I am currently writing a story called Terran Champions: Darwin 2 Incident.
I am still writing the open scene which is planned to be a fairly extensive character building scene. I am planning on rewriting a large portion of it as well. The long term plan for this is to release this as the first of 3 interactive prologues to a true Semi-fantastical fiction novel: The Chronicles of Terra. However with so little time to write at the moment, and so much left to do, I don’t see me being able to submit this until sometime in 2014. Here is the intro:
In this exciting adventure, you must blast your way across explored space under the banner of the Terran Halberds. Your a new-blood in the military, and no one expects heroics out of you. Your job is to ensure the will of the commonwealth is upheld, while keeping humanity at large safe. You will have to hit the ground running, and maintain focus along the chaos to ensure that you, and your squad, survive the rigors of combat across space.
Humanity has become unified as a single entity. The Terran Commonwealth has become the champion of the people, and maintained an interstellar empire, spurring a golden age in all human technologies and sciences. With little more than exploring wondrous star systems, policing its trade routes and maintaining the loyalty of the fringe systems, it has become very complacent.
However multiple threats are skirting the edges of explored space. As if the opening moves in chess are being made, unaware, and against opponents unknown, humanity seems as unprepared as ever to face external threats of a hostile nature. As these pieces align themselves, fate has decreed no champion, no favorite, no hero. As if this could align any worse, internal strife has started to build within the commonwealth across its domain. And at the center of it all, is you!
When you are thrown into center stage, what choices will you make, and what will you sacrifice to save your home?
I’m still learning the ChoiceScript coding but I’ve begun writing a “Choice of” game named “Choice of Legions” where you are the youngest son(20 at the beginning) of a prominent family within the Roman Senate in 264 B.C. as the First Punic War begins. You are called away to serve Rome in the army as a Centurion due to your noble birth, instead of a regular hestati. I’m currently only on part 1: Invasion of Syracuse
I have been working on a project that I have titled “Trail of the Tigers”
The premise may be found below:
It’s 1920 and you are the renowned adventurer Harper Smith, on a mission from the Smithsonian Institute to find an ancient temple in the jungles of India. Rumor has it that this temple complex houses the fabled Eye of Shiva, a beautifully cut blue diamond worth millions of dollars if found, and lucky you; your patron just happened to come by a map. You’ll have to deal with perilous traps and rivals too, and that’s if you can stay alive long enough to make it to the temple. Deadly creatures abound and danger lingers around every corner, but if you’re smart, and lead your expedition wisely, you just might come out on top.
The focus is intended to be negotiating the challenges of leading an expedition in order to navigate to where the eye of Shiva is located, overcome the obstacles and get past all the traps. A unique ending is available for each of your party members depending on how you get along with them as well as a couple of romance options. I will be placing a demo in the WIP section shortly.
I am working on a game titled “Dark Shogun Online”. It takes place in the distant feature in the year 2060. You can find the summary, demo, and more on the forum topic:
You remember nothing. Just… Blackness. The terrorist attack did it to you… if you had not been injured… maybe you could recall more than that one thing. That you have people to protect.
In this game you choose between the good and the bad, the black and white of street crime versus the law. But it is never that simple is it? You are trying to cope with your slowly returning memories, and psychologically grappling with the unexplained events that happen around you. All the time.
Under such conditions moral lines blur. Will you seek the safety of the street gangs and their code of honor… or will you continue to put faith in the country that has failed you?
What will happen when a once willing weapon is no longer prepared to be a martyr for the cause? What will occur as you face your past and all the pain within its darkness?
The Gangs or the Law
The victim or the villain
The savior or the sacrifice
In Dark Prestige you will tread the fine line between politics, in gangs or the government
You will negotiate between dangerous allies, and discover the secrets for each scar etched on your skin
Been working off and on my choice-script game for a year or two, only a couple chapters completed. Thought I would post here as, according to the forum, there needs to be a heads up.
WIP title: “Chaos Theory.”
It is a post-apocalyptic adventure set in a near future world and adding in an apocalypse type situation, things falling from the sky, adding “magic” and new flora and fauna, along with changing the laws of physics significantly. Very loosely based on, really just inspired by, the Saga of Recluse book series’ world, the character wakes up from a coma in the hospital (cliche I know, but it works) and proceeds to discover not only how the world has changed, but how they themselves have changed.
I intend to ensure that all of the choices that the player makes are reflected within the world in one way or another, and to allow the player to make some of the larger decisions, giving access to multiple endings and multiple paths, including dying and restarting from a checkpoint. As well as to ensure pure gender neutrality, adjusting even the most basic text to reflect the players choices on both sex, sexuality, and play-style, to really help the player identify with their character.
I have been very busy these past few years working on my Bachelors in Computer Science, and have learned quite a lot about coding and game design. I fully intend to use these skills, and the fact that I have been reading sci-fi and fantasy novels most of my life, to create a game that anyone would enjoy. I will post again on these forums in the appropriate place when I have more to share.
