Hi Servant,
Glad you liked your time as an orc here! If, by WAAGH!, you mean a rolling conquest with your horde, you can indeed do this here. Unless I missed out on something? Do you mean when you are a non chief orc?
Cheers

Yeap just a grunt rushing into battle without a care for his life roaring with his similarly brave and or stupid littermates.
Ha, well put. At present, you can fight with the Green Legion without being a chief, or in the Western Hills as one of many of the gathered tribes against the human barbarians.
I am planning to add more for wandering orcs once I have pieced together the more epic endings.
Cheers!
This has become one of my favorite games in this genre. And there is still much more content to add!
At last we were able to conquer the human empire. Although I would like to go deeper into our decisions on conquered kingdoms. That is, the consequences of our decisions regarding the fate of elves, halflings, dwarves and now humans
do we destroy them? Did we establish alliances? Do we forgive them? Do we enslave them? Do we act in the same way with all races or do we treat each race differently? who love us and who hate us?
I want to read more about the state of the world after our conquests!
Thanks a lot for the game!
if u destroy something, then what was the point of conquering in the first place, but u can destroy the home of the dwarves or halfling if i remember well and leave them homeless, as for the alliance it was only the human empire we could arrange a alliance, since our mc empire was only equal to that of the empire and the other races would not have been able to make alliances with us since there were lacking in power both military and politically, who love us and hate us based on our actions, well it can be found in the relationship part of the stats, that u can see and also the they views along with it, well u can also check the place that says stats and scroll down to see the what the orc mc have done
Ratmen would be nice.
Also @NumberedEntity you did a great job with humor in this story. But maybe the next one can be of a more serious tone? With high stakes , family and friends , etc.
Another suggestion is to add more aggression from the other factions in this story.
Like itâs always been the orcs that are on the offensive even though they are in decline and are hated by all other factions.
Itâs kinda funny n strange that the humans and elves would just sit back and watch while the strength of the orcs grow considering that they are supposed to be the more intelligent races.
Great to see you veteran orcs back in the forum! Thanks for your continued support.
Elemental has explained it well here, C. You can keep track of othersâ opinions of you on the Stats screen. You can also have the elves aid you against the Empire. If you do not take the warpath, you will be in a different position in the minds of the other nations.
You can have peace or conquest, generally few in-betweens. As Elemental said, you can ally with the Empire once they recognise you as a great power.
I agree that adding more flavour text would be appreciated by those wanting more of a vision of the results of their actions. I could do this on my final run-throughs, once I have the rest of the game complete.
Cheers to both of you!
Hi WarArtist, thanks for playing and for your kind words.
The tone of this story is set by the orcs, brutal, a bit daft and comical. It tries to place the player in a similar mindset,
Another game, with a different focus, will certainly have a different tone and different stakes. Keep in mind, here, if you fail to conquer the Empire, the orcs will face extinction pretty big steak/stake!
The whole continent is in a state of decline due to long general peace and increasing corruption. The point is that, if you unify The Plains, you are n longer in decline but revitalised in this world of stagnation.
The âcivilizedâ nations have âgone softâ and scheme with each other. They can find out that this is a mistake if you choose to show them with your rolling conquests. Many time in history, so-called âmore intelligentâ cultures have fallen to more aggressive and brutal cultures (Mongols for one.)
There are also hidden stats. The more brutal you are, the larger the Empire army will be and the remnants of other powers will join their forces in Grandardgard. The Elves might even help you, due to their mistrust of the Empire, if you do not conquer them. Also, distance plays its part.
Our own history is replete with examples of rising powers taking advantage of other nationsâ fractured relations. Any rise of a great empire is partly because opponents did not settle their differences (internally and externally) and were picked off one by one.
For example, Romeâs rise across the Mediterranean world- the Gallic tribes didnât ally with the Parthians. Indeed the Gauls only put together a unified force when their very survival was threatened and they saw a chance to exploit an opportunity (Battle of Alesia, for example.)
However, if you fail at Granardgard, the world will react to your weakness and form a grand coalition.
Hope this explains my reasoning for passive nations. The key point is, that this is set in an age of general declines, which you, as an orc king, are able to take advantage of.
Cheers!
Vaguely remember an older game about playing as an orc from their life to death but this one blows it out the water with how much detail and lore is present.
Really impressed and canât wait until itâs all finished.
Hi Warriorking,
Iâm so happy you have enjoyed being an orc! Lore-wise, it was handy that much of this world already existed in my notes before I started writing, although I have had to flesh stuff out as I go.
This is my first choice-script game but a few years ago I made a sort of card game, where you made binary choices, swiping left or right every year of life, to decide on your orcs life. Lots of luck and a bit of stat management.
It was, in total, about 30k words. This is massively expanded but used the early game for the bare-bones skeleton and early concept.
With choice script, I make the orc world of my dreams and I hope of other playersâ dreams too!
Cheers!
You are making habit of making people content to lurk to login in back into their accounts just to post here arent you :D.
Unfortunately i didnt have much time for testing and but i will try to get you feedback despite Baldurs Gate 3
in meantime this should help. ChoiceScript Stats Modifier â ChoiceScript Stats 1.0 documentation
https://choicescript-stats-modifier.readthedocs.io/en/latest/cheatmaster.html#rest-cheatmaster
I tested this cheating tool and the first code works on your game. so it should ease your and other guys debugging and testing. Consider it my apology for not being as active as i would like due to some personal stuff im glad is behind me now
Thanks Caesar, this is a great tool!
I appreciate any help. Of course, real life must always come first and I hope youâre happy and well. The world is tough right now.
