BREACH: Chicago War Zone (WIP) (1 Million Words UPDATE! 23-April-2024)

Can i put 6 medium-size supressors on my Minigun in this game?

Unfortunately no… But at least you can attach muzzle brakes or compensators on each barrel… apparently.

I noticed a little inconsistency, I think, between the first game and the demo; so, my Raphael was an undercover cop, who defected to the Archangels (the correct choice :3c). He also romanced Justin (pls he’s so dreamy   ) and Mouse was aware. Now, in the demo, the recap says, in that confrontation at the Mill, Michael shoots the player, mouse, and presumably whoever our RO is. Justin, at least, also brings it up again after the meeting Gabrielle. But I went back and the scene in the first game, the player character is the only one who Michael shoots. Mouse and [RO] try to stem the bleeding and plead for our life.

Hmm, this is odd… either my notes are false, or I’ve completely forgotten how my own game went (Which is very likely.)

Is this the same for the other ROs?

I recently replayed Book 1 and chose to romance Rook as an undercover cop changing side to the Archangel in the end by admitting I was the FBI mole and only the MC got shot by Michael. I think Rook held the MC and then pointed his gun at Michael while the MC is bleeding out. And then admitting being the mole will immediately result in the MC getting patched up before joining in the Mill fight. I think admitting that we are the mole is the only way to join the Archangel (if we don’t romance Gabe) right?

And then when I got to Rook’s romance scene in Book 2, he said:

“Just letting you know, I took a bullet for you, and I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. But, next time, please let it be a slower pistol round” He chuckles.

I was a little bit confused because I only remembered him and Bishop getting shot if the MC decided to stay with the FBI and deny being the mole.

I don’t know whether this is the same case as with the other crew ROs because I’ve just romanced Gabe and Rook so far.

Ive gone through the first Breach a lot of times. And the one story tree im gonna love trying. Is going out for blood and avenging the death of my little Mouse. :pinched_fingers:

Removing that angel from the world, is a far greater sin than the Archangels can carry. So, there shall be atonement in blood. :upside_down_face:

The WIP is amazing, I love playing it. Though I wanted to ask if you are still continuing this game as you have not put in an update!

I am most definitely still continuing the game. Things have been rough, and slow… but I am most definitely still working to continue the game.

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having difficulties with the story right now, that sucks. I hate running into a writing drought myself… However, I just have to say that Breach is a brilliant series, and one of my most favoured titles! So, even if you take a break with intention and there’s a lengthy pause on any updates, plenty of us will still be here.

You, buddy, are one helluva glorious author.

I mean, I’ve completed the first story and the demo several times already and yet to this damn day I will still come across unread content due to the weighty content, dice rolls and depending on my character builds — you set your story up so well! And the fact that you have created something so complexly coded, detailed and interesting, and have not yet lost your mind already is otherworldly! You have put so much love into Breach, and it shows.

So here’s to you, Michael! Thank you for Mr. Mystery Gabriel and for the entertainment. You take all the time you need bud~

I am absolutely glad that you enjoyed the game.

Having to write something like this took me quite the amount of time, but hearing it pay off is what keeps me continuing to write the series. I might not be continuing to give constant update by the monthly but I am still continuing to write, my hope and goal is to be able to continue back into my rhythm and give monthly updates, for now it’s just been quite… stressful, for everything, and everywhere.

That being said, as I have said before, so long as I am still alive, I will continue writing Breach.

Much love, and much thanks to everyone for your patience.

I might have a suggestion, Gang Alliance Mechanic. They might play a critical part in your upcoming game. You can bond with other gangs, form alliances, even call in favors from them, and also merge with them

That is pretty much the plan going forward, though not to that extent, the MC will have to deal with the smaller gang warfare of Chicago even if they manage to take out the Outfit, the city is still divided.

Is raquel’s gender still an issue cus mc has sexual chemistry with every character except her??

It’s a good idea for a job, but currently won’t really fit in Breach 2 or 3.

… There… is no issue? There’s not supposed to be any… Raquel is asexual. Her gender has little to do with it.

Just completed the demo,
The story is chugging along well i see,
still, there is a couple of typos here and there,
For example, My mouse is Avelyne and some mentions of her, regards her as a “he” but that’s just by the by (not important, but worth mentioning).

Anyway, a question if it’s not too spoilery,
Now i haven’t read all 617 replies but,
Michael and Gabriel, are they on a collision course?
Like, i know i’m entering uncharted territories here but how would you describe their relations, because i’m seeing some Dutch+Hosea+Arthur vibes and well i’m concerned,

And speaking about concerned, i must congratulate you, the breach series, is probably one of the best interactive stories in hosted games right now, by my opinion of course, the world is extremely well build, and i never got bored or confused by the story,
Simply put, bravo you really did a splendid job, now onwards and stay safe.

There is a third game? Plus, I like the entire Planning Phase and the Heist Phase Mechanics. Is it possible that you will add more of these to your BREACH Games? It’s like you put in GTA
5 in one Choicescript Game

… The past few months has been harsh, for me, and a whole lot of other people out there. But, I’ve managed to pick things back up again, and an update is coming mid April.

I’m terribly sorry for the silence, I needed some time to… gather myself.

I wrote Breach before ever playing RDR2, but goodness me, yeah, it absolutely does feel like those three sometimes, mostly without Micah, thankfully… mostly.

The trio work off of each other, and they are essential to one another. If one of them falls, all three of them falls over. Their dynamic is slowly being stretched and tested in Breach 2, and you’ll get to see the nitty gritty relationships between them even more, soon.

And thank you! I’m absolutely glad that you’re enjoying the game, it’s all I could ever ask for

It’s been one hell of a journey getting here, and there’s still a whole lot of work to do but, I am still alive, and I will continue to write.

Yes, there will be a third game, and the planning, and heist phase mechanics is essential to the gameplay of the Breach series. It’s based off of Payday and GTA, and the movies Heat and Oceans 11. A lot of the inspiration came from everywhere else, but, I’m just grateful Breach 1 came out alright

I hope that I can see more of these in the future (Planning and Heist Phases)