I don’t remember if I’ve posted about it yet, but I have a game coming up that will be a new type of direction for choicescript’s use, I’m using an old version though so it isn’t as up to date as the new version and I will download the new version after I finish my project.
I’m taking a break from The Lost Heir. And, it’s just in time for NANOWRIMO. Can I get 50k of a story done in a month? Sure, why not!
My new story is called Life of a Gangster. You will begin as a child and participate in various criminal activities as you climb the ranks of an organized crime family. Similar to Life of a Wizard with a whole new setting.
I have a lot of the ideas floating around in my head. I’ll begin tomorrow. Wish me luck!
Hello, everyone. My father and I are currently working on a new story together, named Assassin’s Mark. It will be the first of a series of books set in the world of Zeurith, a robust world with a rich history and an extensive landscape. We are progressing at a fast rate. I won’t post any spoilers pertaining to the story, but the general idea is that you’re seeking revenge against the king for a traumatic event in your life.
We are already looking for testers. We have five slots open for testers as of right now, and we would appreciate feedback. You may visit our website and apply for testing at www.zeurith.com and can also join the forums and post in the general discussion branch if you don’t get into the alpha version of the testing.
Its called Life of Pie (i know you cant resist the name)
You basicly play as an apple that has to save the magical world of fantasy from them evil cupcakes, well if dat didnt get your attention then i dont know what i should do but here is the link for the story/discussion
I’m working on a new project called Aftermath. The setting is a world devastated by nuclear war and your main goal is to survive or even thrive depending on which of the three completely unique story lines you choose which are loner(possible chances of picking up people along the journey), raider(A graphic and bloody plotline for those with a bloodlust), or to rebuild your settlement and turn it into a thriving trading hub/militarized base.
The game i’m working on is titled “Death Reapers Contract”
Genre is horror, psychological, slice of life and humor.
Basically you just graduated from high school and entering college but got into an accident which ultimately kills you. You are then visited by a ferryman because apparently you don’t have a soul, the ferryman tells you that you’re a “soulless” thus cannot be reborn. The ferryman then proposes a contract with you, the contract will allow you to be a reaper so you can collect soul essence as an exchange you’ll be given a chance to be reborn again and not vanish.
I realized I never actually posted anything about my game here.
Team Zero
Ten years ago, you lead an elite team who saved the world from a superpowered madman. The team broke up, and everyone went their separate ways. Now, you’re together again for the first time in a decade for the funeral of one of your own. The game is told primarily in flashback, as you slowly reveal who these characters are, how you’re teammate died, and what exactly happened ten years ago.
One of my primary reasons for writing this game was the opportunity to play around with narrative structure. The game doesn’t necessarily play out in chronological order, and your actions in the past will affect the present and vice versa.
Probably not too impressive, but I am working on a game, I want to make it a series. The working title is “Big Sister’s Guide: Surviving a World for Zombies”
The story runs along the line of an asteroid hitting the earth, being taken to a military base in Nevada that your grandfather worked at, then a whole variety of mutated beings spilled out. Fifty years later, you come of age to join The Academy, an institution that trains young warriors and scientists to battle the infection which at this point has destroyed all communications and constantly takes new victims.
anyway, I’ll try to have a demo up, perhaps just uploading a compiled game from what I have so far?
Working on a game about revolutionaries (think French Revolution meets North Korea) and I’ve started a thread for it. I have the first chapter up as a working game, stat screens, and everything planned out. Am a longtime fan of the games here, so I am excited to be writing a choicescript game (I am a published author, so I do have experience in writing, and a computer science student, so I can sort-of code this). Hence do expect this to get finished!
I’m working on a zombie game, im not sure yet how i want to call it, for now just The Undead Apocalypse.
It’s still at the very begining.
Please: Play and Give a FEEDBACK.!!
thanks
I’m working on a game called After the End, it’s a game about surviving a post-apocalyptic nuclear fallout. I’m almost done with the demo, and I will make a discussion about it when I’m done with the demo.
Death Becomes You is the title i have just barely begun writing so you got a few months to a year for the first game of at least six to come they will be long and grueling but in the end I hope to have one of the best CoG books available but in the meantime I will also work on a few smaller games but my first priority will be Death Becomes You a game set in a land divided and full of magic and mystery as the main character you will be plunged into a war of such epic proportions that the very state of all the worlds\dimensions is in your hands and the hands of your allies whom you must choose wisely this game may take longer for me to produce than I said but hopefully not I am positive that the fan base that enjoys fantasy will be thrilled when it is released but I must warn you this will be a story of trials and redemption beyond what you have imagined there will be things that some of you may find appalling and anathema maybe even to strongly worded for some players to handle when the more lets say gruesome parts of the tale unfold I am a long way from a demo for the first installment and will not be posting many updates on my progress until I finish my writing then I will start with code and release upgraded and revised versions as frequently as possible. I am also enrolling in college and have other projects and studies so if this one gets shelved I do apologize
Yours Sincerely
Dominace Wilhelm Reese
