Are you working on a game in ChoiceScript? Let us know!

I’m in the process of converting a story that i made called A Tale of Phil, into a CS comic it’s going to be slow and a little different.
To maximize speed and ease I’m going to draw out the best story arc then go back and make choices
It’s about the life of a extordinairy young person at the end of the last Ice age set in the area of northern Europe, it’s going to be as true to life as my knowlege can make it, the only fantastic things will be how the people look at the world, they believe in spirits and gods, but they won’t interact with you.
Will you be a conqueror or lead by example?, good or evil?, can I draw it ?we will see.

If a picture is worth a thousand words I think I’m going to need at least fifty pages.

I am currently writing a story called “The Court” (the name may change later on). I started it with a story game builder on another site and am in the process of converting what I have.

It’s hard to explain. It’s like a maybe 17th century-ish culture (though with parts from anywhere between 1200-1700) in a magical realm ruled by an insane king. When I have finished converting what I have now I will post a demo and more information about the game.

Almost two years after the “Imprisoned” I finally started an another game.

There were thousands of inspirations, a couple of ideas, a bunch of problems, and many lessons learnt. But in the end I managed to decide.

I make a game under the working title: “The Orc”.

What I want to achieve in this game is:

  • recreate the feeling of might from the “Choice of Dragon”
  • utilize the new amazing ChoiceScript features
  • write a involving, interesting and epic story with twists and turns
  • make a character stats simple but significant
  • avoid gender and sexuality issues
  • conceal language mistakes with crude form
  • create a game of rare “you’re a bad guy” kind
  • refresh some of the “Imprisoned” ideas which are liked while avoiding it’s problems (unfortunate trial time bug)
  • make use of the community feedback
  • spice it with some humor
  • use as much of this knowledge as possible: http://www.choiceofgames.com/category/blog/game-design/

Planned schedule:

  • Teaser deployment: 19.09.2012 (a week from now)
  • Beta starts: 12.11.2012 (two months from now)
  • Final deployment: ~10.12.2012(around three months from now)

I’ve just begun working on what seems to become a huge project.
Unnamed as of yet, it is a story about a Junior Officer, fresh out of the Naval Academy. Short thereafter, you are assigned to duties aboard the TDS Castellan.

At the beginning of the game, you will have a choice between what branch of the ship (For example, tactical, communications, navigation, enginnering…), and the story branches out in entirely new ways depending on this decision.

Needless to say, it will be a ton of work writing the fluff, not to say assemble the whole thing to a coherent and enticing story. And on top of it all, I’m still a complete newbie with ChoiceScript. But, with some time, I think this could turn out pretty awesome.

Anyways, just wanted to give you a heads-up. Cheers!

Working on a medium sized project called ‘Revenge’s Kingdom’ Of which chapter one and the alpha/test demo will be released soon.
It’s about an otherwise isolated civilisation coming into contact with advanced outsiders and how you deal with that.
It’s my first game and a work in progress so I don’t have massive project goals other than to complete the game.

SLENDERMAN: THE GAME is about a stranded person who is fleeing from the mythical Slenderman. I am sorry to say, but it seems Choice of the Assassin is in the trashbag. RISE and this new game will be my main focus.

Working on “A Jester’s Tale”, a sort of dungeon crawler, but with an arena arc as well. Not sure how long it will be, but I’ve got a general sense that the story will include four divergent chapters based on player choices (meaning 16 total endings?) We’ll see.

Started my first game ‘Journey of One’. You take the role of a hero that must save the world from a great evil (cliche, I know). I intend for it to be medium-long in length and detail, but it’s all up to how fast I learn choicescript. And with that length, tons of ideas are needed. I’m completely open for suggestions and ideas as to what will happen.

We’re starting our first game “Rise of the Pirate.” You play as a pirate living in a moderate fantasy setting (I.e. you can use magic.) We intend for it to be from moderately long to long in every aspect. It’s going to take a while to make, and it depends on how fast we can learn to use choicescript. We are open to any suggestions/ideas/criticisms, and encourage plenty of input.

Hey there! I’m Saracenar, and I love writing and I love games. What better way to combine them than by creating a ChoiceScript text adventure?

I’ve just started working on a science fiction crime mystery, P.E.A.C.E. (still working on the title). If you want to check it out, head over to this thread, and let me know what you think!

Thanks!

Hello! I’m starting a game and it’s my first time doing so. It’s a mashup of steampunk/replicants/Downton Abbey-esque social climate. The title so far is The Ladies Maid. I’ll be posting more soon on a WIP page and will definitely be interested in feedback. Thanks!

I’m working on a game called Invincible. They details are in my discussion:

@MaraJade When Emma came…

(*) (*) (*) Life in Ancient Greece(*) (*) (*)

“When you wake up in the middle of nowhere and find yourself in the past with no way back to your own time, you must start life again in Ancient Greece. Will you align yourself with either Athens, Sparta or Olympia. But things will not be that easy. What will you do to make a livelihood: trade olives across the land and become a rich merchant or become a soldier to defend your city and participate in the Greco-Persian Wars or maybe even proclaim yourself as a god. Will you ever be able to return to your own time or remain here for ever.”

At the moment I’m working on Dawn of The Dragonrider

In which you can choose to be an elf, human or dwarf, meaning my game will have 3 complete different stories and multiple endings, and best of all lots and lots of choices =D

I’ve done some coding and writing before and I’m putting all my effort in this game to make it as enjoyable as when I first played choice of the dragon. Only Much bigger and longer =P

Hello  The choicescript game I’m working on is set in an office. You start off as a temporary employee and the choices you make determines whether you become a permanent one. Along the way, your co-workers can be your friend, your enemy, or your lover. For more info, please click below

Thank you!
