Damn. I need to analyse the story more.
I noticed that too. And for clarity, from what I studied (I only achieved DELF B1), āvousā second-person plural or used as the second-person singular for speaking politely, especially meeting for the first time, not the close circumstances (vous parlez) and ātuā second person singular, used among friends, family (tu parles).
About capitalization in French, languages are not capitalized (unless they are proper nouns)
Yup. For the first time, the MC speaks more languages, thatās so cool.
Does anyone know how to romance Raquel?
Hi, French here ! The second person plural is in fact used for politeness, here the strictly correct grammatical form would be āParlez vous franƧais ?ā. But when we talk we are more relaxed and donāt really use it, so a french-speaker would most likely say āVous parlez franƧais ?ā (especially if like in this situation he is surprised). The sentence is here not grammatically correct since in a question the verb is normally the first word of the sentence but it feels more natural.
Alternatively since everyone in this scene is young and it is not a formal meeting, the polite form isnāt mandatory so a MC saying āTu parles franƧais ?ā doesnāt shock me.
For capitalization like Sugi said we only use it for proper nouns or nationalities. This way we write:
un FranƧais (a French)
un nom franƧais ( a french name), here the nationality is an adjective.
Sorry if it isnāt clearā¦
Thank you for helping me improve
The first shot was something Gabriel never wouldāve seen coming. But the second one was a more personal reason. As far as the MC is concerned, he is willing to let the MC die for the sake of the group.
You hit the bullseye dead on there. The only problem is, who are the MCās parents? The MCās true origin will explored further in the next book, as will Mouse and Gabriel and Anthony.
Thank you very much for the awesome feedback!
I have to say, Gabriel was a real hit or miss. Some people like his presence, other people hate him. It really comes down to preference, honestly.
The MC will have a much bigger role and presence in the next game and they will have to be more careful with planning, team work, and more emphasis on the crew relationships both for the FBI route, and the criminal route. This is both to counteract the main trio hogging the spotlight in the first game, and the fact that in Book 2, the MC will be much more ready for bigger responsibilities.
As for the roll systemā¦ itās a hell of a mess to code and a real pain to fix whenever thereās a problem but we eventually got to it to work.
Hmmm, yeah, I guess I couldāve done a bit more for that. Iāll be sure to include it in the next game.
Iāve fixed the relationship check. for that other sceneā¦ Hopefully.
This has been reported numerous times, but still, this is for a speciffic reason. As a con-artist, the MC can speak more than two languages. So it would be a bit rich to have them fluent in more than one language besides English. Their imperfect French (And Swedish later on) is intentional.
Also, hello @Arthmet ! Thank you for the info!
Found and fixed! Thank you for the report!
I give up on trying to read through all the posts that have appeared since launchā¦
Hi @MichaelMaxwell, I canāt remember if I have congratulated you on the game being releashed, so CONGRATULATIONS!!
Iād started playing it, but stuff happened (so much stuffā¦) and Iāll continue when Iām less of a stressed out mess. Itās fairly ridiculous that I still havenāt figured out what is netting me relationship decreases early on, with how many times I played through it, and read the code.
Has the Gregory glorious goods bug of not being able to visit the shop been fixed yet?
Yes, it has.
In the undercover route, is it really the end of the line for Mouse if the MC stays a cop?
I hope not! The only thing stopping me from crying my eyes out during that is my head cannon that mouse is alive and living in Fiji.
On that note, Iāve gone a bit further in the game. I realize Carly comes from a French speaking family (but a Dutch speaking city, btw) but it sounds like an American pretending to be from Belgium she would just say Belgium instead of Belgique
I have to say the more I play this game the more I enjoy it. Iāve never wanted to fail at things so badly. It is like its own game. Iāve played the game probably around 10 times, and I keep finding new stuff by failing or just making bad decisions.
For example I was just made a driver for the second time. And after doing the starting scene perfect last time, I thought I would make some different decisions. And oh my goodness! Chains got shot in the neck and dies, and My gunner got cut in half. Then I had to decide if I wanted to try to shoot Smiley so I could keep all the money. Just the time and effort that went into branches is awesome. Now I just need to find out what happens when if I fail the hand grab falling out of the tower.
Anyway, Iāll stop babbling now.
I failed it once and you just die and have to do the whole chapter again ahah. One thing I wish is that if we die, we donāt go back completely to the beginning of the chapter. I mean the chapter are pretty long, i feel like going back the the beginning of the part would be lessā¦ humā¦ frustrating haha
Now I can stop wondering. Iāve had plenty of bad rolls all over, but for some reason I always make that one. Now that I know, Iāll probably fail next time Iām there.
Turns out the Discord link expired. Can you give us a new one?
Love the game btw! Iāve played it 3 times now and I donāt plan on stopping any time soon.
Here you go!
Yes, the fact that sheās from a dutch speaking city is intentional. And thank you for letting me know!
I meanā¦ You can save her
Donāt worry, I did too.
Thank you! And Iām sorry if the game has caused some stress
It is intentional that some characters start out with a low relationship stat. This is due to their distrustful nature.
Hey guys! Almighty Michael. Can you romance Raquel even if youāre a FBI informant? Just curious
This thought only occurred to me on my zillionth play through, and is probably absolutely irrelevant or already been asked, but, what sort of phones do these guys have?
Theyāve been lit up like the Blackpool illuminations hundreds of times and their phones have survived.
