I only achieved DELF B1), “vous” second-person plural or used as the second-person singular for speaking politely, especially meeting for the first time, not the close circumstances (vous parlez) and “tu” second person singular, used among friends, family (tu parles).

Hi, French here ! The second person plural is in fact used for politeness, here the strictly correct grammatical form would be “Parlez vous français ?”. But when we talk we are more relaxed and don’t really use it, so a french-speaker would most likely say “Vous parlez français ?” (especially if like in this situation he is surprised). The sentence is here not grammatically correct since in a question the verb is normally the first word of the sentence but it feels more natural.
Alternatively since everyone in this scene is young and it is not a formal meeting, the polite form isn’t mandatory so a MC saying “Tu parles français ?” doesn’t shock me.

For capitalization like Sugi said we only use it for proper nouns or nationalities. This way we write:
un Français (a French)
un nom français ( a french name), here the nationality is an adjective.

Um…is Gabriel willing to kill MC for the sake of the group? Or for missions? Because when I was doing the informat route (slash turn criminal), Gabriel kinda allowed Michael to shoot me after finding out I was rat. Btw I already told him before that I was working for the FBI and we have a good relationship. Just curious.

The first shot was something Gabriel never would’ve seen coming. But the second one was a more personal reason. As far as the MC is concerned, he is willing to let the MC die for the sake of the group.

You hit the bullseye dead on there. The only problem is, who are the MC’s parents? The MC’s true origin will explored further in the next book, as will Mouse and Gabriel and Anthony.

Just wanted to say that I absolutely love this game!

There were so many hilarious, glorious moments, the dynamics between the trio is amazing, Gabriel’s sheer presence is a sight to behold and I am eternally grateful he was turned into a romance option.

I have to say, Gabriel was a real hit or miss. Some people like his presence, other people hate him. It really comes down to preference, honestly.

The MC will have a much bigger role and presence in the next game and they will have to be more careful with planning, team work, and more emphasis on the crew relationships both for the FBI route, and the criminal route. This is both to counteract the main trio hogging the spotlight in the first game, and the fact that in Book 2, the MC will be much more ready for bigger responsibilities.

As for the roll system… it’s a hell of a mess to code and a real pain to fix whenever there’s a problem but we eventually got to it to work.

I liked that you could choose MC’s physique, but I noticed that it was commented on less and less later in the game. I’d imagine that it must be much more difficult for Gabriel to catch a heavier MC from falling down the tower than catching a light weight. And when romanced Gabriel und MC accidentally swap clothes in the church, I can’t quite see Gabriel remotely fitting into the clothes of a 48 kg, possibly small MC.

Hmmm, yeah, I guess I could’ve done a bit more for that. I’ll be sure to include it in the next game.

I’ve fixed the relationship check. for that other scene… Hopefully.

This has been reported numerous times, but still, this is for a speciffic reason. As a con-artist, the MC can speak more than two languages. So it would be a bit rich to have them fluent in more than one language besides English. Their imperfect French (And Swedish later on) is intentional.

Her romance is the hardest to achieve. You need 70% relationship with her before you can invite her into your room in the end of Chapter 3. You will be visited by Gabriel, don’t invite him in. Raquel will then appear, and you can invite her in.

I’d started playing it, but stuff happened (so much stuff…) and I’ll continue when I’m less of a stressed out mess. It’s fairly ridiculous that I still haven’t figured out what is netting me relationship decreases early on, with how many times I played through it, and read the code.

I have to say the more I play this game the more I enjoy it. I’ve never wanted to fail at things so badly. It is like its own game. I’ve played the game probably around 10 times, and I keep finding new stuff by failing or just making bad decisions.

For example I was just made a driver for the second time. And after doing the starting scene perfect last time, I thought I would make some different decisions. And oh my goodness! Chains got shot in the neck and dies, and My gunner got cut in half. Then I had to decide if I wanted to try to shoot Smiley so I could keep all the money. Just the time and effort that went into branches is awesome. Now I just need to find out what happens when if I fail the hand grab falling out of the tower.

Anyway, I’ll stop babbling now.

I failed it once and you just die and have to do the whole chapter again ahah. One thing I wish is that if we die, we don’t go back completely to the beginning of the chapter. I mean the chapter are pretty long, i feel like going back the the beginning of the part would be less… hum… frustrating haha

It is intentional that some characters start out with a low relationship stat. This is due to their distrustful nature.

They’ve been lit up like the Blackpool illuminations hundreds of times and their phones have survived.