Haha, I think lurking with sudden bouts of enthusiasm is a very orc thing to do. I welcome it:)
Just downloaded BG3. Am holding back from booting it up until I get a word count down, though I am mentally distracted! I literally havenât experienced that little kid Christmas feeling for an age, but now it is rekindled!
I think the world may be a quieter place this weekend with all those tadpoles swimming in our minds
Cheers, and happy adventuring in the Forgotten Realms!
Thanks im happy to relax. Managed to find something through.
Game treats Mighty Guts as name not a title. that wouldnt be bad but its the only one i have seen that seems to do it and it doesnt give you option to refuse it.
Through i wonder if you are planning to add more interactions with Elves and Dwarves if you vassalize them or in general are diplomatic ? few scenes with culture etc. Or allowing player to visit Greenberg. Feldham might be useful to include just as scene in similar way to the GreenGentleman with two or three scenes but nothing big.
Also are you planning some comments on your Orcs age ? if im kicking ass while 65 there should be flavor text Imho.
BTW it feels kinda weird to go Big Belly then backout at last second and go to conqueror, like im supposed to be big massive yet the text then makes no mention of it. one would expect that even if it would be partly muscles the size would be mentioned.
And honestly the stuff with Emperor, i didnt expect that. By Krog You know what im talking about. Like Baldurs Gate tier writing here the twist is completely out of the leftield and yet makes full sense in retrospect due to lore you setup.
CANT WAIT for the confrontation with Cyclops and how far my Molotov-Ribbentrop(but this time it lasts) will go, considering i have Dark Elves and their goblin spiders, Foreign legion(through they were useless so far ) Elves,Dwarves and Halflings as Protectorates, Ironclad alliance, Imperial fucking Navy, a New World colonies and thats without touching the human rebellions or visitors to throne room that are in process. Holy shit with the way i have been optimizing the order of events (ie the order i take them in,didnt quite manage to make the Big belly fit into that stat optimalisation)
Honestly Cyclops are gonna be in trouble I figure i turned Arbit into equivalent of what if Roman And Han Empire were allied :D.
When are you gonna sell this stuff because you actually distracted me from Baldurs Gate (like sure i knew it would be just few hours so it was easier to finish whats new here first but still).
Wish you many happy Tadpoles
Hi Caesar,
I appreciate the playthrough while BG3 is there taunting in the background. Started it yesterday, am I am immersed!
I think it would be worthwhile to add more to the cultural/embassy paths with more interactions. Iâll add that to the list.
Keep in mind that the throne room visits will only be open to those who choose the culture/embassy path. The warpath is solely focused on conquest and gives the player a greater chance at defeating other powers in battle. This way, I can distinguish the âfeelâ of the paths better and also make replays more worthwhile
I need to add comments and events for an ageing orc. This will probably be when I am nearing completion of the whole game. At any rate, all orcs will find themselves getting long in the tooth when fighting the empire and preparing for the cyclopes. I am still figuring out how to handle this.
Yeah, I am considering compartmentalizing the big belly path off earlier. Life is shorter for those guys, though theyâll consume several lifetimes worth of grub.
When I get around to adding more events for wandering orcs, it would be great to allow visits to other parts of the map. Iâll keep this in mind.
The Emperor scene is my favourite So happy you liked it! And I love the Rome-Han United comment!!! My word, think how that would have changed the world!
As for selling it, the plan is to put it on Hosted Games. Iâm not sure about the ins and outs of this. I think, once the game is done, I need to put it on these forums for a month-long beta test, and then Hosted Games handles the rest. Iâll look into it nearer the time. I am excited about this though, as I think I have a worthwhile adventure here, something I can feel proud of.
BTW- I felt compelled to make a barbarian orc for my first BG3 playthrough!
Cheers for your support, Caesar, really appreciate it.
Love what youâve been doing as of recent mate itâs always a good day when I see a post and hope that your sea of green is seen by more! Canât wait to read more!
Thanks, Chickenboy!
Iâm sure youâve conquered those green seas with your navy. Your support really helps. Orcs canât thrive on their lonesome!
Cheers mate!
I was rather reluctant to try this as Iâm apparently rather more superficial than Iâd like to admit, and prefer reading about human princes or sorcerors to reading about orcs.
Iâm not done reading yet, but had to pause just to say great job. This is really good, lightly funny and so well put together.
Read it, even if youâre not into orcs.
Hi Kwartel,
I commend you for daring to dip your toe into the Green Life!
Youâre right, orcs are a bit niche. I think that can make them interesting; not so alien as to be wholly unrelatable but different enough to, hopefully, provide the player with a relatively unique experience.
Glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate the kind words and support.
Cheers!
IMPORTANT- Old saves will cause errors with a few variables of which I have changed the data type for this update. It is highly recommended that you make a new save.
UPDATE 5 (27th August 2023): 166k words added, totalling 610k
-It is time to face the wrath of the cyclopes. Fall to defeat or rise as an epic hero of legend to save the world.
-Added a war report screen that you can access at the outbreak of general war with the cyclopes. This will follow the advance of the enemyâs armies across the continent, while you prepare for the inevitable final stand.
-Before the conflict, set about forming the policies and character of your kingdom, including your succession policy. This will affect your end-game legacy.
-If you choose to focus on culture or diplomacy, over war and your army, meet many visitors to your throne room. You might even be able to get a dragon!
You can now take an orc from the moment of birth to imperial conqueror and to world saviour before old age finally takes him. This is the main meat of the game and by far the longest path.
Next, I will be completing the Dark Path. I am considering tying in the city-building paths to the life of a general wandering orc, though this may change.
Since this is a WIP things are liable to change. All feedback, typos and bug-hunting is much appreciated. Go forth, young orc and make the world learn your name!!!
